Chapter 50: Life Is Always Full Of Surprises
Chapter 50: Life Is Always Full Of Surprises
’I thought I reduced 70% of my Powers?’ Aaron thought in mild surprised, staring at the shattered pieces which fell to the ground, then vanished.
First Guardian: "Is that suppose to happened?"
Second: "I didn’t even think it’s possible."
Third: "It shouldn’t be, The Dean is among the strongest figures in this Continent, how can his spell shattered like it meant nothing?"
"Hmm..." The king of the Human race, remained silent, calmly observing Aaron.
"Who is this kid? Do any of you know his family?"
Aaron’s grandfather, his mother’s father asked his two-step uncles, standing on both sides.
"I don’t know." The first shook his head.
"I haven’t seen him before." The second added.
"Ahem!! Calm down everyone, It’s just a slight mistake from my end!" The Dean yelled at the Not-so-quiet guest, then created another one.
"Young man, please."
Aaron nodded, he then sealed 99% of his powers, and placed his hand on the orb. A Bright purple light shone from the Orb that everyone had to cover their eyes for some Seconds.
Aaron removed his hand and sighed helplessly.
’So much for keeping a low profile, even 1% of my strength place me in the Sky Realm... That’s the same Realms as the teachers in this Academy.’ He thought, turning his head to Protean, who landed on his shoulder.
’This... This kid reduced his powers? My orb was destroyed because of the high amount of Sid energy which flew into it... But now... Why is the energy lowered? There is only one explanation; this kid is above the sky realm...
Who the hell is he?’
The Dean fixed his gaze on Aaron.
The whole place were so silent, that you could hear a pin drop.
High above the clouds, Five figures stood on the air staring at Aaron below.
"Such strength, He’ll make a valuable soldier against the fight with the Cursed child."
A beautiful woman in a long silver gown said with a smile, she was the first elder of the council, who had lived more than three centuries...
"Elder Kara is right, I know in matter of 7 years, this kid will be the general of the soldiers we are building." The Elves’ priest, who was the second elder nodded in agreement.
"He’ll surely enter the core section, but what about this redhead..." The man with an upper body of a lion, and lower body of a human, asked, he was the third Elder.
"Actually, we should thank her, if she wasn’t in the academy, such Prodigy won’t even dream of entering the city, let alone partaking in the registration." The Dwarf standing beside the third Elder, added.
"You have a point fifth elder, but what if he refused to join? I’m saying, what if he’s here to take her away?" The Fourth elder, a female Orc, asked with some suspicion.
Kara smirked. "Ones you join the academy, you can’t leave till the day you graduated... We can only give them some time, same as we give the others, but they must return before the time is up... If not... You guys know what’ll happen."
The other four nodded, not saying anything more.
[While on the ground.]
After getting themselves back, they all exclaimed in shock.
"I can’t believe this!!"
"This kid is a Sky realm!!"
"This is a prodigy who appeared once in a thousand years!!"
"Agreed!!"
"Do anyone knows his class?"
"I don’t know."
The parents were mumbling nonstop, forgetting about their own kids for the time being.
_
Stellar walked up to her friend. "Why didn’t you tell me he’s this powerful?" She whispered.
"I don’t know about this." Lori (Emily) smiled helplessly, she then turned around to her friend.
"You are the only one in this Academy that I can call family, I want to ask how you’ll feel leaving the Academy... For good." She whispered.
"What, Leave the Academy? Don’t you know the rules? You can’t leave unless you used points, and that’s temporal holiday, but leaving for good? Your Powers will be abolished, Meridian destroyed." She then folded her hand on her chest, with a grimace on her face.
"To me, that rule is too harsh, but most of us in the outer section are kids who don’t have families or grew up on the streets... We are here for the food, and maybe opportunity to grow stronger."
"I know all that, but please, think about it, I can’t leave you here... These guys with their clubs will torture and bully you to no end."
Stellar pouted slightly;
"I might be one of the weakest in my race, having a rabbit bloodline, But I’m an Awakened realmer and also, I’m cute... Who can resist that?"
"Fufufufu..." Emily chuckled lightly, but said in a serious tone. "But think about it."
