Chapter 1388 Liked Auntie Bes

Zhai Hua patted the seat next to her. “Have a seat over here. You graduated from college today. Congratulations. Will you be angry that I didn’t go?” Since she was at home, Zhai Hua wanted to attend Qiao Nan’s graduation ceremony. It was such an important occasion for her.

Actually, the reason why Zhai Hua was at the Zhai Sheng’s residence instead of the army was that, like Zhai Sheng, she took time off to attend Qiao Nan’s graduation ceremony. This was a very meaningful occasion.

Everyone around Qiao Nan had the tacit understanding not to mention the Qiao family at such an important day.

Since the Qiao family could not be there and be happy for her like what elders would, the Zhai family must make sure that they could be present to congratulate Qiao Nan. That was why Zhai Hua returned to the Zhai family’s residence one day earlier than Zhai Sheng.

However, when she was about to leave in the morning, Tian Dong, who was jealous, made a phone call to his office, postponing the meeting in the morning to one hour later. The boss who was never late said that he was unwell and would reach the office later than usual.

Tian Dong was unwell and left later than usual for the office. As his wife, Zhai Hua had to accompany him and she could only leave the house about an hour later.

If Zhai Hua went to Peking University, it would be meaningless as the ceremony would be almost over.

True enough, minutes after she brought her son to her parental family and took a seat on the chair, she saw Zhai Sheng coming back with Qiao Nan. The three triplets kept chatting and hovered around Qiao Nan like three little sparrows. The family of five seemed to be in high spirits.

“Not at all.” Her husband and her children were with her on such an important occasion. To her, all her loved ones were already with her. There was no reason for her to be angry. “By the way, how is my master feeling today?”

Many people wanted to attend Qiao Nan’s graduation ceremony, and Lin Yuankang was one of them.

It had been ten years since Lin Yuankang took Qiao Nan in as his disciple. Lin Yuankang watched Qiao Nan as she grew up from a young and inexperienced young lady to a married lady and a mother of three. Her triplets were old enough to run around. Ten years had passed, Lin Yuankang was getting on in years and he was not as healthy as before.

Apart from Lin Yuankang, Old Master Zhai would need to visit the hospital occasionally to do checkups and scans. He would feel uncomfortable all over his body and it would also affect his sleep.

The elderly would not sleep as much as the youngsters. If they could not sleep well because of illnesses, they would feel lethargic for the entire day.

The two elders planned to attend Qiao Nan’s graduation ceremony today but were dissuaded by Qiao Nan. She was indeed happy if they could attend her graduation ceremony, but she would be elated if they were able to attend any of the triplets’ graduation ceremony.

Miao Jing came out with a few cups of fresh fruit juices. “Don’t worry. Elder Lin is doing well. I think the foot bath recently has been useful. Elder Lin was able to have a good sleep yesterday. He must have woken up not long ago. In a while, he would come over to play with the three children even without you looking for him.”

“Oh, that is great.” Qiao Nan felt assured and heaved a sigh of relief after knowing that Elder Lin was feeling better today.

Tian Yu blinked as he stared at the brightly colored fresh fruit juices. His mouth moved as if he was drinking the juices. He was so thirsty that he was close to drooling.

Although Tian Yu could not wait to drink fruit juices, he knew that his auntie was in a conversation and was doing work. He should not interrupt her. If he wanted to drink fruit juices, he must wait.

Qiao Nan gave Tian Yu a kiss on his little cheeks. “Xiao Bao has such a good temper.” Qiao Nan took the fruit juice and fed Tian Yu slowly. Tian Yu smiled happily as he finally had the juices that he had been longing for. His eyes turned into crescent moon-like shapes. He made loud sounds as he drank the juices.

“This...” Zhai Hua felt like saying that it was because of her that Tian Yu was young but patient. But when she looked at her son who had a strong resemblance to her husband, she felt guilty and swallowed her words.

Among the triplets, Da Bao was calm and steady, Er Bao was cheeky and full of mischief, and San Bao was impatient. Regardless of whether it was Da Bao, Er Bao, or San Bao, they were bustling and energetic. This was a common trait in the Zhai family.

Zhai Hua was part of the Zhai family, but she did not have a good temper since a young age.

On the contrary, although Tian Dong was a boy, he was fair and mild-tempered. He would stay quietly with the elders and watch as his peers played and had fun. He would not join in the fun or be up to mischief. Even when there was delicious food, and all the children crowded around to snatch them, Tian Dong maintained his calm and nonchalant composure as his peers snatched all the food away. He would stand coolly next to the elders, not crying or throwing tantrums.

Zhai Hua knew that her son took after his father. His good behavior had nothing to do with the Zhai family.

“Xiao Bao, I will bring you over there to play.” Er Bao finished his full cup of fruit juice in one go. He noticed that everyone’s attention was on Tian Yu, and he could not help but be up to mischief. Xiao Bao was so young and slow. He was not fun to play with. But he was willing to play with him. He was a good brother.

Tian Yu looked at Er Bao. He was being put in a difficult position. Compared to being with his brother, he preferred to be in his auntie’s embrace and for her to tell stories to him.

Da Bao raised his eyebrows. He took Tian Yu’s tiny hands as well. “Let’s play together.” His siblings were around. It was ridiculous that their mother hugged the younger brother instead of them. At his age, Da Bao could tell that Tian Yu had a different relationship with him compared to Er Bao and San Bao.

The three of them had the same mother and they stayed together in one house.

Xiao Bao was given birth to by auntie. He would only get to see him in the day and they seldom slept together at night.

It was alright that his mother carried Er Bao or San Bao. But why did the younger brother from auntie’s house get the attention of his mother? He could tell that Er Bao was upset about this and was jealous of Xiao Bao. As the eldest brother, he was obligated to help his brother. Anyway, he felt jealous as well, and he wanted his mother to carry him.

“That’s right. Xiao Bao, let’s play together.” Compared to Da Bao and Er Bao who reasoned things out but did not resort to force, San Bao, who was impatient, preferred getting into action. She held Tian Yu’s hands, not allowing him to reject her. She led Tian Yu toward the pile of toys. Tian Yu had no choice but to trail after her.

Among the three children, San Bao, who had beautiful eyes and nose, bore the strongest resemblance to their mother, Qiao Nan.
