Protagonist's Evil System: My Girlfriend Turned Into A Dragon

Chapter 60 Leaving

Chapter 60 Leaving

A minute of silence covered this room...

Blank, and surprised faces were worn as everyone's expression, "you cheated because you wanted to, you didn't love me..." Kalaini spoke softly.

Her face started to get redder and blotchy, Kalaini's eyelids became puffy and before she was able to speak, she noticed that she got a lump in her throat, "yo-you bastard!" Her voice cracked.

Observing this whole situation, Lucas decided to intervene.

The boy was crying, Kalaini looked like she was about to cry too, Xina was passed out and Kali was in the kitchen with a stiff body, 'this is just ridiculous...' Lucas slapped his face.

"Listen, I don't know what is going on between you two, but we must start moving!" He sighed, "the more we spend time here the more suspicious everything gets..." He moved his shoulders a bit.

Lucas was afraid that if they will spend any more time here, he would be further from his goal of getting out of there.

Now they got a full team, they had food and weapons, and he needed to learn to control his spirits. Kali was slowly turning into a dragon again, so this was not what he wanted right now.

The castle they were supposed to go to yesterday wasn't even this far compared to the city of elves. To sit in this one dark, large room and argue about the past that's already been discussed probably multiple times, he didn't have time to do that.

"Listen, guys, Lucas is right," Kali spoke from behind with her soft feminine voice.

This was a happy and unhappy moment, but they had to keep moving.

"She's right, we shouldn't be wasting any more time, Kalaini, forget the past..." Haya leaned his head down and glanced at her.

"Forget to forget..." Kalaini looked calmer now than before.

When she was raising her hands and her face turned red, Lucas thought that it might be dangerous for Haya, but him interrupting this whole fiasco, she looked like she had given up.

"Okay, wake up Xina and start packing," Lucas gave a command to everyone with an expressionless face.

Haya took his bag from the chair and started looking for something inside, pulling and pushing things with his hands, he removed a pair of shoes that looked just like they would be a good fit for the boy.

"I bought these, had to unlock a person, but I'm sure they would be helpful."

Everyone silenced themselves again when Haya walked towards the boy and gently lifting his one foot, he put on these brown, leather-made shoes on him.

"It fits well," his voice sounded brighter.

Everyone turned to the boy who was scrubbing his nose, "if you will cry, we will leave you here, be a big boy." Haya patted his head gently, then stood up.

"Okay, let's go then!" Haya spoke loudly as he placed both of his hands on his waist.

They all began to pack their things, putting knives in small sacks and their backpacks, food supplements, gowns and hoodies, "it's all ready now..." Spoke Lucas when he turned around to Xina waking up.

Her neck was swollen up and had bright red lines from the strangling of Kalaini's rope, "this bitch..." She said murmured while touching her soft neck.

"Xina, we have to move now," Haya spoke as if nothing had happened a couple of hours ago.

Only Haya and Kalaini knew why Xina was acting this way...

In a previous story, this boy was sacrificed to die, you could tell that it was kinda his fault that the plot changed and Izek killed Xina's mother.

This time, Xina thought if she could kill the boy before the black wizard does, she could easily avoid her own death. Since her mother is no longer here and the story follows the events, then the next person who will have to die will be Xina.

She already accepted it, not fully but deep inside she knew she was going to die. You either obey the system and die naturally or vanish into a thin air without following the rules.

One thing that made her happy was that the system didn't bother to control their mind anymore, it allowed everyone to move freely as long as they take its commands.

The spirits, elves, dwarves and weapons, everything had a meaning in this story no matter how you look at it, the story had to be followed here, and Xina was destined to die.

Looking at the boy who was just as innocent as she, was when she was her age gave her a heavy feeling in her chest, as her heart throbbed as she felt ashamed of her actions.

She couldn't face his eyes, so she kept looking at the shoes he was wearing, realising that it was Haya who probably bought it for him made her eyes twinkle as she lifted her lips a bit.

Her eyelids were low, and she didn't know what to say to everyone exactly, so she just kept quiet with her eyes shut too.

"Xina, can you hear me?" Lucas was behind her tapping on her shoulder gently.

"Yes, you moron..." She inhaled some air.

"We're going now," he replied to her offensive comment.

She stood up from the bed she was sitting on and looked around the place they were staying, the beds were made and the food was gone into their backpacks. Everyone had their gowns on their heads and was ready to move.

"Xina, put this one on," Lucas handed her the same coat she was wearing yesterday, "let's go to Lya's castle now."

She looked at Lucas and everyone who decided to ignore yesterday's incident and just moved on following their main goal and plan. This story wasn't about Xina or her dreams, she just wanted to be freed from this ruthless plot.

"You're right, let's go!" She gave him a kind smile when putting this gown on her head.

She couldn't do anything right now, but accept the fact that this story wasn't about her.
