Chapter 577 - The Goddess Of Life And Death Part 2
Kana stepped out of her egg. Her pearly white skin glimmered in the soft lights of the room. Her hair fell down her back, reaching down to her mid-thigh. The top of her hair started off as a golden color working its way to pure white, then purple with black tips. Her horns were also multi-colored. One was purple transitioning to black, while the other was gold transitioning to pure white. Hanging off her purple and black horn was a golden halo, while her gold and white horn had a black halo hanging off it. On her back were two sets of wings. One set was feathered and was pure white with shimmers of gold, while her other set of wings resembled demon wings and were pure black with shimmers of purple. As for her eyes, the same as her wings, one was white with shimmers of gold, and the other was black with shimmers of purple. Her body was now that of a young woman once again. If Creige were to see her body as it was now, he would surely get a nose bleed.
Kana climbed off the bed and walked over to one of the closet doors built into the wall, opened it and took out a set of clothing from her previous life, and put it on. It was just leisurewear, a white tank top and a pair of pale blue short shorts. She couldn't wear them before because her body was too small, but now her body was the perfect size. "That's better."
Kana turned and looked at the two standing there staring dumbly at her. "Mom? Bell?"
"Kana, do you not realize her entire being has basically changed!?" Lysairth finally yelled out. "You were cute and beautiful before, but now… Even I, your mother, blushed seeing your body!"
Kana pursed her lips and looked down at herself. Her slim legs and small feet came into view. This kind of bothered her as her modest mounds did not keep her from seeing her feet. "I do not see much of a difference from before. Anyway, let's go out."
Kana didn't even take time to look at her status screen as she grabbed both Bell's and Lysarith's hands and pulled them out of the room. "Eve, call everyone to the meeting room."
"I have already taken the liberty of doing that, Master," Eve replied.
"You always seem to know how I think, Eve," Kana said with a smile as she walked towards the meeting room. "Mom, how long did my evolution take?"
"About sixty years if I counted right." Lysairth normally did not care about time, but she knew that Kana would be worried about how long she was in her evolution state since every second was a second too much from being with her family.
Kana frowned upon hearing this. She knew it was a while, but sixty years was still a lot. "I will need to hurry and grow more powerful sooner so I can reach the sea of stars faster…" Kana missed her husband and babies more than anything. She wanted nothing more than to reach her goal of meeting them once again.
"Kana!" Aruya and Aoi both tackled Kana, hugging her tightly. After a few minutes of squeezing her with all they had, they finally stepped back and looked her all over. "This look is very… Suiting?"
"I feel mesmerized just by looking at you. It's like you have an air about you that makes me want to gaze upon you and worship you." Aoi said with a teasing smile. But her words were actually true. The feeling she got from Kana was that Kana was someone who should be looked up to and worshipped like a god.
"Haha! Little girl, you are right." An old voice filled the room, causing everyone to turn and look at the old man who had just appeared. He ignored the strange gazes and looked Kana up and down. "Mmm… It seems the fusion was really good. Even your holy element fused in as well. As of now, you are almost similar to me, just weaker." The old man said after a few nods of his head.
Kana pulled up her status window upon hearing the old man's words and frowned when she saw her new information. "Old man, care to explain to me why I suddenly have the life element and am now the Goddess of Life and Death?"
"Ah! Yes. I should explain. You see, I tasked your daughter Angelica with a simple task. Kill the Goddess of Life and take out her soul." The old man replied.
"You what!?" Kana yelled and walked up, slapping the old man in the face. "What right do you have to make my baby do something so dangerous!? What would happen if she died!?"
The old man rubbed his face feeling wronged as he explained. "I would not send her on a mission such as this if it was not for her unique mastery over souls. But this was also good for her as she is now the new Ghost Empress and rules over the realm of the dead."
"What!? She is already de…" Kana did not get to finish before the old man quickly interrupted her when he saw her raise her fist.
"Wait! It is not what you think! There is no way I would let her die! She already had the ability to control her soul as she wished, including splitting part of it off. She only needed me to send her there. Now that she is the Ghost Empress, she can freely move between the two realms. Even if she was not, I feel she would still be able to. Her power is only a little weaker than your death element now. The only thing she can not go against is the Goddess of Death." The old man hurriedly explained.
"I see…" Kana let out a long sigh of relief. She almost had a heart attack. "So she went to fight the Goddess Of Life. How did it go?"
"I informed your husband ahead of time, and he sought help from one of the Universal Beast, Tian, controller of time and space. Tian then had your sister Camlia come along as well. As for the actual fight… Well, it was kind of dull, to be honest. The void I locked the Goddess of Life in weakened her a lot, but she was truly a letdown. Or it could be that I underestimated the power of word, that is able to control souls. She made thousands of monsters created by the Goddess of Life lay down and even ripped the Goddess of Life's soul out of her body without even doing much but saying a few words. The whole battle was not long at all."
--AN: A big thanks to AchroniaSamara for coming up with Kana's new look!
