Chapter 240: Better Car
Lou Yuna said disdainfully, “Fang Xinxin, your second sister is driving a Ferrari. I’m afraid you won’t be able to ride in a car this good for the rest of your life.”
Fang Xinxin smiled coldly. “Is that so? I take Bai Qinghao’s car pretty often. Could it be that his car isn’t as good as my second sister’s?”
“Tsk! Quit talking big.” Lou Yuna did not take her words seriously. Bai Qinghao owned a lot of cars and all of them were much more extravagant than Fang Manxue’s. She did not believe Fang Xinxin would have ever ridden in his car.
“All right, why are you bringing Bai Qinghao up all of a sudden? If you don’t wish to take my car, forget it.” Fang Manxue was deeply afraid that she would be exposed as a fake fiancée any second. She quickly stepped on the gas pedal and drove off.
Did Fang Xinxin think she really wanted to give her a ride? She simply wanted to make her walk less to slow down her weight loss.
Since Fang Manxue drove slowly while Fang Xinxin jogged rather quickly, they both arrived at the school at the same time.
Jing Hua University was the best university in the entire country. It was located in the suburbs of the city and had a long, glorious history. All the students who were eligible to study here were outstanding individuals.
The school was built on a mountain slope and was surrounded by all sorts of greenery. In the middle of the school field, there was a large patch of grass. During breaks, most of the students enjoyed sitting on the grass to read. They would feel very relaxed just by laying back and staring up at the sky.
The school buildings were surrounded by side walks and patches of greenery. Students stepped in and out of the area throughout the day and it further highlighted the rich school culture here.
Fang Manxue parked her car in the school parking lot and got out of the car along with Lou Yuna.
A bright red Ferrari was extremely eye-catching. Given that two beautiful young ladies were alighting from it, it was natural that they caught a lot of attention.
Fang Manxue’s appearance superseded that of Lou Yuna’s. As she alighted, all the students passing by immediately guessed that Fang Manxue was from a wealthy family.
“Wah, quickly look! It’s Fang Manxue, the famous beauty of our school!” A student pointed at Fang Manxue with a shining gaze. “If I could get a date with her, life would be so much cooler!”
“You want to get a date with her? You better wait for your next lifetime. Haven’t you heard? She is the great Bai Qinghao’s fiancée!” The student next to him mocked him for being so ill-informed. “Still, looking at Bai Qinghao’s fiancée is a tonic for our eyes.”
The passing students, no matter whether they were boys or girls, all watched Fang Manxue with admiring eyes. The girls were really envious of her for having a handsome and outstanding husband like Bai Qinghao.
Fang Manxue had grown used to enjoying this glory.
Fang Xinxin passed by them with her backpack. It was not that she could not hear their discussions, but that she had already become accustomed to hearing it.
In the past, she used to deeply admire Fang Manxue. She had felt that only a beautiful and generous woman like her second sister was suitable to stand next to Bai Qinghao.
At the time, her inferiority complex had been at its lowest. She frequently wondered about the reason for her being ugly and fat while her sister was like a fairy despite having the same father and mother.
It turned out that her weight and appearance was harmed by her second sister secretly.
Fang Manxue had spiked her food with drugs that would cause her to gain weight. She had also messed with her skincare products.
It had been quite some time since her second sister did this.
Fang Xinxin had already lost fifteen kilograms, but her skin had suffered from acne for too long and was taking a long time to recover.
A male student stood before Fang Xinxin to block her path. “Aiyo, Fang Xinxin. What did you run for? Look at your sweaty appearance. It looks as though you were dragged out from a pool. Don’t tell me you ran here all the way from home?”
