Chapter 172 – Li XinYun didn’t think that what she said would really come true. (3)

She did not hide anything from Li XinYun. In fact, she even told her the entire story of how he ended up in the hospital, sparing no details. He wasn’t worth it for her to hide anything for him. After all, in her previous life, he was able to just stand by when his daughter was killed and still kept on spoiling Jiang YaGe rotten.

She couldn’t summon up a shred of compassion when she recalled all those. This lifetime, however, Li XinYun, without experiencing all those, might not hate Li WangJin as much as she did.

Li XinYun’s lips moved. She felt that everything was so ludicrous. Everything about her father’s life had turned into big joke. She couldn’t say that she had a lot of compassion for him, though. Li WangJin’s behaviors in the last few months had already destroyed all the feelings that she had for him in the past.

She finally said after a little while. “Let me go check on him and maybe hire someone to look after him.”

That was the best that she could do. She didn’t want to be the one to take care of him. If it was her mother who was hospitalized, she would for sure stay there 24/7. When it came to Li WangJin, she was being nice just to hire someone to look after him.

Pfft, pfft, pfft. How could she say that about her own mother? Of course her mother would live long and remain healthy.

As though she had completed with her assignment, she brought with her some fruits, hire a care-giver and went to visit her own father after Li WangJin was brought to a hospital in City S.

She was very nonchalant after the visit.

“You didn’t have any conflict with him, did you?” asked Fang JunRong.

Li XinYun shook her head. “No. He values his life a lot so he really avoiding getting upset. Even though he is exhibiting early symptoms of a stroke, it isn’t that bad. The doctor said if he takes care of himself, his prognosis isn’t bad. So he looked calm.” He must remain calm. This was not the kind of illness that one could get upset over.

What she didn’t say was that Li WangJin had repeatedly expressed his regrets in front of him. He regretted that he had made a mistaken in reading people and yelled at her over Jiang YaGe. And that he finally learned that who truly cared about him.

Unfortunately, Li XinYun was not moved. At the end of the day, her father still loved himself the most. Would he have regretted had he not found out that Jiang YaGe’s mother hand lied to him all these years? She didn’t think so.

His belated apology seemed particularly fake in her eyes.

He even had a lawyer came and created a will right in front of her and expressed that he’d leave her with all of his assets and asked her to give him another chance.

Nevertheless, she felt that he was merely doing that to convince her. A will was, after all, something that could be changed on a whim. It would have appeared much more genuine had he transferred over his assets right now.

Not that Li XinYun really cared that much about who he was going to leave all of his assets too. That had nothing to do with her. She decided that there was no need to mention those to her mother.

Something occurred to her all of a sudden. “Speaking of, I saw Jiang YaGe and Li ShiZe heading toward the hospital on my way out.

“Does Li ShiZe hate him that much? Was his intention to aggravate him on purpose by bringing Jiang YaGe with him?” said Li XinYun with a serious look on her.

Fang JunRong’s lips pursed a little and there was a hint of sarcasm in her almost undetectable smile. “Perhaps his intention was hoping that the two of them will make up.”

After all, Jiang YaGe was like an angel in the eyes of her barbeque pork son. All he needed to do was to straighten things out some and Li WangJin would for sure forgive her about everything that had happened and treat her like his real daughter again.

Li XinYun couldn’t help but said, “Seriously? I think more likely he’d hasten dad’s death.”

She even reminded them before she took off but Li ShiZe just brushed it off as Li XinYun being petty and could not bear if anything good was to happen to Jiang YaGe. He further said that he was sure their father would not be like her and their mother.

That was so ridiculous. Her brother had acted like someone with a curse placed on him ever since he had met Jiang YaGe. She had never pegged him as the type who’d lose his mind when he was in love.

Jiang YaGe, at the same time, also weakly expressed that her mother had her reasons for doing that and that she was there to clear up the misunderstanding. Li XinYun was so disgusted by her that she could puke right then and there.

Li XinYun didn’t mean what she said but what she said had, indeed, came true.
