Rebirth: The Villainous Young Master Doesn't Want to Follow the Script

Chapter 167: 167

Chapter 167: 167

As part of their proper noble etiquette, eeryone refrained from speaking, and only the sound of utensils can be heard while the servants served their masters. The servants waited on standby on the other side, prepared to assist their masters if needed.

*CLANG!

The atmosphere turned tense as a certain servant "accidentally" spilled some hot drink into the hands of the 15-year-old young master who was well known for his bad temper and constantly throwing a tantrum whenever something displeases him.

The said servant immediately went to her knees and bowed down as she keeps on asking for forgiveness that makes the other servants who were within dining hall felt pity for their fellow servants but others who snickered around because of her carelessness.

No one dared to make a noise or even gossip around as they waited for what would happen, especially to the other family members who were at the dining table and even though they were eating quietly but all of them are waiting for the certain 15-year-old on how to react.

'What an act? Does this sl*t of a servant think I won't be able to notice what she did? She wants to play? Then, let's see on how you would last!'

The 15-year-old young master looked down at the servant, who keeps on begging on her knees and asking for forgiveness. From other's perspective, the servant looks truly pitiful with her teary eyes while begging in front of him and that would make others wants to comfort the said pitiful girl while him receiving a disgusted look as if it's his fault, but they couldn't say that out loud in fear for his wrath.

'What a bunch of hypocrites! Tsk!'

But, as an experience world-hopper for millennium years, he could tell that this "pitiful" servant did that purposely so that he can lose his temper in front of his so-called family (he refused to call them that because they don't deserve it after what they had done to him in his first life), he saw how this ungrateful servant smirks under that "pitiful" appearance of hers and if this sl*t of a servant thinks he would go along with her plans then, sorry but he would need to do some "cleaning" first.

"What's your name?"

From his stoic expression to his impassive voice, the people inside the dining hall almost gasped because of how unusual it was for him to act serene yet aloof at the same time. Also, the servants who were present, especially his so-called family members, noticed that something had changed in him as they couldn't understand what or why.

The "pitiful" servant who heard the 15-year-old young master ask her a question; she continued her "pitiful" act as she responded politely.

"T-this… l-lowly maid's… n-name is Nariana."

'Nariana? Hmmm…. Ah, right? I remember now.'

He nodded as if it was nothing and he knew that the surrounding people were still watching him for what he would do next and just thinking about it made him click his tongue mentally, but his expression was still stoic as ever.

"Nariana… okay. I'll ask you one last question. Where is your loyalty lies?"

That question coming from the young master baffled the people inside the dining hall, and they didn't know why he asked that kind of question out of nowhere.

However, there is one person within the dining hall that seems to take an interest in this 15-year-old young master.

'So, little three noticed something about that sl*t of a woman, eh? How come?'

The person who has those thoughts is none other than the eldest young master of the Marquis Chevalier household and the heir apparent to the Marquis title.

As the eldest and heir apparent, he was also responsible if there were disputes or problems within the manor if the Marquis was not present at the moment but right now, their father is here and just casually eating his meal, but the eldest young master knew their father was also looking forward to what their little three would do about this situation.

'Let's see how you would resolve this matter…'

......

............…..

"Nariana… okay. I'll ask you one last question. Where is your loyalty lies?"

The 15-year-old young master asked a harmless question, but the "pitiful" servant felt like a cold bucket of water had poured into her system. She understood the underlying meaning of the question despite being a maid and a commoner. She wasn't that stupid.

She attempted to control herself in front of them, especially in front of this 15-year-old young master who was rumored to be an uneducated and bad-tempered brat that would be considered a disgrace to this household.

"This lowly maid's loyalty is within the Marquis Chevalier Household, as this lowly maid is grateful for the Marquis Chevalier for having this lowly maid to be accepted here to have a job."

Her "pitiful" act suddenly change into that gratefulness as she addressed her line without a shame and that makes the stoic 15-year-old young master too smiled at her innocently but the servant who was the receiving end of that smile felt something isn't right.

'Was this the bad-tempered third young master of the Marquis Chevalier household from the rumors? I have a bad feeling about this!'

Before she could speak, the 15-year-old young master beat her to it.

"Really? That's nice of you to be grateful, I mean it. G.R.A.T.E.F.U.L. What a pleasant word to hear it, right? ~~~"

His unusual impassive tone change into somewhat a teasing tone that makes her trembled in fear because by only stating those words alone, even without direct meaning to it but for those people who are intelligent enough can catch up on what the 15-year-old young master was talking about.

The other servants around them couldn't make a noise or even move from where they stood and only watched the scene unfold in front of them.

They didn't get the meaning behind those words that came from the 15-year-old young master as most of the servants are commoner and there were others who came from a fallen nobility or had at least the educated one, including the "pitiful" servant who right now, is the center of this situation.

He, on the other hand, didn't know why he needed to deal with these kinds of bullsh*t, and it seemed like this so-called family of his wouldn't bother to even do anything about this matter.
