Chapter 97: Valley of the Deep

Chapter 97: Valley of the Deep

********

LOCATION: VALLEY OF THE DEEP, SOUTHEASTERN PART OF CLIFFTON EMPIRE

[DEMONIC AUTHORITY: HELLPHASTUS AURA OF DOMAIN]

As Eclipse saw that form for countless of times already and for him to saw it once more, it feels like a norm for him to see Arico's form like that.

Within the Main House System, whenever they saw Arico in that form, most of them are avoiding him in fear of his wrath and not only that, in this form, Arico could perform his execution within those criminal agents and world-hoppers that had been caught violating the laws.

'Aside from his demonic-like appearance and cold-blooded nature, there is another reason why most of the residence within the Main House System tended to avoid him.'

Eclipse thought as he looked straight into the Slayer's eyes.

[THE SEEKER OF ARLAN]

From that time when he was still a novice world-hopper, he had heard about [The Seeker of Arlan] amongst his fellow residence within the Main House.

'At first, curiosity kicks within me and ask those seniors of mine about it but the response that I got from that time was nothing but some nonsense that spout through their mouths.'

Those seniors only gave Eclipse a little vague warning about Arico's true nature of power and from what he remembered from that time was…

< ….. "Just a warning. Simple and nothing else. Don't look into his eyes whenever Senior Arico activated his primary ability." ….. >

At that time, even though Eclipse was a novice world-hopper that time, he wasn't a complete fool just to fall for those words that easily.

Before he became a world-hopper, he was a noble back in his original life, and he had a fare share of those kinds of rumors that mostly circulated within the noble society.

'Since I am a victim of those so-called baseless rumors that it became true because of those people who slandered and pinned those false accusations on my head that I didn't commit.'

Right now, Arico's transformation had completed, and the world-hopper didn't flinch upon seeing it again since he was used to it.

'If others were to saw this, especially in this worldline, there would be no doubt that Arico would be persecuted immediately because of his demonic-like appearance.'

Well, in most cases within the western fantasy worldlines that he encountered, their number one enemy would be the demons, black wizards and anything related to any demonic beings.

'Yeah, right. Talk about cliché moments from here and there. Haist! Well, what can I do if those worldlines had already arrange like that.'

< ….. "I still don't get it that out of all the residence within the Main House System, aside from the Lord God and his companion, you're the third one who could resist this eye of mine." ... >

Eclipse snapped from his thoughts when he heard Arico speaks, and his voice was completely different compared to the ones that Eclipse usually heard from him.

Unlike his usual monotone voice, right now, Arico's voice is now hoarse and firm like a timber and if others were to hear this, they won't be able to handle such pressure.

'Don't ask me as I don't know as well.'

Eclipse thought as he sighed and then looked at Arico's newly transformed appearance.

"You know, if someone from this worldline had seen you like that, they would mistaken you as the newly risen Demon King or something since that appearance alone is most likely similar to the Demon King from the ancient history of this world."

Arico, on the other hand, just shrugged off his shoulders and said nonchalantly;

< ….. "I know that as well before the system interface went to shut down three years ago as I have read that information before the system error happened..." ... >

He paused for a moment and Eclipse didn't interrupt him as he waited for the Slayer Agent to continue since the world-hopper felt that Arico had something to add.

After a minute had passed, Arico took a deep breath as he continued;

< ….. "However, in regard to this new continent and the empire, there wasn't any record about it within the world plot of [Mystique Enchantress]. Do you think there's some mistake here?" …. >

Eclipse shook off his head to disagree; "No. That would be impossible. It's not likely there wasn't any record about the other continents and empires but more likely, we haven't found information about them before the system interface shuts down three years ago."

As much as he wanted to ransack his own brain to figure out everything, but even he couldn't answer Arico's question.

'If only the system interface haven't shut down and it's been three years since that day! How come that our system interface haven't been resolved?!'

He thought as he felt frustrated, but Eclipse had a doubt that even though the system interface had been resolved and they gain access within the System Archive once again, there might not be any information regarding the other continents and empires within this worldline.

After all, the System Archive is just a small library of knowledge that came from the Origin Archive.

'Only within the Origin Archive that most of the knowledge within the vast universe could have the complete information of most of the worldlines that stored within there.'

Eclipse shook off his head as he didn't want to dwell upon any further as he focused on the commission.

'Let's just focus first on this commission and after completing this mission, find the client and ask for more details on how he knows about this item.'

But first things first, Eclipse needs to confirm the item first if this is the [Ring of Razilla] that he knew.

With that thought, Eclipse closed his eyes and raise his hand forward on the air and sparks of light manifest through his hand and after that, a fine blade appeared through the air and took its hilt as he swing the blades on the air that creates the sudden wind pressure around him.

After that, he opened his eyes as he said; "Now, let's get going then and finish this job."

With that, both of them move in a high speed as they entered the Valley of the Deep and from that moment on, their surroundings are now shrouded in darkness as the sun no longer reaches them and their only companion was none other than the Valley's darkness itself.

'This is the perfect place to train and test some of the skills that I have within my arsenal.'

With that in mind, Eclipse moves forward and both of them have now entered the said valley.

...…..

...

......…

*SWING!

*SWOOSH!

*CLANG!

Both of them had entered the innermost part of the Valley of the Deep and as they went further, countless monsters from the valley are now appearing on their way and both of them just slaughtered those monsters that gets on their way.

Arico, with his demonic appearance and authority, he already set up his own power domain to subdue those monsters around him and slaughtered them without mercy.

Although the place is shrouded in darkness, Eclipse could smell the stench of blood coming from those monsters that they had slayed on their way.

Since he was too lazy to activate his ability and authority as those monsters that keeps on ambushing them are nothing but some low-class monsters, the world-hopper could just kill them with just a mere blade.

'My strength right now is almost at its peak. Thanks to the training back at Stellarus Empire with Rheina and her trusted people within the Arcanum De Fleur. It seems like, I owed them big time in this current timeline, especially to Rheina Clandestine.'

Although both parties had a mutual agreement, or much preferably, had an alliance with one another.

Both of them benefited from one another with whatever they needed with each other, but the world-hopper could tell that in this mutual agreement, Eclipse owed Rheina a lot.

As much as Eclipse didn't want to be indebted to her but still at the end, Rheina helped him out and with the [token] within his hands, the world-hopper couldn't help but feel excited of what new life awaits him within the new continent and the empire.

He snapped from his thoughts as he noticed that more and more monsters are appearing within their vicinity and the world-hopper needs to find that item as soon as possible.

"Arico, we should get moving. These monsters are delaying us from finding that commission item."

The Slayer Agent heard what Eclipse stated and then slaughtered one of the monsters that attacked him from behind and said; < ... "How are we supposed to find that commission item when there was nothing on the pamphlet that describes the item? Don't tell me, are we going to looked at every corner within this vast valley?!" ….. >

Arico's voice sound disappointed and annoyed at the same time because in the commission pamphlet that he took on the commission board, there is no detailed explanation about the item and not only that, even the receptionist from the guild doesn't have an idea as well.

If other adventurers were the ones who took up this commission, then, they would be insane for sure because of the incomplete information regarding this commission.

But that was not the case for Eclipse.
