Chapter 1378 Not Like a Normal Person

Kisa kept silent with her lips pursed. She felt she had indeed hurt Gilbert badly this time. Now, she just hoped that he would listen to her explanation later.

“Kisa, what’s in the restricted zone?” Kelvin suddenly asked her, his eyes full of impatient curiosity.

“We’ll find out tomorrow when we go there. Go to sleep now. It will be tomorrow after a good night’s sleep. *Kisa said calmly.

Kelvin looked up at the sky and sighed. “I really want to go to the restricted zone now. I bet everyone in the Mullen family will be sleepless tonight.”

Kisa rolled her eyes. “I think the only one who’ll be sleepless is you. Go back to sleep quickly. I have to sleep too.”

Kelvin pouted. “I’m bored. It’d be nice if Gilbert was here.” He walked out while talking.

Kisa’s mood dampened after hearing those words.

“Yeah, how nice it would be if Gilbert was here.”

She did not sleep well during the night. Perhaps because she had a fight with Gilbert and felt depressed, she had been having bad dreams for the past two days. At times, she dreamed of being on good terms with Gilbert, and at other times quarreling. She had dreamed of him being covered in blood many times. She spent the entire night in between dreams and wakefulness because of the fear and panic in her dreams.

The next morning, after waking up, she felt very energetic. But thinking about Mr. Mullen Sr. taking them. to visit the restricted zone, she still mustered up her energy.

Arriving downstairs, she found that the Mullen family was already up and waiting in the living room for breakfast. It was rare to see them so enthusiastic and ready, so she wondered if it was because of the restricted-zone visit. Mr. Mullen Sr. was not there, and she did not know if he was still asleep or had gone. to his office. Everyone sitting at the table was discussing the restricted zone, and all faces looked curious and excited.

Kisa looked around and did not see Anthony. ‘It seems that Lea’s departure has completely drained his willpower. In this case, he probably will not think of creating trouble for me and Gilbert this time.”

She went to the kitchen to grab some breakfast and headed to the backyard.

As soon as she sat down, Kelvin showed up. He looked tired, with dark circles under his eyes. He took a doughnut and a glass of orange juice and started munching on the doughnut. “Where is Mr. Mullen Sr.? He said he would take us to visit the restricted zone,” he asked.

Kisa shot a quick look at him and chuckled. “Looks like you’re more curious than I am.”

“Yeah. I can’t wait to see what kind of things Mr. Mullen Sr. keeps in there,” Kelvin said, finishing the orange juice in one gulp.

Kisa looked at him and a thought came to mind. “What if I hadn’t noticed the problem with the tea and kept drinking it every day? What would I look like now?” she asked.

“You would look haggard. First, you would look tired and worn out,” Kelvin said, giving her a quick glance.” But, to be honest, you don’t look so good right now, either.”

Kisa could not argue with that. Because of her morning sickness and lack of sleep, she did indeed look haggard. “What else?” she asked.

“You would be paranoid and act strange, not acting like a normal person,’ Kelvin said, looking at her with a puzzled expression.
