Reborn as the Hero’s Daughter! Time to Become the Hero Once More!

Chapter 382

Chapter 382

The first thing we did after we came to Gadius inn, Greatshields Protection, was taking a good rest.

All of us were what would be considered young in terms of age. For that reason, we had excess stamina.

That said, if we push ourselves too much, it could lead to making blunders where we wouldnt expect. Not to mention, the reckless things you did as a kid could come to bite you back later on.

It was important to train your body gradually without pushing it too far.

Or so said an experienced person.

Who is that person?

Its a secret.

Michelle asked me as I told everyone to take a three day rest. The way she raised her hand was adorable. The way something swayed was also wonderful.

Hearing they were getting three days rest, she became excited and started thinking about what to do, so I intentionally frowned and pacified her, advising her against it.

But we just came to the new city, so I dont even know what to do with the time off.

Cloud protested and glanced at Finia.

It would be lonely alone so he wanted to go with Finia? Too bad, but Im not handing Finia to you, you jerk. Or Michelle for that matter.

Finia and Michelle will be shopping with me. Girls have things to prepare.

That is true. The rooms Lord Gadius prepared still look too barren, so I would like to go shopping.

We also need to check where to buy the daily necessities too.

Then Ill also

Oh, we also plan to check underwear and that stuff, so still wanna come?

Ill refrain.

Cloud dejectedly hung his head. But it couldnt be helped. We got a lot of laundries piled up in these five days, so we wanted to wash it too. There was also a need to replenish the clothes we lacked.

In my home in Raum in Cortinas house, there was no need for that, but we only brought minimum luggage here.

There were many things we needed to buy.

If you feel lonely alone, why not train with Gadius?

You call that a rest?! Ill just go check the towns structure or something.

You should. Adventurers have to be ready for anything.

Gahh, fine, goddammit, men are lonely creatures anyway.

What are you trying to act cool for. Youre just Cloud.

Dont deny my very existence, will yooou!

I teased Cloud who was acting nihilistic, and then we all returned to our respective rooms. It would have been more financially forgiving to get one room for several people, but I had too many secrets. I couldnt go with the shared room method like normal Adventurers did.

It would have been weird if only I took a personal room, so I decided to get everyone their own too. On that part, Gadius had to sacrifice quite a few rooms, but I was properly paying him the full price, so there should be no problems.

As I entered my room, I immediately started to inspect my equipment. Finia got to know about my Thread Manipulation Gift, but she still didnt know about my trusty gauntlets that I used as Reid.

She should have seen it during the training camp, but she does not seem to have realized that it belonged to Reid. I guess luck was on my side.

Michelle had also seen it a few times, but she didnt know how Reid even looked so it was fine. But there was no guarantee that she would never realize it. I may need to commission Aste to change the exterior. Until then, I have to make do with the spare piano wires I have on me.

And I have to hide the gauntlets too.

That said, I can only hide it underneath the bed at most here.

Needless to say, above my room that was on the second floor, was the third floor. In other words, I couldnt hide it in the attic.

There was a closet, but it didnt have a lock so it would be bad if someone opened it. Hiding things under the bed was typical, but there was no other place to hide them so I had to endure.

Lets push the bed to the wall then disguise a board as a wall, and hide them behind it. If I prepare a dummy beforehand, they shouldnt rummage beyond it, right?

I would put a box with the gauntlets alongside the wall, and then camouflage it by putting a board with the wall pattern before it. I should be able to hide a few centimeters of difference in depth.

And if I put something showy nearby as if I was hiding it, whoever rummages my room would be convinced when they find it and stop looking.

It was like a trap with two-layered bottoms that had yet another bottom. It was surprisingly easy to overlook.

I guess Ill go buy a board tomorrow while pretending that I was into carpentry.

It wasnt a very girly hobby, but I had to at least make up that excuse or it would be too strange if I suddenly came back with a board.

If I just say that I was testing out new hobbies since we changed the city, it should somehow convince them.

After that, I stuffed my blotches inside the closet and lay down. The five days of journey had shaved away my stamina more than I thought, so my eyelids quickly started to close.

I really had to change into pajamas, but the travel clothes I was wearing could retain warmth quite well, and they were already wrinkled anyway.

It wouldnt be a problem to sleep as is.
