Chapter 196 – “Be careful next time.” (3)
It wasn’t long after Manager Leng’s introduction did Fang JunRong spot the Duchess. The Duchess was already 51 years old this year but, with good upkeep, she looked to be in her thirties. Her skin was fair with a healthy red glow. She was languid and sexy and her wavy long hair drew a lot of eyeballs. Her entire person was like a ripe peach. Her body, wrapped in her gown, was shapely. And her bodyguards were all tall and broad shoulders. It was obvious that she was one who enjoyed herself and would not compromise on anything.
People’s opinions on her varied, especially when it came to her relationships. Many said that she was a player and not faithful. Truth be told, when it came to relationships, as long as it was consensual between everyone involved and no innocents were hurt, they were all personal and no outsiders had the right to question it.
Duchess Capet, too, had noticed Fang JunRong. Then, spotted Jiang DeXian from afar, there was a smile in the way she was looking at Fang JunRong. She had obviously considered Fang JunRong as someone just like herself.
Fang JunRong’s eyelids twitched and she saw Duchess Capet walking toward her elegantly.
“Hi, Fang.”
Fang JunRong, too, chatting with her in fluent foreign tongue. She didn’t come across as being antagonizing and she was friendly. Naturally, Fang JunRong responded with the same attitude.
“Hi, Duchess Capet. You are younger and prettier than I had imagined.”
Duchess Capet seemed very happy with the compliment from a pretty woman. There seemed to be light in her eyes when she smiled. “
“Just call me Mattia.”
“Mattia,” said Fang JunRong.
Neither one of them has an awkward personality and both of them were very knowledgeable. As such, there was no awkward silence when the two of them chatted. Fang JunRong noticed that Duchess Capet would look at her hair from time to time as they chatted.
What about her hair?
She brought that up to Duchess Capet.
Duchess Capet smiled and said, “Nothing. Your hair looks so nice. It looks so silky.”
She had lowered her voice and there was curiosity in her eyes along with naiveness that could only belong to a young girl. “Are there some traditional method that the Chinese use to maintain their hair?”
That was the perfect opportunity to advertise her products.
Fang JunRong said casually, “Yes, there is a formula. I’ve tried it myself and it works quite well. It will hit the market in the next few months.”
Duchess Capet appeared to be very interested.
“But I don’t see why you would need that. Your hair is gorgeous and beautiful like the sun.”
Duchess Capet wasn’t someone good at hiding her emotions and there was embarrassment on her look.
What was wrong with her hair? Fang JunRong certainly couldn’t tell that anything was wrong.
She could, however, tell that Duchess Capet didn’t want to talk about it so she switched the subject to skin care. Duchess Capet was very opinionated when it came to that. She dissed all of the major cosmetic brands.
Fang JunRong hadn’t been using a lot of skincare product as of late. The skincare products on the market were not even as good as the spring water from her dimension.
The time that Duchess Capet had spent in China, she had rarely run into anyone that she could have a good conversation with. She was very energetic and, consequently, when she was walking onto the stage, she accidentally stepped on the hem of her gown.
Fang JunRong reacted quickly and grabbed ahold of her. Duchess Capet, on the other hand, waved her arms in the air trying to grab onto something and finally she grabbed onto her own hair.
With a tug, her hair came falling off.
To be precise, it was her wig that was pulled off. Exposed from underneath it was the shriveled up, yellow, and malnutrition hair. Her very few hairs stuck pitifully on her scalp.
The appearance of this mature, beautiful woman whose age was a misery suddenly went down by 40 points.
That was… very awkward.
Duchess Capet too, was stunned motionless. She stared at the wig in her hand, dazed.
Fang JunRong quickly took the wig from her and put it back on her in lighting speed. She then said in a very casual, “You must be careful when you walk.”
