Chapter 807: Putting An End To It All
Kana did not go to school the next day. She was deciding what she should do. While she knew this was a game, she still felt kind of off, killing the four love interests. She thought about it all morning long until she finally asked the system once more. "System, the splat ending is not going to result in a bad end for me, right?"
"No. The splat ending is there for those who do not wish to continue with the love love ending. But if you are caught in the act, you will automatically fail." The system replied. Kana pursed her lips and sat back on a chair in the living room. "Then does being caught mean by the other love interests or by someone else?"
"By someone else." Hearing this, Kana decided it might be easier to just call them all over and splat them all.
Taking a deep breath before slowly letting it out. Kana made her decision. She could not do this the easy way since her bars are all metered, and she could not waste any more time in this place. Some game was not as important as her own life. Since it is the splat ending that will get her out of this mess, then she will splat and splat some more. But first…. "I need to buy a sword…."
Kana looked at the money in the system menu and nodded her head before leaving the house. Since she was going to off some lovers, she decided to buy the nicest sword she could find. As long as the blade was super sharp, she would be able to use it with no problem. Luckily all this time, her physical stats were all maxed out, so she should be able to move as she pleases.
Kana walked down the street with more of a skip in her step, knowing she was soon going to be leaving this game. She could finally be free from the game and hopefully will never run into a stone hut for the rest of her life.
It took an hour by foot to reach a shop that dealt with swords. She walked inside to see a man with a patch over his eye and a scar on his face sitting behind the counter. Kana put her hands behind her back and looked around the room. She did not stop looking until she spotted a sword that looked very familiar to her. Isn't this…. The sword in quest was the same exact sword her handsome husband made her for when she was younger. Since being stuck in this world, she had not seen it. She did not understand why she was finding it here, but here it was sitting right in front of her face. She picked the blade up and felt the resonation from it, and smiled brightly. "This is it…."
Kana looked at the price and saw how low the price was for it, and frowned. She couldn't believe the price of this sword was lower than the price of the other words that were worthless in her eyes. She walked over to the counter and put the sword on top of it. "This, please."
"Take it…" The scarred man suddenly said.
"Huh?" Kana was confused. She was willing to pay for it and even had the money. If it was this sword, she was willing to pay a trillion times more.
"I said take it. That sword has rejected every owner who has picked it up, but you easily lifted it with no problem. As a sword lover, if I do not give you that sword, I would be failing myself. So go ahead and take it." The scarred man explained while pushing the sword to Kana.
Kana looked at the sword and nodded her head before reaching out and taking it. As Kana gazed at the sword, a warm smile formed on her lips as she said: "Thank you."
"Don't mention it. Now go." The scarred many waved his hand to shoo Kana away. Kana waved goodbye to him before running out of the shop.
After Kana left, the scarred man suddenly transformed into a golden haired bearded old man. "Those four can now finally rest in peace." The golden bearded old man sighed as he looked around the shop. "I paid a great deal of power to take that sword out of her. It seems that the heavenly laws of this world are truly strong. But I owed the little girl for putting her through all these trials, and I owe her for finally putting my dear friends to rest. I was too weak to be able to do anything for them as I could not bring myself to kill them…."
Kana held the sword tightly in her hand as she returned back to her home. The feeling of familiarity was so strong that Kana quickly went home to polish her blade. The sword that was made with so much love and care by her handsome husband was precious to her.
It was not until the next day that Kana went to school and invited all four of them to her house. She decided she would do the splatting inside her own home as it would keep people from finding out about it. When school ended, Sam, Erica, Jeff, and Jason were all in high spirits as they passed the threshold of Kana's home. The day before, she had done some preparations so that no one could escape. With the key in hand, she locked the deadbolt on the door and reached behind the table next to the door.
When Sam turned around due to hearing a clicking sound, Her eyes went wide when she saw Kana holding an unsheathed sword in her hand. "Kana, this is!?"
"You see… I have to do something I do not wish to do. So please. If you say you love me, stand there quietly so I can make this as painless as possible." Kana looked up at Sam with eyes filled with pain. This may be a game, but she was able to converse with these four like real people. They never did her any harm, but now she had no choice.
Sam's eyes lowered for a second before she turned and looked at the others. They all nodded to one another before stepping forward and kneeling down on one knee with their heads lowered. "It seems we can now finally rest. Kana. We thank you….."
Kana was not sure what was going on but seeing how they had an aura of relief about them Kana felt that maybe this entire time they truly wished to die. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before swinging her sword. Four thumps were heard as a warm bloody liquid flowed onto the floor…..
