Chapter 496 The Forbidden Library, The Academic World (1)
The world on the other side of the door was not easy to describe. Even Matthew had to be surprised, but before checking this world, he turned to see if the people behind him could withstand this sun.
To his surprise, this sun did not put any of them at risk. Although most of them could not look directly at it because they would feel pains in their eyes, they did not feel that it would adversely affect their flesh.
Although Matthew found this surprising, suddenly, a voice rang through the world. It sounded like an ancient and powerful voice, but it was also somewhat robotic.
[Welcome to the Academic World, External Vampires. You may enjoy the Academic World while it is open. There are countless books in this place, telling the extensive history of this world. If you're lucky you might come across books of skills or even more amazing things...]
In the end, the voice suddenly went silent for a few seconds before speaking again.
[Heir's presence detected]
[Welcome back, Heir Matthew Dietrich, to your world. It has been a long time since you were last here]
[The Third Gate of the Academic World has been claimed by Heir Matthew Dietrich. From now on, the Third Gate will be under his control and will not be closed unless The Heir so desires]
[The World has been prepared for you, Heir]
[Good luck in your investigations, Heir Matthew Dietrich]
This slightly strange, robotic voice did not cease speaking despite each word being more startling than the last.
The revelations shocked everyone present except Isla. Even Alice was astonished, though she had no questions for Matthew, as she already knew.
And Jack Allen wasn't stupid. This time, he wasn't so much surprised as smiling. 'As I expected... A Dietrich Heir... For God's sake, is this really happening?' Somehow, he was excited and couldn't understand the motives.
Maybe he, too, had that love for the Dietrich Era that his father had, but he didn't know.
But the rest of the people were all in shock and looked at Matthew; maybe they wanted answers.
But they also couldn't help but look at the world unfolding before them.
The first thing they saw was a vast open World full of plains and mountains, with trees of many sizes. It seemed to be a vast world. It had a lot of attractions, but there was nothing, maybe only small animals. It was a great visual wonder.
But, in the distance, following the road in front of them, stood a colossal library that gave a sense of grandeur.
A vast, beautiful, well-decorated royal castle housed the enormous library, which could be seen without problems from the outside due to its huge transparent windows. The castle had 15 floors in total, which was ridiculous for such a gigantic construction.
But every corridor did not seem to be free. From a distance, you could see a massive number of books in every corridor and on large shelves.
From a distance, it appeared to be a book-based maze.
'What amazing architecture! How can they make a building with so many floors, being so big, and having so much weight?' Matthew couldn't help but wonder.
But before he did that, he noticed some people looking at him, so he sighed.
He was also surprised that this world recognized him as Heir and said all that to the world. He couldn't tell where the voice came from either, but several memories came to his mind since that voice spoke.
'I have visited this place quite a few times before. But I can't remember the contents of the books I read. What a strange situation of mine.'
He looked at those looking at him strangely and shrugged his shoulders.
"The Forbidden Library is free for all of us to use. The research we need to do this time is about curses. I think there should be information about it here. You are free to do it as you wish." He said, turning around to start walking and pulling Alice, Isla, and Emma.
The latter was in shock. She had not expected her gamble, which initially seemed risky, to be so successful.
She had chosen a side so amazing that she might even tremble excitedly.
Since Matthew didn't want to be questioned because he remembered almost nothing about this place, he decided to go himself with his women and Emma. At least with them, he could get out quickly by answering truthfully. The other old men were more stubborn; surely, they would not believe such an answer.
Although he ignored the fact that those guys right now wouldn't even dare to ask him a question. Who the hell would question a man who had just been recognized as 'Dietrich's heir'?
It made sense to them that he was so talented and powerful. Who else could do something like that if he wasn't a Dietrich?
Now, that changed the big picture of this world.
But it excited Mr. Librarian. He shivered. 'Hehe, so what I read in that book when I came in here was true... A new era... Right?'
He was so excited that he ran into the library after Matthew.
For him, as a loyal Dietrich lover, this was the best thing that could happen to him. To have the honor of 'teaching' a few things to someone so important, who would take that honor away from him now?
That was why he was so excited.
After a long walk down the road leading to the enormous gate of the Castle, Matthew entered through it, and the colossal library came into view.

'God, it's bigger seen from here.'
Looking up, he felt small.
Very small!
Still, he noticed something else, for which he frowned. "There are a lot of spirits here." He said suddenly.
Many spirits were among the books, resting on top of them or floating in the air with no fixed destination.
None of them have bodies, but they are everywhere.
Alice nodded shortly after. "You're right... I can feel them. Does this world belong to the Spirit World?" She asked, confused.
Matthew didn't know how to answer her, and the Spirit Essence didn't respond.
As Matthew looked around, thinking about which place he should start from, suddenly, a movement of highly concentrated spiritual energy swirled over his head and entered his body with force.
He couldn't help it, but it didn't seem bad.
Even Alice noticed.
"What's going on, Matt?" she asked in shock, and Matthew shook his head.
"A lot of information from the books in this place, its shelves and divisions, just entered my mind. It entered in the form of Spiritual Energy." He replied, obviating a few issues.
Still, he looked at the ring on his finger. 'It absorbed all the Spiritual Energy, so it wasn't hard to process all the information. Apparently, it's a mental protector as well.'
