Chapter 1244 Would Not Intervene
She never checked if she had any fellow townsmen in the school.
Because Qiao Nan was upright and shared the information with the president without any hidden agenda, he abandoned his plan right away and looked for another company to do his internship. He did not want to end up falling between two stools, not being able to find employment and fumbled the ball with his internship.
Perhaps some students would gossip that the president must have gotten an important name list from Qiao Nan and that he could benefit from the name list or help other people with it.
But the president would tell them they were stupid fools.
Since Senior Gao knew Vice President Qiao, he accepted and employed the people that Vice President Qiao recommended to him. However, he did not know Senior Gao. If not for Qiao Nan, who introduced the new English club to Senior Gao, he would not have the chance to know Senior Gao Yan.
He had just entered college when Senior Gao Yan graduated and started his own business.
He did know him at all. How could he be so shameless to introduce people to him? He would rather be down-to-earth and make plans for his future instead of offending people that he could not afford to offend.
The president knew that Gao Yan had just started his company. The first year was very crucial to the company, and he would not allow any mistakes to happen. Therefore, he would not accept interns who were irresponsible. He would only accept trustworthy and experienced workers.
Initially, his company was willing to take in interns from the school, but some of the students looked down on the company as it was just a start-up company. Now that the company was on its tracks, even if the students wanted to do their internships at the company, Senior Gao might not welcome them.
Timing was very important. Once they missed the timing, they could only blame themselves for being unlucky.
The president was smart. He knew Qiao Nan’s temper and knew that he should not interfere with the selection of the next vice president. He also did not tell anyone of the openings in Gao Yan’s company. It was as if Qiao Nan never told him this piece of information at all.
Qiao Nan had worked with the president for more than a year. Although he was not very smart, he had some wits about him. This was why Qiao Nan dared to reveal the information about Gao Yan’s company to the president.
Luckily, the outcome was as expected and satisfactory. They did not let each other down. They could still be classmates and fellow committee members. When they saw each other in the future, they could exchange warm greetings, asking how the other party was doing.
The school had just reopened. The meeting ended after they went through some details about the club.
As the vice president, there was no need for Qiao Nan to be responsible for the recruitment of new students who reported to the school this year. Other committee members could be in charge. The president and Qiao Nan were only responsible for making decisions and setting rules and the overall direction for the events. They also needed to seek the school’s approval for organizing events in school.
After they had settled the bigger issues, the committee members would be responsible for the operations and execution. Everyone was assigned different tasks, thus increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
As Qiao Nan had to go for the meeting, she was later than usual when she reached the Zhai family’s residence.
Luckily, the triplets had yet to lose their temper. When Qiao Nan entered the house, San Bao, who wore a red undergarment walked toward her like a duck, swaying from side to side. She gripped Qiao Nan’s calf, refusing to let go. Her eyes had turned red, and she pouted her lips, expressing her displeasure.
Qiao Nan felt happy that an adorable baby was clinging to her. Although the weather was hot, she did not mind it at all. However, she had just returned from school and had to wash her hands before she could carry them.
Qiao Nan tousled San Bao’s smooth hair. “San Bao, be good. Let mama washes my hands before I stay by your side while you have your meals. Is that alright?”
“No... no.” San Bao was a tough nut to crack. “Carry, carry.”
Qiao Nan smiled bitterly. She placed her hands on San Bao’s chubby bottom. She did not manage to carry her in her first try. She straightened her back in her second try and finally brought her to her arms. “San Bao, you are my beloved daughter. With you around, I won’t be cold in the winter.”
Although Brother Zhai was not with her, with the triplets around, she did not need to worry about being cold even in the harshest winter. The triplets were like three hot stoves.
“Em... em.” San Bao smiled. She nodded her fair chubby face. She then leaned in her mama’s embrace, pasting her face to her mama’s face.
Qiao Nan wanted to do that very much, but she could not. “San Bao, be good. I will wash my hands and face. Your brothers will play with you in the meantime.” Qiao Nan put San Bao beside Da Bao and Er Bao, giving them each a kiss on the head before she rushed to the restroom to wash her hands.
Da Bao and Er Bao each sat on one side of their sister. They knew that their sister wanted to chase after their mother. Da Bao reached out his hands to hug San Bao, telling her that he would accompany her and their mama would be back very soon.
Er Bao was more straightforward. He grabbed San Bao’s undergarment, passing his toy to her. He was telling her to play with the toy. Their mama would return in a minute.
San Bao could not leave her seat to chase after Qiao Nan with her brothers guarding her from both sides.
“Hahaha.” Miao Jing was thrilled. “Da Bao and Er Bao have grown up. You can help your mom to look after your younger sister and play with her. We, the elders, can have an easier time in the future.”
San Bao was impatient and stubborn. She would not listen to other people.
But she would behave herself when she was with her elder brothers. Other people might not be able to make San Bao listen to them, but she would accede to Da Bao’s and Er Bao’s requests. Even if she was unwilling in the beginning, she would give in to them in the end.
Of course, Da Bao and Er Bao loved their younger sister very much.
Other than the occasions where San Bao was angry and they had to stop her from running about, Da Bao and Er Bao loved San Bao more than anyone. They would guard her fiercely.
In particular, when San Bao learned how to walk, whenever she made any movements and was about to take small steps, Da Bao and Er Bao would drop the toys that they had with them unknowingly and fixed their round and big eyes on San Bao. They were worried that San Bao would fall and hurt herself without the auntie knowing.
“Young madam, the dishes are warm. You can have them now.” Now that the triplets could take small steps, they had to be supervised constantly by adults. In fact, the adults did not dare to leave them unattended since the triplets started to crawl and learn to walk.
At times, they had been keeping a close watch on the triplets. But the triplets, when mischievous, would crawl to the corners in the blink of an eye, and the adults might not be able to find them right away.
