Chapter 220: Fighting Race
Chapter 220: Fighting Race
Raymond decided.
‘I will push out Hellfire with an energy explosion and get out.’
Raymond’s decision was to retreat.
Balrogs enjoyed fighting. They like fighting enough to be called a race of fighting.
But now, the situation was not a battle, but a one-sided massacre.
He liked to fight, not to be slaughtered.
“Ahhhh”
Raymond exploded his energy with a roar.
*Bang*
Fortunately, Hellfire was scattered with energy spreading everywhere. And Raymond quickly retreated.
It was then that Raymond looked at his ankle as he felt a burning pain.
Something black like a spear pierced his ankle.
‘What is that?’
Raymond lowered his head along the black spear and soon found something.
He did not know exactly what it was. It was all black. What will it look like when the shadow rises?
However, one thing was certain: it was a being summoned by humans.
‘It pierced my skin. It’s not an ordinary summon.’
Raymond swung his hand and threw an energy at the summoned beast.
*Bang*
The summons could not avoid the energy blast. They were destroyed immediately.
Naturally, the black spear that pierced Raymond’s ankle also disappeared.
As the black spear disappeared, his skin quickly healed and began to recover, then Raymond started running away.
‘It wasn’t just one.’
Raymond clearly remembered the energy signature of the summoned beast that he just killed.
Because he might see them again later. What if they attacked him at a crucial moment?
So, he memorized it. And now that energy signature was felt from his front.
Raymond threw an energy blast towards the place where he could feel the energy.
*Bang*
The energy signature of the summoned beast was extinguished in the explosion.
‘Huh, again?’
As soon as he annihilated a summoned beast, he felt the energy again.
This time it was two.
As before, Raymond threw an energy blast to the place where the energy of the summoned beast was felt.
*Bang*
The energy of the summoned beast disappeared in the explosion as well.
‘I don’t think there are any more.’
He no longer felt the energy.
‘Has he given up?’
Whether it was because of the distance or for some other reason, he was not attacked.
‘I’m glad.’
Raymond was relieved as he came out of the village.
And as he headed to the Temple of the Balrog, he remembered the human that exuded the magic energy.
‘There is an unexpected variable.’
_________
Soo Hyuk was perplexed as he watched the increasingly distant Balrog ‘Raymond’.
“What? Why is he running away?”
It is not that he did not think Raymond would run away.
He thought about it, but since it was a Balrog called a fighting race, he thought that the probability of it happening was close to zero.
“Huh.”
Raymond was so ridiculously fast that he did not even think about chasing him.
Raymond then disappeared from his view.
Soo Hyuk looked at the notification with a nonsensical laugh.
[The ‘Child of Darkness’ has been destroyed.]
[The ‘Child of Darkness’ has been destroyed.]
There were a total of 4 messages.
“He broke through the ‘Children of Darkness’.”
Considering that possibility Soo Hyuk blocked the escape route with the ‘Children of Darkness’.
However, Raymond annihilated all of them and fled.
Soo Hyuk turned his gaze away from the message and looked at the drop window.
-Obtained 4 Balrog’s Soulstone
-Obtained 5 Balrog’s Blood
-Obtained 3 Balrog’s Horn
-Obtained 7 Balrog’s Tendons
-Obtained 4 Energy Spirits
Looking at the drop window, Soo Hyuk muttered.
“Hellfire is amazing.”
It killed three Balrogs in one shot. It did not take long, only a few seconds.
“Are the Balrogs weak?”
Soo Hyuk confirmed the drops and looked around.
Buildings that were horribly destroyed by the Balrogs came into view.
“I’m glad the library is on the other side.”
The Totokin library was located to the east of the village.
Only the western part of the village suffered damage from the Balrogs’ attack. In other words, there was no damage to the library.
Although he missed one, Soo Hyuk was satisfied that there was no damage to the library.
It was then.
“Soo Hyuk!”
Soo Hyuk turned back at someone shouting his name.
‘Dehelen?’
Soo Hyuk was a little surprised as he turned back.
It was because the main character of the shout was Dehelen, a High-Class Demon managing Ebratam.
“Long time no see!”
Dehelen came over and greeted him.
Then the demons who came with him in the back also greeted Soo Hyuk.
“It is an honor to meet you.”
“I came here because the Balrog attacked…”
Dehelen blurred the end of his words.
After hearing his words Soo Hyuk conveyed what happened before.
“A total of five Barlogs appeared, and I killed four of them. The High Balrog ran away.”
Dehelen was very surprised at Soo Hyuk.
“Did you say it was a High Balrog?”
Dehelen then asked with a surprised expression.
“Yes, it was a High Balrog named Raymond, but he ran away during the battle.”
Dehelen could not say anything at Soo Hyuk’s words.
‘Fought five Balrogs and killed four.’
It was so amazing.
‘He made the High Balrog run away?’
What kind of existence was the High Balrog?
The High Balrog had the fighting ability to face even the highest rank of demons.
‘How strong are you?’
Such a Balrog ran away?
