Chapter 443 - The Past: War Part 3
Ar'en's predictions were correct. Only half a day went by when thousands of portals appeared near the city they had just taken. This was the start of the true war. "Encircle the city! Don't let a single one through. We must form the front lines here and begin our conquest!"
The horns of war were blown, and the soldiers of the demon's domain quickly formed an impenetrable wall around the city. The power difference was seen right from the start as the army from the demon's domain pushed forward hard, destroying the first wave. From there, there was no stopping them.
??
Day and night, the battle raged on. Ar'en and Kana watched as the army they had trained showed no mercy to their enemies. The blood of the human domains soldiers ran like rivers on the battlefield. As Ar'en had planned, his forces pushed forward, claiming more land, and the more land they claimed, the more cities that fell into their hands.
Their progress was not quick, it was slow and steady. And after almost ten years of fighting, the leaders of the human domain were not looking good. "What the hell is going on!?"
"No matter what we do, we can not get past the front line. Ar'en has people who are just as powerful as him under his command. Each one can match up to us! "
"Then what should we do? At this rate, we will all be killed."
"I have a plan, but I am not sure if you all will agree to it."
"Anything is better than waiting for our own deaths. Let us hear it."
"I say for the time being we surrender. Let Ar'en have control. Once we finish creating that magic spell that will seal him, we can then not only seal him but kill that bitch as well. As of right now, we are only sending our people to their deaths. The seven of us will withdraw and come back once we have the spell finished. "
"This…"
"I agree… I hate to say it, but it is our only option. Ar'en's forces are too powerful. We have lost over one hundred thousand troops in just a few years. Not only have we not held them off, but they have taken half of our domain."
"All in favor?"
"Good. Send down our commands to surrender. We will now vanish from prying eyes. Those who know when to retreat will live to fight another day."
And thus, the human domain surrendered. "Ar'en, those old bastards most likely disappeared."
"Mmm… I have already sent people out to search for them… Our son…" Ar'en wanted to bring back his son, but the ones he needed to watch out for the most were no where to be found.
"Ar'en, do you hate me for sending our son away?" Kana asked as she looked up at Ar'en, her eyes brimming with tears.
"No… He should be living a good life. It is better this way. Instead of having to grow up in this life full of hate and war…" Ar'en hated to say it, but this was true.
"I hope he is having a good life. Have you heard anything from the people you sent to be his parents?" Kana asked. She had not heard any updates about her son since he went out on his own, so she had no idea how he was doing.
"This I am not sure of. We lost contact with the two demons I sent with him. The device I sent with them might have malfunctioned, and they are not powerful enough to return to the sea of stars to make a report. We can go to take a look after we settle things here." Ar'en also wanted to take a peek at his son.
"Mmm… But I do not want to show myself until I am ready to bring him home."
Kana and Ar'en did as they said they would. After they settled post war matters, they went to the mortal world. They stood high in the sky and looked down on their son as he was being chased around by a young girl named Lee. Kana buried her face into Ar'en's chest when she saw her son was doing well. "I hope he can live a fulfilling life…"
"I do too." Ar'en hugged Kana tightly before disappearing. He was happy his son was doing okay. If they had known what was to come for them in the years ahead, maybe just maybe, they would have appeared before him and actually sat down to speak with him.

Present day the realm of gods…
"Kana!" Creige cried out as he stood out on the street, the gates to his own home shut tightly, not letting anyone through.
"Stay out there until my babies come home. Until then, don't even think of stepping foot into this yard. And if I do not see them in the next twenty four hours, you can stay out there forever!" Kana was mad, but she did not actually mean what she said. She loved Creige just as much as her babies and couldn't bear to be without him either. But there was a limit to how nice she could be. She already beat him up. And since she felt bad for beating him up, she decided the next best thing is to lock him out of the house!
But who would have thought that as soon as she went to walk into the house, a female voice coming from outside the gate made her ears twitch. "Hey, hey handsome man, if you have no place to go, you can always come to my house. My bed is really warm."
Kana's face turned black. "Aoi go keep the thots away from my good for nothing husband."
"Okay!" Aoi giggled as she flew out of the yard. The next thing you heard was a loud bang and then a splatting sound following it. Aoi came flying back into the yard, scratching her head. "Uhh… Kana, I think Creige is mad cause he just squashed that woman like a bug I mean it is pretty disgusting out there."
"Humph! At least he still has some sense about him."
