“What did I do?” Abigail Green looked blandly at Mona Wilde, who was completely different from when she worked at Piers’ Mansion.
Because she was a nanny, she wasn’t allowed to use makeup during her contract period, and there were guidelines for her attire. Mona’s features appeared plain and unremarkable.
But now it was different. Her makeup was stylish and avant-garde, her eyes visually doubled in size. The center-parted hairstyle perfectly concealed her overly wide jaw muscles, making her much prettier.
Given her figure as well, Abigail could rate her a six out of ten.
“What do you have in your hands?” Mona met Abigail’s calm gaze and didn’t believe her, continuing to question.
Abigail spread her empty hands. “Is there a problem?”
“You…” Mona was speechless.
Abigail kindly asked, “Now that the Piers have fired you, which family are you planning to go to next? I have several household service company numbers. Need any help finding a new job? After all, talents like you are always in high demand. But dressing like this as a nanny might not work; be careful not to upset the lady of the house.”
Her tone seemed almost conversational.
Mona’s face kept changing. Everyone in her circle of friends knew she worked as a nanny at the Piers’; she had never felt ashamed. In fact, because she could interact with Master Piers, many people envied her.
But coming from Abigail’s mouth, it had a different flavor.
Even the surrounding people started looking at Mona with curiosity. Was she a nanny dressed like that to work, or was she planning to be a mistress?
“Shut up!” Mona gritted her teeth, yet she refrained from lashing out because there were many born in the purple here and she didn’t want to ruin her image.
But the rogue Master Hudson didn’t care. “Sister Mona, how dare this fatty act so arrogantly? I’ll teach her a lesson for you.”
As he spoke, he swung his palm towards Abigail.
Abigail watched coldly. Why did it seem that after her rebirth, everyone wanted to slap her?
She didn’t know when she had grasped a silver needle in her palm, but before she could use it, someone gripped Master Hudson’s hand.
“Master Hudson, what are you doing?” A tall figure had somehow stepped in front of Abigail, holding Master Hudson’s fist, his eyes filled with dissatisfaction.
Seeing this, the rogue young master said, “Clark! You’re here just in time. This fatty not only insulted me but also bullied Sister Mona. Teach her a lesson quickly. I want to cut off her fat and sell it.”
Such bloody words were spoken nonchalantly by the silver-haired Master Hudson.
Clark Stone disregarded him and turned to look at Abigail with gentle eyes. “Abigail, are you okay?”
Abigail recognized him. This was Abigail Green’s white moonlight, Clark Stone.
“I’m fine. Do you guys know each other?” Abigail glanced at the others, finally settling her gaze on Clark Stone’s somewhat handsome face.
Somewhat, compared to ordinary people.
If the reference point was Brandon Piers, then forget it.
“This is Master Hudson, Sister Mona, my friends. I brought them here specifically to introduce them to you. We’re all friends now.” Clark said with a smile, reaching out to embrace Abigail.
Abigail casually sidestepped. “There’s no need for introductions.”
“Abigail, I think this is a misunderstanding…”
“Clark, the girlfriend you wanted to introduce to us is this fatty? Are you blind?” Master Hudson exploded before Clark could finish his sentence.
Clark suppressed his coldness and loudly rebuked, “Master Hudson, Abigail is my girlfriend. You can’t talk about her like that.”
His intention to protect her was very clear.
Abigail, however, raised an eyebrow secretly. Since when had she become Clark Stone’s girlfriend?
Or rather, when had Abigail Green become his girlfriend?
