Chapter 70: Shen You Fell Sick
Shen You felt a little tired, so she went back to her room after telling everyone.
Only Xie Xiao and Zhu Ge, who were at loggerheads with each other, and Xie Chen, who was eating melons innocently, were left in the coffee shop.
Shen You went back to her room, lay on the bed, and called the system.
“What’s wrong with you? You’ve been hit?” The system’s voice came out slowly.
“Mm.” Shen You replied and said, “Not really. I just don’t understand why those people like to expose others’ scars so much.”
“Everyone has the bad habit of bullying the weak. You just have encountered more often than ordinary people,” the system commented simply.
Shen You suddenly felt a little tired. “After living for a lifetime, there are some things that I still can’t see through.”
“No one can truly see through everything and everyone,” the system said cautiously.
“You have the chance to live a second life, which is already very much luckier than many others,” the system reminded her again.
“You must remember your purpose for living a second life. Don’t be distracted by other things,” the system kindly reminded her.
“Perhaps, I should make my life more meaningful?” Shen You asked tentatively.
“This is your choice!” The system continued, not intending to go any further.
Shen You thought for a while and said, “Can the mark on my forehead be removed?”
The system made a strange sound and asked, “Do you think it’s bad?”
“No, I just don’t want to be different in the crowd,” Shen You told the truth.
“If you really want that, I can help you,” the system promised.
“I…” Shen You hesitated for a moment, “Let me think about it.”
She still felt that this mark that had followed her since she was young seemed to have some meaning.
However, this special mark had brought too many bad memories to her.
Shen You did not know whether she should leave the mark or not. She then fell asleep in a daze.
The next morning, when she arrived at school, she heard that Huo Xiao had already completed the suspension procedures and would not come back to school anymore.
Shen You did not expect that she would really miss the goodbye that she did not bid in time yesterday.
For the whole day, Shen You was a little muddle-headed and she did not know what she was doing.
It seemed that many things had become meaningless.
Zhu Ge looked at Shen You’s listless look and leaned against Zhao Nan’s desk. He said to Zhao Nan, who was staring at Shen You, “Don’t you think that she’s a little distracted?”
“It’s like… she’s broken up?” Zhu Ge voiced out his thoughts.
Sure enough, in the next second, Zhao Nan shot a glare at Zhu Ge.
Zhu Ge quickly moved away and patted his chest comforting himself.
Zhao Nan’s gaze shifted back to Shen You, and his gaze became a little gloomy.
Xie Xiao came to Shen You’s side and patted her shoulder. “What’s wrong with you? Feeling down?”
Shen You rubbed her shoulder and neck and thought for a moment. “I slept without closing the window last night and probably caught a cold.”
Xie Xiao looked at Shen You in disbelief and then said, “Don’t tell me… you’re missing Huo Xiao?”
Shen You looked up at Xie Xiao and touched her forehead. “You don’t have a fever, do you?”
Xie Xiao slapped Shen You’s hand away. “You can’t blame me for thinking too much!”
“Since Huo Xiao was gone, you’ve become such!” Xie Xiao voiced out the thoughts of most of the class.
Shen You sighed and said, “I really feel a little weak. This feeling is very uncomfortable.”
As Shen You said that, she had a blackout and fell on the desk.
Xie Xiao was shocked and cried out.
Zhao Nan, who had been staring at them the whole time, was the first to react. He rushed towards Shen You.
He shook Shen You and called her name. But Shen you still did not move.
Xie Xiao was so scared that she did not know what to do.
Zhao Nan made a prompt decision. He carried Shen You and ran in the direction of the infirmary.
The teacher in the infirmary was not around. Zhao Nan placed Shen You on the bed. When he rushed out to look for the teacher, he ran into Xie Xiao and Zhu Ge who were rushing over.
“Look after her! I’ll go get some help!” Zhao Nan said as he rushed to the teacher’s office.
Xie Xiao and Zhu Ge entered the infirmary together and saw the pale-faced Shen You lying quietly on the bed.
No matter how Xie Xiao called out to her, Shen You did not respond.
Xie Xiao was so anxious that she cried out loud.
Zhu Ge patted Xie Xiao’s shoulder and wanted to comfort her, but his eyes were fixed on Shen You’s face.
“It will be fine. Shen You will be fine,” Zhu Ge said as if he was comforting himself.