‘If Soo Hyuk helps us in the war…’
Dehelen thought.
Currently, the 10th Demon World is at war. What if Soo Hyuk can help?
With Soo Hyuk’s power that killed three Barlogs lightly, helping the Amiletta faction.
‘We can win.’
The war could end. They will also achieve an overwhelming victory without much damage.
“How is the war situation now?”
Soo Hyuk asked.
“Did you know that the war had begun?”
“Yes, I could not come because I had work to do, but I think it will be finished today. Tomorrow morning, I plan to start with Ilom.”
Dehelen exclaimed.
“Now.”
Then he began to explain the current war situation.
_______________
“Hmm, that’s weird.”
Isaac sighed.
“It’s time to return.”
Dogra was supposed to return from his mission at Cashew, but did not appear.
“The first person to fail to appear.”
All those who had been on duty elsewhere returned from their missions. Only Dogra did not make it.
“?”
Isaac stood up with a puzzled expression on his face.
“I don’t know if I should give him a report.”
It was time to report to Ramos. Isaac groaned as he left the room.
Then he headed to Ramos’s room.
*Knock*
“It’s Isaac.”
Isaac said after knocking on the room door.
“Come in.”
Ramos’ voice was heard, and Isaac opened the door and went inside.
As soon as he stepped inside, Isaac could not help but be amazed. It was because something had disappeared before his eyes.
‘Is that a person?’
He disappeared in an instant, so he could not look closely, but it was clear that someone had been talking to Ramos before.
‘Who the hell is that?’
Isaac sat down opposite Ramos, thinking about the person who had just disappeared.
“How did it go?”
Ramos asked as soon as Isaac sat down.
“That…”
Isaac frowned at Ramos’s question and looked into his eyes. Did Ramos have a foreboding feeling as Isaac blurred the end of his words? His eyebrows narrowed slightly as he asked.
“Is it a failure?”
“Sorry. One member still did not return.”
Isaac said as he checked Ramos’s expression.
The narrowed forehead returned to its original state. And a soft smile appeared on his lips.
“One person? So, what about the other places?”
“The mission has been successfully completed and it is currently in storage in the basement.”
“Good, very good.”
Ramos nodded his head with a satisfied look.
“But where was the missing one?”
Ramos asked.
“Cashew.”
Isaac responded with a smile at Ramos’s satisfied expression.
“Cashew?”
At Ramos’s change of voice, Isaac could sense that something was wrong.
“Cashew from the Principality of Illyin?”
“…Yes.”
“You mean the Cashew with the book and the statue?”
“…That’s right.”
Isaac answered, swallowing his saliva.
It was Ramos who had just been satisfied with the mission’s success. Why is he suddenly reacting like that?
‘The mission was not that important.’
The stuff brought from elsewhere were essential for their future plans. But the things in Cashew village were not necessary for them. Why did he need to bring them? These were things he did not know.
Ramos sighed.
“I have something to think about for a moment.”
“Ok.”
In such an uncomfortable mood Isaac got up quickly.
Then he said goodbye to Ramos and left the room.
As soon as Isaac left, someone appeared in the room.
It was the one that had disappeared when Isaac came in just before.
“If it’s Cashew, isn’t that where they are?”
The being who had been listening to the entire conversation while hiding asked Ramos.
“Right. It is where they are.”
“Things that the Master loves.”
“I know.”
“I’m glad you know.”
“Erimen!”
“I thought that you may have forgotten.”
At Ramos’s cry, Erimen shrugged his shoulders.
“Then bring it this time.”
Ramos did not say anything at Erimen’s words.
He did not even look at him. It was Ramos that wanted Erimen to disappear.
“Sigh!”
Erimen sighed as if he had something on his mind before he left.
“They told me to deliver this at the Dark Hall.”
Then he took out a small scroll from his arms and held it out to Ramos.
Ramos did not pick up the scroll and sat with an annoyed expression on his face, Erimen shrugged his shoulders once more and put the scroll down on the desk.
“They are tracking you at the Tower of Poison. It is written down to how far they have been tracking. There is also information about the Tower of Poison’s Lord.”
Erimen then told Ramos as he disappeared.
‘About Pavian?’
Confirming that Erimen had really gone, Ramos reached out towards the scroll on his desk.
Then he opened the scroll.
“Sigh”
Looking at the scroll, Ramos sighed.
“You’ve already tracked down this part.”
Then he chuckled.
“Great.”
Other countries are still suffering because of the Chimeras. They did not have a lot of manpower available. Even though they were not harmed by Chimeras they must have been busy helping other regions. Yet they still managed to uncover all of that, it is the Tower of Poison indeed.
“If it wasn’t for the Dark Hall, they would have already caught his tail.”
Ramos burned the scroll after reading it.
“They told me this…”
And thought, blurring the end of his words.
It was written how much the tower managed to uncover, and how Pavian would move.
The reason for telling him these things was obvious.
-Insert villain laugh 1- (TN: Imagine a typical James Bond villain laugh)
Ramos laughed slyly.
