Chapter 243 A Princess In A Carriage

Chapter 243 A Princess In A Carriage

Allen and his chat group members noticed that a magic beast at High Realm Intermediate Stage was the cause of the disturbance. The magic beast resembled a lion but with a huge size and purple fur.

The magic beast was attacking a group of humans that wore armor and attire similar to that of a knight. And those knights were preventing the magic beast from approaching a royal carriage that was behind their formation.

Witnessing such a cliche scenario, an evil expression sported Allen’s face as his mind was filled with schemes while he thought of ways to take advantage of such an opportunity.

The gears in Allen’s mind started turning as he activated his <Supreme Analyst> talent. His mind’s perception of time became faster as his surroundings of Allen became slower.

‘To think that I would encounter such a cliche situation. If I am not wrong, then those groups of Mid Realm Peak Stage should be knights, and the royal carriage should belong to a noble or at most someone from a royal bloodline.’

‘There is no way for the group of knights to defeat the High Realm Intermediate Stage magic beast but from what I have detected, there should be a High Realm Initial Stage knight hiding amongst the group of knights which should be the leader of those knights.’

Allen noticed that there was a High Realm Initial Stage knight amongst the group of Mid Realm Peak Stage knights.

‘But even with the group of Mid Realm Peak Stage knights and a High Realm Initial Stage knight, it is impossible for them to defeat the High Realm Intermediate Stage. After all, from what I have analyzed, it would take a group of High Realm Intermediate Stage knights to defeat a magic beast at High Realm Intermediate Stage.’

‘The magic beast in this world is a lot stronger than the humans here to the point that it would take a group of humans to take on a magic beast of the same power level as theirs.’

Allen knew that those humans couldn’t defeat the magic beast, and he knew that for their plans, he needed those knights to die so that he could play the hero and earn the favor of those inside the royal carriage.

Allen had all of the time he wanted to analyze his plans since he had used his <Supreme Mage> talent earlier to use presence erasure magic on himself, Iris, Deus, and John. So those weaker than a Heretic God couldn’t detect their presence.

Only a Heretic God could detect Allen’s usage of magic spells, so even if Allen used magic to make all of the knights sleep, they wouldn’t be able to find out his location.

But Allen didn’t use any curses to weaken the knights, or else it would raise the guards of those inside the royal carriage and would even let them think that someone was sabotaging the knights. So if he did that and saved them, it would only raise suspicions towards himself.

And besides, Allen didn’t even need to weaken the knights since they were already weak against the magic beast, and it wouldn’t take a few minutes for the group of knights to be killed by the magic beast.

With that in mind, Allen deactivated his <Supreme Analyst> talent and observed the knights getting mangled, torn apart, and eaten by the magic beast as the magic beast overpowered them. But Allen didn’t flinch when he witnessed such a gory scene, and instead, he eagerly waited for them to die so that his plan would be in motion.

After a few minutes had passed, only the High Realm Initial Stage knight remained, but at the cost of that knight having his right arm severed. His armor was already useless as it was broken to the point that it could no longer protect the knight. And since the knight’s dominant arm was severed, it only meant that his death was inevitable.

The knight picked up his longsword that fell off the ground using his left hand. The knight gripped it as tight as he could while he bravely confronted the magic beast, despite the damage that had accumulated in his body. Even if the knight somehow managed to win against the magic beast, he would still die from blood loss, so the knight’s death was inevitable.

On the other hand, the magic beast only had a few minor cuts on its body and no major injuries whatsoever. It wouldn’t take a genius to know that the magic beast would win in the death battle against the knight.

‘The knight’s loyalty and bravery are commendable. Unfortunately, in this cruel world, only power matters, and everything else is secondary.’

Allen lamented how cruel the world was, but he didn’t do anything to change the knight’s fate. Doing so would be detrimental to his plans.

The lion magic beast slashed its huge and sharp claws toward the neck of the knight, but before it could behead the knight, a magic barrier prevented its claws from beheading the knight.

But in just a second, the magic barrier broke, but a second was enough time for the knight to dodge the claws of the magic beast.

Afterward, a magic barrier that surrounded the whole carriage became larger until it protected the knight inside the magic barrier. The magic beast attacked the magic barrier, but its attack rebounded as the magic barrier was too tough for its attack to break.

Infuriated at such hindrance, the lion magic beast continuously attacked the magic barrier, but no visible damage was done to the magic barrier except for the magic barrier’s energy becoming weaker.

The royal carriage’s door opened as it revealed a fifteen-year-old girl wearing a princess dress with a red and yellow color scheme. The girl had long flowing golden blonde hair that was adorned by a silver crown embedded with sapphire jewels.

The princess’ red wine eyes surveyed the surroundings, and after noticing the knights’ corpses riddled on the ground while the knight commander’s body was close to dropping dead, her eyes shrank in fear.
