Chapter 1111: Ghost Substitute, Turning Into the Substitute

In the luxurious private room, Jiang Duo, Xiao Ningjin and the others urged Jin Ming to not take it to heart. Although Jin Ming still hated Fang Yinglong, he pretended to be magnanimous and said that he was fine.

Jin Ming was fine, but Wei Panyang, Xiao Ningjin and the others were still a bit worried about Fang Yinglong. After all, he had exploded just now and started a fight. He went to the washroom and didn’t come back after so long. They looked at each other, and Wei Panyang couldn’t help but ask, “Why isn’t Yinglong back yet? Did something happen?”

Without waiting for the others to speak, Jin Ming snorted and said, “Given how strong his kick was, what can happen to him? Instead, I’m worried about other people.”

Jin Ming was really unhappy tonight. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have dared to talk back to Wei Panyang.

Wei Panyang glanced at Jin Ming. Seeing that his face was still a little red and swollen, he didn’t mind his retort. Compared with the others here, he had a better relationship with Fang Yinglong, so Wei Panyang couldn’t help but get up, ready to go find him.

The door was suddenly pushed open. Hearing the noise, Jiang Duo and the others, who were playing cards, looked up and saw that it was Shi Ran, who still had a pale face.

Perhaps he had wanted to see Shi Ran too much, but as soon as the latter arrived, Jiang Duo couldn’t calm down. He threw his cards on the table, got up, and walked over to welcome him with a smile. “Ah Ran, why aren’t you coming in?”

Shi Ran stood at the door without moving and stared inside. When he saw that there was no sign of Fang Yinglong, he heaved a sigh of relief. Sure enough, Young Master Wei hadn’t lied to him. He relaxed and strode in.

Jiang Duo warmly welcomed him to sit next to him. Xiao Ningjin, Xiong Luoying, and Chang Hao naturally knew Ah Duo’s motive. In fact, when they thought of Father Jiang’s phone call, Xiao Ningjin, Xiong Luoying and Chang Hao went from being completely skeptical of Chi Shuyan to half-believing her.

The three also hurriedly sat down beside them.

Wei Panyang and Jin Ming couldn’t help looking at how unusually enthusiastic Jiang Duo and the others were, but when they thought about how Shi Ran indeed usually got along well with Jiang Duo and the others, they didn’t say anything.

Wei Panyang took advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention to him to go find Fang Yinglong.

Jiang Duo looked at Wei Panyang’s back without saying anything before he focused all of his attention on Shi Ran. He wondered if he should force this kid to drink today so that the latter would tell him everything, or use some other method.

Jiang Duo was especially excited at the thought that Master Chi would praise him if he could get useful information out of Shi Ran.

Compared with Jiang Duo, the other three weren’t as excited and enthusiastic. Firstly, they were still half-skeptical. Secondly, even though their distrust of Chi Shuyan had decreased slightly because of the phone call from Father Jiang, they still had some doubts when they thought of Master Chi’s age.

Thirdly, they also doubted that ghosts existed in this world.

Jiang Duo didn’t care about their reactions as he poured wine for Shi Ran and put an arm around his shoulders.

Jiang Duo was about to ask him a few probing questions.

The door of the private room suddenly slammed against the wall with a loud bang.

This loud bang attracted the attention of the others. They looked up and saw Wei Panyang and Fang Yinglong standing at the door. Compared with Wei Panyang’s neat clothes, Fang Yinglong could be said to be in a sorry state at that moment.

It was as if a bucket of water had just been poured on his head. Not only was his hair wet, his clothes and pants were also wet. His face was also deathly pale. Upon closer look, his eyes seemed a little dull and even more sinister.

Even if Jin Ming cursed Fang Yinglong in his heart and gloated at his current appearance, he was still astonished.

Xiong Luoying couldn’t help but get up and ask, “Old Wei, what’s wrong with Old Ying? Didn’t he go to the washroom? He didn’t fall into a hole, did he?” His last sentence was a little teasing.

Jin Ming was petty, and Fang Yinglong’s drenched and sorry state still wasn’t enough for him to vent his anger. At that moment, he deliberately chimed in, “Young Master Wei, yes, Yinglong didn’t fall into a hole, did he? How can he be so unlucky? This can’t be retribution, right?”

The others could hear the sarcasm in Jin Ming’s voice, and were afraid that the two would start fighting again. Xiao Ningjin and Jiang Duo immediately changed the subject, but no one noticed how Shi Ran’s pupils contracted when he saw the wet Fang Yinglong. His face turned pale and his whole body suddenly trembled.

He stared intently over Fang Yinglong’s shoulder and didn’t see anything. Just as he heaved a sigh of relief, he saw Fang Yinglong suddenly turn his head and smile at him.

This smile was stiff and familiar no matter how one looked at it. His hands curled into fists and his fingers trembled.

He had vaguely seen that dirty thing before. It seemed to know that he could see it. Every time he stared over Fang Yinglong’s shoulder, it would smile malevolently at him. Then, it would see his terrified expression, and its smile would become even wider and stranger, just like how Fang Yinglong was smiling at him now.

He told himself that he was thinking too much. When he looked up, he saw that the strange smile on Fang Yinglong’s lips had yet to fade. His heart thumped and an inexplicable chill spread through his limbs and bones. The blood in his body stopped flowing and he couldn’t help but tremble as he clenched his fists tightly.

Jiang Duo and Xiao Ningjin, who were sitting close to Shi Ran, could clearly feel his body tremble. Jiang Duo didn’t think much of it, but Xiao Ningjin was sensitive and attentive. He subconsciously looked at Shi Ran, and was stunned when he saw his terrified appearance.

Wei Panyang patted Fang Yinglong’s shoulder and said, “It’s good that you’re fine. Okay, we’re all brothers, so don’t fall out over such a small matter. Go and apologize to Jin Ming! We’re still brothers!”

Xiong Luoying and the others hurriedly nodded.

Just as Wei Panyang was worried that Fang Yinglong wouldn’t give him face, Fang Yinglong grinned sinisterly. “Okay! I’ll apologize now!”

Shi Ran suddenly stood up and swayed a few times. His face was pale and his lips trembled as he said, “I… I… I still have something on. I’ll leave first!”
