Chapter 485: Birthday
Chapter 485: Birthday
It had been weeks since the classes resumed. Everyone seems to be accustomed to the current relationships my sister and I had. But we could not prevent a few students from making issues out of us.

In fact, instead of us, the student body has been more attentive to Edward and Edith. After Francis himself confirmed that Edith actually had the blood of the Aethel family, many things changed in the academy.
Some students who looked down on and oppressed Edith suddenly changed their view of her, and they had been treating her like their own as there was a high probability that Edith would become a member of an archducal family.
They might be faking it, hoping that Edith would forget what they did to her before. Of course, Edith was not used to this kind of treatment since her entire school life was full of misery.
In my opinion, if it were not for the rumors of her origin, she would still be mistreated regardless of her status relationship with the crown prince. Now that it was confirmed, the students were currently trying to regain her trust and support her relationship with the prince.
"It's about your birthday, Raphael. What are you going to do?"
During the lunch break at our rented suite, my sister brought up my upcoming birthday that I did not realize was going near. I had been so busy with different matters, so I admitted that I kind of forgot about it.
"About it, should we really have to celebrate it? My birthday is in the weekdays, you know?"
"What are you talking about?" My sister said that with disappointment in her tone. "I have been talking about it with our mothers, and they are currently preparing it right now."
"Really? I did not know." When I looked around, I could see Iris smiling as if she knew something. "It seems like you are with it too, Iris."
My sister continued. "We decided to move your birthday to the weekends so that you didn't have any reason to avoid it. Whether you like it or not, you will come."
"We should celebrate it, Raphael." Iris then held my hands. "We all know that you are preoccupied with different things and you do not have time thinking for yourself. Actually, it was supposed to be a surprise, but we wanted to let you know this so that we could hear what you have to say."
"Oh, Iris. I have no idea you have been thinking of me that much lately. Alright, I'll attend my birthday."
"Raphael is being so biased to his fiancee again."
My sister said with her arms crossed and cheeks puffed. Not gonna lie, she was kind of cute whenever she did that.
"Don't say it like that, Sister. If you have gone that far for me, then there's no way I would say no to you. Also, aside from doing my natural obligations, I have something to do in the dungeon, so I likely would come back home."
"Is that so? I am glad that you decide to celebrate your own birthday." Big Sis then turned her head to Christine, who was sitting next to her and had been listening to our conversation. "You should come too, Christine. It's not like you aren't free, no?"
"I'll gladly accept your invitation." Christine smiled warmly. "The academy is pretty complicated right now, and a birthday celebration sounds like just the thing to liven things up."
"It's good to hear that."
Let me try to forget some problems and relax for a while. Filling my mind with problems was not good. With that being said, I would be celebrating my sixteenth birthday this weekend at the palace.
For now, I would leave anything to Sergei and Azrael while I was out.
??????
A few days had passed, and it was the weekend, which meant that the day of my birthday celebration had come. My birthday was actually a few days later, but we were celebrating it in advance so that we could have the whole day.
From the academy, I transported the four of us to our queendom. When we arrived at the Hall of Mirrors of the palace, we could see that the venue had done the preparations for the event, though there were some things to work on.
It was more like a private party than a festival since any birthdays before and after the coming-of-age were considered insignificant. We did not send out invitations, as we did not want to bother anyone.
The servants immediately bowed before us the moment they took a glimpse of us. I just raised my hand at them, gesturing them not to mind us and continue working. That caught the attention of our mothers and Sophia.
"Raphael! Louise! I am glad you came."
Mother excitedly greeted us as she walked fast toward us. Mom and Sophia were slightly behind. Gabrielle was here right now because she was not feeling well due to her pregnancy.
"It seems like Iris and Christine are with you too," Mom said.
"It's a special day about Raphael. Of course I will attend."
"Thank you for having me today."
"As expected of my future children-in-laws. You are always there for our children."
While the others were greeting, I went for Sophia and wrapped my arms around her with such tightness.
"I miss you, Sophia."
"Me too, Raphael. I have been longing for your return."
Well, it was not like we had not seen each other for quite a while. In fact, we just did the thing nights ago; actually, it was a foursome with Iris and Mom. It was that Christine did not know that my sister, Iris, and I had been secretly visiting them while in the academy, so we had to hide that secret from her.
"Well then, I know that this is a celebration, but I want to tell you in advance that I will be out for a while."
"Where are you going, Raphael?"
"Just in the dungeon and in the forest."
"Okay. Just be quick."
After that, I proceeded to the dungeon.
