Chapter 326 - The Regent’s Little Emperor (51)
The Regent’s Little Emperor (51)
Bai Weiwei seemed to worry that he would go crazy again after she called him gege.
She shrank into herself. Her clothes had been torn apart. Even if she tried to cover herself, she was still half-exposed.
Xie Yunting looked at her white skin. There were some traces of bruising where he pinched her too hard.
He saw her looking at him in anxiety. Her body quivered, and though she tried to stay calm, he could still see her fear.
Xie Yunting suddenly felt his heartache. Even after she became a puppet emperor, her life was in danger day and night.
But she had never been this terrified.
He still remembered when she was cheerful and witty in front of him, when she was calm and at ease.
Was he willing to see her forced to this extent?
Xie Yunting took off his outer robe and pulled her into his arms.
And then wrapped his robe around her.
Bai Weiwei was somewhat dazed. She seemed to have no idea what he wanted to do.
She somewhat withdrew from his embrace, not daring to relax her stiffened body.
Xie Yunting certainly knew why she had her guard up. In her eyes, he was no better than a beast, filthy and obscene.
He coldly said: “Until you are washed clean, I will not touch you.”
Bai Weiwei: She was dirty?
Xie Yunting continued, snorting: “You smell like Chen Jingzhi.”
Bai Weiwei: Brain hole is a disease, ah. You see things and your brain hole makes your nose start hallucinating. She hadn’t even touched Chen Jingzhi’s hand, just where did she smell like him?
Xie Yunting gritted his teeth. “You think I’m very hungry and thirsty1? Can you claim such a thing?”
Bai Weiwei heard him and knew that he wouldn’t touch her.
Her stiff body slowly relaxed.
Xie Yunting’s fingers tightened. Her soft body pressed against him, making his heart leap and his mind race2.
But because he couldn’t stand her fear, he still tried to maintain an expression of loathing.
Bai Weiwei weakly leaned against him. Her drooping eyelashes, cast a shadow over her eyes, making her look melancholy.
Suddenly the carriage jolted.
Bai Weiwei was unable to stop herself from pressing against him. Xie Yunting’s breathing caught, and her entire body was seated on his.
The fire in his heart couldn’t be contained.
A certain place stood up.
Bai Weiwei licked her lips and seemed to be confused. But very quickly she realized that he’d had a reaction.
What about his promise that he was not hungry or thirsty?
Seeing the ridicule in her eyes, Xie Yunting wished he could throttle his lower half that failed to live up to his expectations.
She only casually leaned over. She wasn’t even teasing.
And he still couldn’t endure.
Bai Weiwei shifted away, not daring to press against him.
But Xie Yunting thought that she was preserving her integrity for Chen Jingzhi.
He couldn’t help but laugh cruelly. “Did you know? When those imperial court officials found out that Chen Jingzhi broke out of prison, they all sent in a memorial demanding he be killed.”
Bai Weiwei paled, and her eyes flashed with worry.
Xie Yunting’s heart filled with lead. He had wanted to upset her.
But because she was upset over Chen Jingzhi, his heart was even more chaotic.
“Do you think I should promise those ministers to kill Chen Jingzhi?”
His tone carried a hint of evil innocence, as though killing Chen Jingzhi wasn’t his intention, but was in order to deal with those officials.
Bai Weiwei finally lost her cool. She raised her head, and her voice carried a hint of pleading.
“Don’t kill him.”
It was only three words, but they were soft and vulnerable, even fragile.
He glanced down and saw her looking up at him. Below her pure white, slender neck, her clothes had slipped to her shoulders due to the carriage jolting. The sight of that snow-white chest that tried not to press against him entered his eyes.
