Chapter 34 The Beast Plane
Chapter 34 The Beast Plane
Sophia was having the day of her life.
A few days ago, she engaged in business with the World through the Lord Hermit's gathering. After getting the Elysium Seeds through the supers materials market, she did not hesitate to pray to the Hermit.
Legolas already received the materials on that same day but he did not reciprocate immediately, he had to keep the notion that getting the Elementalist book was not an easy feat on his part.
After the beast apocalypse, of the few humans that survived, only a small amount of them was able to develop and unlock the supergene.
And of those that unlocked the supergene, unless they were connected to any of the major powers and academies, they had no access to super knowledge to unlock a main class and become superhuman warriors.
Sophia's dad was a powerful businessman who had connections to some of the different shelters and the leaders who governed them.
Through his connections, he already knew the dangers that were fraught in the super life, and that was why he did not get a main class for his daughter.
Being the only daughter and last born, Sophia was dotted on a lot by her father. He would never allow her to become a superhuman warrior, he rather preferred hiring superhuman warriors to protect her.
Knowing this was why Sophia grabbed the opportunity that was presented by the World. Today, the World finally fulfilled his promise.
Legolas did not do much, he left everything to Aaron who simply drafted a comprehensive book on Elementalism through his extensive knowledge.
Sophia looked down at the book that was on her bed.
>A Basic Guide into Elementalism- Secrets of Elementalists<
"Woof!"
Having noticed the extreme excitement that she was experiencing already; Lily barked to voice her concern least her owner fainted from excitement.
Sophia smiled and stuck a tongue out at her dog before patting her chest to calm herself down. Once she calmed down, she finally opened the large book and started going through it.
Even with her shallow knowledge, once she read just 2 minutes in, Sophia knew that she was reading a masterpiece about Elementalism.
She was amazed. "The Hermit is really an unfathomable existence".
She kept reading for minutes until something clicked in her head. All of a sudden, her eyes turned white as her consciousness left her body.
Sophia saw herself in a world of different colors with 4 colors being the most dominant, orange, cyan green, brown, and blue.
This was her first time coming here but instinctively, she knew what to do. Sophia willed and moved her consciousness towards her best color of the 4, blue which seemed more appealing to her at this moment.
Once she merged with the blue color, the world shattered.
Sophia woke up to her dog barking worriedly.
"Woof!"
"It's ok, Lily". Sophia rubbed the dog's head to calm her down as she reflected back on her experience inside the strange world.
"I read about that strange world in the book. The 4 colors represent the 4 main elements of nature, orange for fire, cyan green for air, brown for earth, and blue for water".
Her eyes widened excitedly. "Does that mean I got a water affinity?"
Following the instructions in the book, Sophia tried to focus on her head to mobilize the strange power that she now felt there.
As she concentrated, to her shock, a blob of water suddenly materialized above her hand as she easily manipulated it into any shape that she wanted.
Sophia was stunned. "I…, I am an Elementalist!" She yelled as she started a happy dance all over her room.
A few minutes later though, she calmed down as she fought hard to suppress her excitement before kneeling down to pray to the Hermit again.
She prayed to express her gratitude to the World for fulfilling his part of the agreement and also to thank the Hermit again for giving him the opportunity to be a part of his sacred gathering.
…
After the rainbow bridge, Legolas saw himself appear in a different world.
The first thing that attracted his attention was the violet skies. A bright smile lit up his face as he saw this. "Oh boy, this feels more like home".
After such a long time, he saw himself in the beast plane again.
The beast plane was the real home of all beasts. Just like the Void dimension was exclusive to void existences, so also was the beast plane to beasts.
This was where summoners could get their summoned beasts, and this was also where the Shepherd could start his career of rearing beasts.
Every dimension and plane had access nodes on different planets, and these access nodes led to different parts of the specific plane. Where Legolas stood right now was the part of the beast plane where the Darvis node was located.
To travel from this part safely to another major part of the beast plane, he needed to become a Grade A superhuman warrior first.
Legolas had no intentions of leaving this part though, his goals could be fulfilled here. He first looked around and observed his surroundings.
At this moment, he was standing on what seemed like a mountain.
Different rocks, big and small dominated this area with a small stream about 20 meters off in front of him. Surrounding this mountain was several very large trees forming a forest, with different animals big and small crawling about.
All across the mountain moved different wild beasts, ranging from Mountain Goats to Goblins, Trolls, and Lions. Legolas knew that there were also Dragons and other mythical beasts in the beast plane, they occupied the deeper parts.
The skies were not spared either as Eagles and other birds of prey flew, with some of them occasionally coming to blows.
The atmosphere here was energetic and full of savagery.
"Nice". Legolas nodded as this was the real deal.
This was his playground; this was where his real genius and expertise as a Summoner and Zoologist could be really put into play.
As he looked though, Legolas suddenly heard the cry of a wolf from high up in the mountain. He looked up only for his eyes to clash with the Dark Wolf's.
Without hesitation, Legolas started sprinting down the mountain towards the forest. Without his contracted beast, his pet, and without his basic alloy sword too, he needed his brain more than ever before.
Legolas was ready for the challenge though. "Bring it on!"
