"Alright, pack up! We will head out in an hour!" Pepelt yelled out to his men.
"Tilia, I think Pepelt has a thing for you…" Kana suddenly said. She had been watching Pepelt for an hour now, and he kept taking quick glances at Princess Tilia every now and then.
"I highly doubt it. I am nothing more than a mere commoner now." Tilia replied in earnest. To her, anyone who wanted to marry her was only doing so because of her status. Now that she was a commoner and rejected her royal heritage, she did not think anyone would want anything to do with her anymore.
"Nope, he got a good glimpse of your body last night. I am sure he has taken a liking to you. Although if this was the case, we really should report him to the guards as soon as possible. Tilia is very young, after all. If he really liked her like that, then that would make him a lol…" Ceilie was cut off by a yell from behind.
"I am not!" Pepelt just happened to walk over and heard their conversation. "I am just worried about her safety…"
"Mmm, sure, sure… Just don't do anything that will put you in jail." Ceilie replied while pulling Princess Tilia behind her as if she was defending her child from a bad man.
"Oh Pepelt, let me ask you, do you know when the next full moon is?" Kana asked, changing the subject. She hoped she did not have to wait too long.
"The next full moon should be in the next seven days." Pepelt answered.
"Okay, thanks!" Kana was happy she only needed to wait seven more days! Seven more days, and she would evolve. She really wondered how cool looking she will be after she evolves. She wondered if she would get a beautiful humanoid form or look like some kind of supreme goddess. Kana completely forgot the name of her evolution…
"Kana, you seem happy. What happens during the next full moon?" Ceilie asked.
Kana stood on her hind legs, put her front paws on her hips, raised her snout in the air, and proudly stated: "This beauty will evolve into the most beautiful existence you have ever seen!"
Ceilie was shivering as she held in her laughter. She could not help but find Kana very cute. If Lysairth could speak to Ceilie, they would probably form a Kana is cute fan club.
"My! How wonderful! I do hope you are successful!" Princess Tilia jumped up and gave Kana a big hug. Which Kana wagged her tail happily.
"We are ready to set out!" Pepelt yelled over at the three girls.
The girls ran over to the wagons. Ceilie, Kana, and Princess Tilia all got into one wagon while Pepelt personally drove it. The rest of his caravan was two other carts, which were manned with four other rabbit men. Besides them, there were also three rabbit men wearing armor. This was Pepelt's normal personnel for his journeys. Usually, this was enough to keep bandits away, but with Princess Tilia along for the journey and the rumors he had heard, he was glad that Ceilie and Kana were willing to join them. Although the cute princess seemed to have lost it and began stripping and chanting how she was going to kill all humans. He slowly began to wonder if the two people he asked for help were using some kind of brainwashing technique on the princess. So he was keeping an eye on her as best as he could. But because he kept looking in her direction, the girls have now labeled him a lolicon… "Sigh… was it wrong of me to worry? "
Kana peeked out the back of the wagon and looked at the passing scenery. The path they were on passed through a large open meadow that reached all the way to the Rural Kingdom. The sky was blue and clear, and the sounds of birds singing in the distance could be heard. Many low level monsters bobbed their heads up and down in the grass not too far away. Every so often, a large boulder could be seen poking up out of the ground. The trip seemed very peaceful and quiet.
Kana laid on her back with her head sticking out the back of the wagon, looking up at the sky. Before she knew it, she was joined by Princess Tilia. "Kana, thank you for accompanying me on my journey."
"It's fine. We were heading the same way anyway. Plus, you wanted to stop the bad humans from doing something that would cause harm to others. As long as you do not turn your backs on Ceilie and me, we will do what we can to help you. But if you betray us, I will bite your head off." Kana replied nonchalantly as she stretched her legs.
"Hehe, Ceilie said the same thing. But do not worry. I will never betray those who are good to me. Since leaving the castle and going on this journey, I have finally understood what it meant to have people to rely on. Not the fake facade that those in the castle give. They will smile to your face and try to gain your favor but bad mouth you behind your back. People like that make me sick. But you and Ceilie are different. You both have shown me such kindness even though you do not like humans. You are even willing to help me during this time. And the best thing about the two of you is that you do not seek my favor or treat me differently. You're upfront and honest about your feelings. I truly admire the two of you, and because of this, I discarded my name. I want to thank the two of you for showing me that not every person is fake."
