Chapter 244 - Hell Training
Dronic Dungeon Level 91…
"Faster!" Sister Tu pulled back her bowstring and fired it in rapid succession. Hundreds of arrows were barreling down on Kana as she quickly dodged left and right, trying her best not to get hit. Loud explosions could be heard as each arrow struck the area around her creating small craters each time an arrow landed.
This was the kind of training Kana had been going through for the past month. She spent four months in a pool of hot magma, and now she was running and dodging for her life. The only upside was she was allowed a nice hot bath, a good night's sleep, and three meals a day. Each day the meals would get bigger and bigger. Her appetite was also growing as time went on. She found it strange. Before, she could eat a little more than the average human, but now she was eating ten times that but not gaining a single ounce. She was sure if some of the girls she knew heard this, they would definitely shun her.
But other than the time at night when she finally got about seven hours of rest, she was forced to undergo harsh training every day. But Kana did not complain once. When she first found out that her body was really sucking in the magma, all her thoughts of those old ladies trying to torment her for fun went out the window. Even now. As she ran from the incoming arrows with everything she had, she could feel herself breaking the limits of what she normally would be able to do and was actually grasping the advantage of her true prowess, which was locked away by a mental block of what she could and couldn't do.
Kana always had the notion that she was weaker than she truly was. So her ability to display her true prowess was locked under this mentality. But now, as she slowly began to push herself even further, she was able to break out of this state of mind.
Each day she felt she grew a little faster. But at the same time, each day, Sister Tu would speed up her firing of arrows adding more every day as well. "Move quicker. I know you can! If you can not pass this simple stage of the training, you will never actually learn how to use any kind of ranged weapon. The key point for all ranged users is to make sure to keep on the move. If you were to face an enemy who could easily deflect your shots and rush up on you, then you would be deader than dead can be!
"This training is the basis for all your future training. Once you master all the schools of weapons, you will be a dragon who has learned from the ancients! A dragon who can fly free throughout the skies! All races will have to bow down before your great power. So hury up and keep moving!" Sister Tu yelled out. She was not firing more arrows and speeding up how fast she was firing them. With no magic involved, it was quite amazing how quickly Sister Tu was able to fire arrows with skill alone.
Kana gritted her teeth. She wished she had more stat points! The night before after realizing she was having a hard time keeping up, Kana used all her [Status Points] and dumped them into [Agility]. But even still, she was still struggling to stay one step ahead of the arrows.
"Sh*t! Ahh!" Kana yelled out as she slipped on some loose debris and stumbled.
*Boom!*
"See what happens!? You need to keep a better eye on your surroundings! One slip, and you almost lost your arm!" Sister Tu yelled. No sympathy at all for her current situation.
Kana knelt on the ground. Blood dripped from her right arm as it swayed in an unnatural way in the wind. The only thing holding it on was a chunk of skin in the back. The arrow had pierced right through Kana's skin, muscles, and bones, taking a chunk right out of her. "Humph! Sit still, this old lady will heal you."
Kana watched as her arm quickly healed up like new. She breathed a sigh of relief as she slowly stood back up. But her small rest did not last long when she heard a whizzing sound coming straight at her again. With no other choice, Kana was once again forced to continue running and dodging arrows.

"Where should we head first?" Tia asked. The two girls had rested up, and it was now noon time. A perfect time to head out and roam about.
"Let's just roam the busier streets for now and act like tourists. If we act like we belong here or suspiciously, I am sure it will bring notice to us. Plus…" Kiliffia sniffed the air. "I smell that guard, and he is close. I think he might be tailing us."
"Mm… Then let's go check out the street stalls then." Tia said, grabbing Kiliffia's hand.
The streets of Triefil were much more packed than in the morning. Wood stands with cloth awnings covering the tops lined the streets of the market. Some stalls sold meats all cut up and ready to go, while others sold live animals for you to take home and slaughter yourself. There were clothing stalls, toy stalls, and even a place to sit down and get something hot to eat. There were many things all crammed into this one small street.
As the two were walking the streets peeking at this and that with great interest, Kiliffia paused when she heard a certain conversation by a side alley. "How many more men are coming tonight? We can only hold a thousand more."
"From what I was told, only about three hundred. I told him after that we can't take any more men or our training camp will not be able to house them. Those damn priests are just pushing these people on to us, left and right. If they want to prepare for war that is fine. I am all for it but damn man. You can not make your soldiers live in such conditions."
"Forget it. As long as you told him we can't take more. They can just go build another training facility."
One of the men Kiliffia was listening to seemed to have noticed something and turned his head. But when he looked around he saw nothing. Shaking his head and rubbing the spot between his brow, he said: "Let's go, we need to head back down before the commander gets mad."