Stellar was silent now. ’Why is she so serious? Can this boy really protect us? He’s strong, correct... But can he really fight against so many powerful figures?’ She moved her gaze to the Podium, seeing Angela glaring daggers at Emily.
"Hey Babe, did you offend someone?" She gestured with her head to Angela, who turned her gaze away from their location.
"I don’t even know her, how can I offend someone who I don’t know?" Although she was confused, she hasn’t spoken to the princess, so why would she be angry at her?
"You have a point, but the way she’s looking at Aaron, do you think?"
"She won’t dare." Emily’s voice turned cold.
"Remainder, She is the princess, while we are commoners... We can’t even think of fighting someone who is a lot stronger than us."
Stellar quickly stated, hoping to hold her friend back, all the things her friend had told her about Aaron, proves that she cared for him... And she won’t let anyone... Or any princess, take him from her.
Emily took a deep breath and calm down. ’What am I doing? Almost unsealing my demonic energy in front of everyone, I shouldn’t get so excited seeing another girl having thoughts about Aaron... Besides, I don’t know how he feels about me.’
"Are you back to the living?" Stellar waved her hand in front of her friend’s face, bringing her out of her thought.
"I have thought about your word, I’ll go with you... Anytime you are ready"
"So fast? I thought it’ll take you a whole day?"
"No, You are my best friend and I trust you, And... I don’t see what I’m getting in this Academy... Truthfully; I’m tired of cleaning."
Emily blinked with a smile on her face, then the two girls giggled in a low voice.
"Fufufufu."
’When last have I seen her laugh? Maybe two months ago.’ Stellar thought, observing Emily with a small smile.
_
"How the hell is he a Sky realm? Impossible!"
"Calm down club Leader, or the Dean will be angry if he hears your screams."
Aura turned her head to her Vice, irritation, evident on her face.
"How dare you ask me to calm down? This urchin is a lot stronger than my sister, if he overtook her in everything I’ll lose the..." She paused, "Never mind."
The girls looked at one another in mild confusion, while is their leader so worked up about this? After a while, the Vice opened her mouth:
"You said it yourself, No one will be able to gain first place in "everything"."
Aura was silent for a moment: ’if he failed even one position, he loses the bet!! Yes! At long my sister pass him in one test, I’ll win.’ She smirked, then nodded slowly.
"You are right."
___
"Quiet Down everyone!! Now for the second test." The Dean who was clearly a Mage class, and a master of silent spells, snapped his Fingers again.
A table with five objects on it, appeared in front of the kids.
Aaron, who was now standing beside Emily moved his gaze around the object.
{All seeing eyes.}
{Name: Common Iron. Class:Common. Info: Normal looking Iron, Weight: 25,000 pounds.}
He blinked in confusion, and shock. ’25,000 Pounds?’
"This second test is about checking your strength, anyone who can lift this above their heads pass, Any of these irons you lift will determine your score... The first..." The Dean pointed at a small Iron on the table.
"This one is 100 pounds... You all have unlocked your Sid energies, so this will be easy." He moved his finger to the next iron. Which was a little bigger than the first.
"300 pounds, 500 pounds, 1,000 pounds, and 5,000 pounds... You can start." He turned his head to Aaron.
’For this kid to carry first he’ll have to take the 5,000 pounds, but no one will know it’s 25,000. If he lifts it up, we’ll know if he’s hiding his strength.’
’5,000? That thing is clearly 25,000 pounds.’ Aaron was confused why the Dean will mention 5,000, while the All Seeing Eyes showed him 25,000.
The first kid stepped forward, with difficulty, he raised the 100 pounds above his head, with his both hands.
"Impressively done!"
"Nice work!"
The Dean nodded, while the boy drop the Iron with numbed hands, then the next step forward.
"Hmm... Aaron, This is my friend, Stellar."
"She meant, Best of friends."
"Fufufu... Yes, my Best friend."
Aaron and Protean turned their heads to Stellar.
"It’s nice to meet you, Stellar." Aaron nodded at her.
After some hesitation, Emily said: "I... I want to ask for a favor."
