Rebirth: The Villainous Young Master Doesn't Want to Follow the Script

Chapter 181: 181

Chapter 181: 181

From the system archive, Thesus Yor was an orphaned teenage boy who lost his parents in a monster attack in their village, and he is the only one who survived that catastrophe.

With nothing left, he was about to end his own life when Rheina's father, the previous Clandestine Patriarch, passed by at that place and saw him. The Clandestine Patriarch took an interest in him because of how his eyes were so dull but still determined to kill himself as if it was nothing.

Because of that, he decided to take Thesus Yor under his wing and brought him back to the Clandestine clan to train him. Not only that, but the previous Clandestine Patriarch also trained Thesus Yor to become the right-hand man for Rheina, the clan's heiress and the next Headmaster of Clandestine clan and the next Leader of the Arcanum De Fleur.

When Eclipse was browsing the information about Rheina Clandestine and her connections with other people around her, this name suddenly popped out in the system archive, and he read it.

In the archive, Thesus is described as someone who is faithfully loyal to the Clandestine clan, especially to the previous headmaster who took him and saved him from his misery. Because of that, he was grateful and swore to be loyal to the Clandestine clan for the rest of his life.

'Grateful? Really? Do these people have no shame in using that term repeatedly? Tsk!'

Eclipse; "Let me guess once again. That right-hand man of yours also persuaded you to accept whatever the Crown Prince presented to you, just to get that item you're desperate to get hold of, right?"

However, Rheina's "trusted" right-hand man, Thesus Yor, wasn't an orphan at all.

His records about his parents dying in a monster attack weren't true because he wasn't from that village to begin with.

Eclipse saw how the woman smiled bitterly because of his words; "So, you knew about this as well. I won't be surprised if you know his background as well or where he came from."

She paused for a second as she continued; "Honestly speaking, even though that guy did a great job as my right-hand man and proved his loyalty to my clan while knowing who truly he was. However, I couldn't help but be powerless for a moment since that he had a backing that I couldn't do anything as a Headmaster."

He crossed his arms around his chest, laid his back, and frowned; "I don't really get why you still have him around you, knowing who truly he was and who he worked for. From what I know, the Clandestine clan had their own rules and for those labelled as traitors to your clan, a punishment should be enacted and from what I know, the Clandestine clan has the Scarlet Hall, right?"

'I know the phrase "keep your enemies closer" part, but I had the feeling that there is something missing in this situation.'

He immediately pulled out the system interface and looked through the information once more.

As he read further, he raised an eyebrow at the sentence he had missed reading.

"Is there a reason you're not able to expose that traitor? Was it because…. The Clandestine clan's Council of Elders has backed him up? The majority of them sided with that traitor rather than with you, the legitimate heiress and the headmaster of the clan?"

'So, a conspiracy already happened inside the Clandestine clan, eh? No wonder that in the previous timeline, Rheina's sudden death was just a covered-up incident from the whole truth.'

Rheina, on the other hand, felt conflicted because of the words coming from this young man as if he could see through everything around him, which made her feel anxious and couldn't help but be at least wary of him.

Sure, they had a temporary alliance with one another, but still… as an assassin with experience, she needed to put her guard up and never let this young child take control of her.

"Don't think of anything stupid, Rheina. What I want from you is an alliance alone and nothing else. I couldn't offer you anything but the information that you needed."

Rheina was startled by his words and frowned; "Sir Eclipse, you couldn't blame me for overthinking, since you know a lot of things that ordinary teenagers shouldn't know. Sure, you're a noble child and could get any information that you want by just using your household's name—"

Her sentences were cut off when Eclipse snapped back at him; "DON'T YOU DARE LIMP ME WITH THOSE HYPOCRITES! Me, using the Chevalier's name to get this so-called information? Are you out of your mind? I refuse to be on the same page with those people who know nothing but only place their oh-so-righteous name of the Chevaliers! Tsk!"

The assassin was stunned by the sudden outburst coming from this young man, and she immediately bowed her head because she knew she had spoken too rashly which made this young child refute back.

'This child truly despises his family's household name to the point he even ordered me to call him by the name he had chosen for himself, or much rather…. His real name before he became Ezekiel Zephyr Chevalier…'

Eclipse….

The assassin knew that there wasn't any record of the third young master's previous name before someone gave him a new one. This was the first time she heard some information about him before he became the well-known third young master of this household.

"I-I apologize—"

She stopped as her sentence cut off once more and Eclipse just waved his hand and snickered; "No need for you to feel apologetic if you didn't mean to. Okay, back to the topic. I think before we proceed, we need to clean up some mess. What do you think?"

The sudden diversion of the topic had made Rheina finally focus on the matters on hand, and she composed herself as she spoke; "May I know what you had on mind, Sir Eclipse?"

"How about… we deal first about that so-called right-hand man of yours? What do you think?"
