Chapter 388 The Red Second Generation’s Abandoned Former Wife (41)
Bai Weiwei appeared pale and dazed sitting on the bed. She didn’t have a sharp spirited appearance; instead she was exhausted and embarrassed.
Su Shian slowed down, only feeling a twinge of pain in his heart.
He walked heavily to Bai Weiwei.
“Don’t worry, I’ll go through with the procedure.”
Bai Weiwei looked at him, her voice a little soft, but listless.
Su Shian had never had a day he was so timid before, he endured, but still couldn’t smooth out his voice.
“The child is, is it mine?”
This sentence, made her eyes sharpen.
Su Shian, looking into her cold eyes, said word by word: “Chen Wenfeng said, you didn’t have a relationship.”
The only man Bai Weiwei was in contact within this time was Chen Wenfeng.
He and Chen Wenfeng hated to see one another, but they also knew each other for more than ten years.
Chen Wenfeng wouldn’t lie about such a thing.
Bai Weiwei said faintly, “Oh, so? Is Chen Wenfeng your true love? Whatever he says, you will believe it at once.”
Su Shian frowned, “Don’t joke around, Weiwei.”
Bai Weiwei’s eyes were chilly, her cheeks pale, her bloodless lips containing a heartbreaking fragility.
She suddenly became angry. Her fury made her soft look completely burst out with a terrific momentum.
“Su Shian, I loved you for many years, your heart has not counted yet?”
Bai Weiwei reached out to him and frigidly said: “My love for you for so many years, in your eyes, is cheap goods that can be thrown away. As soon as I turn around, you think I can sleep with other men and have children. In your heart, am I the kind of slut who takes three in the morning and four at night?”
Su Shian was startled, his heart feeling like it was being hollowed out. He struggled to open his mouth, “No.”
Bai Weiwei: “Shut up. So what if the child is yours. Left or right, it’s just a vile seed.”
Su Shian’s face was white, “Don’t say that about the child.”
Bai Weiwei look very cold, “When I came back to you, my heart actually had a little expectation.”
Her words made the uneasiness in Su Shian’s heart even greater.
“I thought you might care about me. If I tried a little bit harder, maybe you......”
Bai Weiwei’s voice choked up. She laughed at herself, before gently finishing: “Would be attracted to me.”
Su Shian was a little unstable. He finally found out what he had lost.
He broke her heart and she was still willing to come back.
Not for Chen Wenfeng, but for him.
He thought of this morning. She leaned against the door of the room, smiled gently and asked: “Su Shian, you really like me?”
When she asked for this sentence, her eyes were full of stars.
Full of anticipation, as if they had seen infinite possibilities, and she was still trying to approach him step by step.
But what did he say?
He broke the stars in her eyes.
Bai Weiwei suddenly bowed her head, a tear in her eyes falling. She immediately wiped it away with her hand.
Then she looked up again and calmly said, “I’m going to take this kid out and then we’re breaking up.”
When Su Shian heard this, he couldn’t care about his heartache. He rushed to her in a few steps.
Then he raised her face and observed her eyes seriously.
There was no sorrow and no joy in her eyes, only calm, tiredness and endless depth.
No shyness, admiration, aspiration, or tenderness.
There was nothing left.
Su Shian finally panicked. He was like a child that threw away his watermelon for sesame seeds1.
He couldn’t help but try to maintain his image.
He tried to recover, “Weiwei, actually I ...... I’m......”
He spent most of the day, but he found himself unable to justify anything.
He was such a slag that he couldn’t find a point where he could beg for pity.
Bai Weiwei freed herself from his hands, got out of bed, said to the doctor: “Let’s start the procedure. We will resolve this quickly.”
Su Shian rushed up to her, his face flushed.
Suddenly he exhausted all his strength. Even his ears were red. His words came out bit by bit.
“I like you.”
This sentence, he finally said.
Jerky and timid, but holding a man’s most childish and sincere heart.
Then Bai Weiwei heard the system’s prompt.
?Ding, the male lead’s favorability is at 60, 65.?
1: I think it’s based on a fable about a little monkey who went down the mountain to pick a peach. Along the way back he threw aside the peach to carry a bag of rice (corn, grain, something like that), then the rice/whatever for a watermelon. Finally, spotting a wild rabbit, he set down the watermelon and chased after the rabbit. But he lost sight of the rabbit, and because it was getting dark, he had to return home without even the watermelon. Basically a story about being too greedy and ending up with nothing in the end. Not too sure where the sesame seed part came from, unless it’s based on a different version of the story from what I came across.
OH apparently it’s about a monkey who lost/gave up the watermelon for a sesame seed. Basically means that he paid attention to minor things (the child’s parentage?) at the expense of bigger things (her love for him). ?
