Chapter 1372 Playing Along

Kisa did not make a sound but kept her head low and drank her soup.

Kelvin came to her side and said, “Kisa, trust me, Gilbert is not such an easy person. He only has you in mind. The media has always been so obsessed with reporting such things.”

Kisa finished the soup in the bowl but did not take a single bite of the sandwich she was holding in her hand, as she had no appetite. She looked at Kelvin. “I understand; he must have been drunk.”

Kelvin froze for a moment, and then quickly nodded his head. “Yes, yes. Look at the photos in the newspaper It looks like he was drunk.”

“So, whatever happened, it wasn’t his intention. So don’t worry, I won’t blame him.” And she knew she did not have the right to blame him. After all, she was the one who pushed him away just so that she could get near Adrien.

Kisa looked too calm for Kelvin’s comfort. “You really don’t blame Gilbert?”

She shook her head, looking serious. “I don’t blame him.”

Kelvin suddenly frowned. “Kisa, you don’t blame him because you don’t care about him, right?”

Kisa said nothing, just cleaned up the tray, and walked inside. When a maid came up, she handed the tray to the maid and then turned around to go toward Vivian’s place. She figured that since she was going to play along, she would drink tea at Vivian’s place for the next few days.

Kelvin was about to follow her when his phone suddenly rang. It was Davian calling. He quickly answered it. The next moment, his face lit up with joy and hurried to catch up with Kisa. “Kisa, Kisa,

Davian just called. He said Gilbert didn’t sleep with that woman last night. He came out of the hotel by himself last night and then slept outside Felicity’s place all night.”

Kisa nodded with a calm face.

Kelvin was frustrated. “Do you care about Gilbert or not? He was so drunk last night and almost frozen to death outside Felicity’s place.”

“Hmm.” Kisa just nodded, uncharacteristically calm.

Kelvin rolled his eyes behind her back. “What a heartless woman.” What he did not see, however, was the smile that flashed across Kisa’s face..

Felicity asked the maid to make some chicken soup for Gilbert, who was leaning against the headboard with a grim face, as if he was not to be messed with. She whispered to him, “This is specially made for you, so drink it while it’s hot. Don’t catch a cold.”

Gilbert said nothing.

Felicity did not dare to say anything more. After all, his face was more terrifying than the Grim Reaper. She put the chicken soup on the bedside table and brought Davian outside, then closed the door and frowned.

“He must have quarreled with Kisa. You didn’t see him drinking yesterday, did you? He gulped one glass after another. He’s horrible and has become a madman after a fight with Kisa. Not only that, he’s also a brooding and scary maniac.”

Davian gave her a helpless look. “I can’t help it. His happiness and sorrow depend on Mrs. Kooper.”

Felicity shook her head. “It must have been a big fight. Kisa hasn’t even called to ask if he is okay.”

Davian was pissed. “Sho’s a mean and heartless woman.”

Meanwhile, Kisa was admiring the flowers in the garden outside Vivian’s place when she suddenly sneezed twice in a row. She rubbed her nose, thinking that Davian must be insulting her behind her back to Gilbert.

She and Kelvin quietly switched the teacups when no one was looking. When the maid saw her finish the cup of tea in one go, her eyes lit up with delight.

It was late at night in the Mullen residence’s restricted zone.
