Chapter 1332 Smiling Like an Idiot

She thought it was not a bad idea. But, realizing that he would not be able to sleep, she shook her head. “Never mind. I’ll just look at my phone. I’m not sleepy, anyway.”

Gilbert said nothing as he handed her phone to her, leaned back against the headboard, and looked at his phone too. The room was warm and quiet, with only a dim wall lamp on. Not long after, Kisa fell asleep, the phone in her hand still playing a video. He carefully took her phone out of her hand with a forced smile.

‘She really fell asleep quickly.’ He looked at the side of Kisa’s face for a long time and felt that she still looked somewhat the same as she did when she was young.

Grinning to himself, he took out his phone and snapped several photos of the side of her face. And then he lay down, hugging her as he took a few more shots.

Perhaps his actions roused her; she let out a soft moan, before rolling over and snuggling up in his arms. Gilbert’s heart softened, and he rested his chin on the top of her head to take a few more

shots.

After that, he tucked the woman in, and then repeatedly admired the photos he had just taken. The more he looked at them, the quicker his heart melted. He suddenly found she was pretty, that her face was fair and clean, her facial features not too prominent, but they looked exceptionally good on her face.

After looking at them over and over, he finally picked a photo of the two of them together as the wallpaper of his phone. After it was done, he nodded in satisfaction and smiled like an idiot. Kisa would probably laugh her head off if she knew he was secretly doing such childish things.

In the second half of the night, Kisa still could not sleep well, even with Gilbert watching over her. She had two more nightmares during this period, but luckily, Gilbert woke her up quickly. She was so sleepy and tired that she basically fell back to sleep right after waking up. Because of this, Gilbert never closed his eyes for even a second.

When Kisa woke up at nine the next morning, she saw Gilbert’s eyes were bloodshot and he seemed extremely tired. Feeling bad, she sat up and asked, “Are you okay?”

Gilbert shook his head. “Did you sleep well? Do you still want to sleep?”

Kisa shook her head. “I have slept enough. You should get some sleep instead.”

Gilbert nodded. He kneaded his brow and lay back under the covers, closing his eyes while admonishing her, “Don’t wander around and be careful of what you eat. If you want to eat anything, better cook it yourself.”

“I know.” Kisa helped him tuck in the covers, then went to the bathroom quietly. After washing up and coming out, she heard Gilbert’s shallow breathing. She went over on tiptoe to see if he was asleep, and indeed he was asleep and quiet soundly. She leaned over gingerly and carefully looked at him. She found him very good-looking, his face perfect as if he was a sculpture. Kisa could not help but think of what Felicity had said. She put her hand on her belly and thought to herself, ‘They say that daughters look like their fathers, and if this baby is really a girl, she must be beautiful. Ada is a typical example. She looks like Gilbert, a bit familiar, but it is hard to tell who exactly she

resembles more.”

Kisa reached for her cell phone on the bedside table. As she turned around and was about to get off the bed, she accidentally knocked Gilbert’s phone off the bedside table.
