Chapter 1456 A New Treasure

Chapter 1456  A New Treasure

Ning took the bangle and looked at it closely. He put it around his wrist, feeling the cold metal on his wrist. He couldn't help but be a little amused by it all.

"So, can I get my treasures in return for this?" she asked.

"1 treasure," Ning said. "A treasure for a treasure. Don't you agree?"

"Please, I need both to do what I do. Without one I cannot—"

"If you continue whining I will take back the offer," Ning said. "One."

The woman felt frustrated and gritted her teeth, but she nodded in the end. "One," she said.

Ning pulled out the necklace and the coin. "Choose which. I'll let you take what you want first," he said.

The woman fell into a dilemma. On one hand, there was the treasures that made her. And on the other hand, there was the treasure that had given her success.

She took a deep breath. She couldn't remain in hiding from her men for too long.

"I'll take the necklace," she said.

Ning raised an eyebrow. "I'm surprised you didn't take the one that gives you luck," he said as he handed back the treasure.

Stillwater took the necklace and put it around herself. As she wore it, she felt as though she had finally stopped being naked and felt a sense of comfort coming from the necklace.

As soon as she wore it, subtle mental charming spread throughout the room, immediately causing everyone to believe she was more attractive than she was.

Only Ning didn't feel this way. Since he knew what was supposed to happen with her wearing the treasure, he had already closed off any emotion he might have gotten out from the treasure being used.

"Is this it?" Ning asked, showing the bangle.

"Yes," The woman said.

"What about the…" he looked at the papers and pulled up Tiffany's information. "This Tiffany. You didn't find her?"

"My men found her, but they failed to capture her. She ended up wounding everyone and running away from where they found her," Stillwater said.

Ning's eyebrows raised a little upon hearing that. "I'm sorry, she took down your men? How many of them were there? Was she alone or did she have friends?"

"I believe 7 of my men found her. You must've seen some of them while coming in," she said. "They tried to capture her, but she ended up wounding them all and running away."

"I'm curious now. How did she do that? Is she supposed to be a strong pirate?" Ning asked.

"Very strong," the man beside Stillwater answered.

"In the entire Rumgrave city, if we are talking about the combat prowess, she comes in at around 3rd," the man said. "Right after Redfist and Yolan."

"Redfist is the strongest?" Jasmine asked.

"His glove makes him an unstoppable monster when he starts fighting," the man answered. "As for Yolan, his treasure does something very weird that we can't understand."

"And this Tiffany comes in third?" Ning asked. "What exactly can she do?"

"It's her Knife treasure," Stillwater said. "Because of her Knife treasure, she has become an unbelievably strong marksmanship, so our men simply ended up losing to her completely."

"I see," Ning said. "I will look forward to meeting her if I can. For now, you should work hard. Succeed quickly, or you might be beaten by us instead."

"Goodbye."

Ning stood up and walked out the door, Jasmine following him quickly behind.

Elisa ran out the door, following the two to take them back to their room.

"Are we leaving so simply?" Jasmine asked. "We could have learned more about the others. That would've made it easier for me and Tim to—"

"You are free to go back and check those documents," Ning said. "I won't stop you. Hey! This is the pirate city of Rumgrave. Everything you do here is lawful, for the law here is the law of the strongest."

Jasmine heard Ning and wanted to go back to Stillwater to check through the documents, but she knew that she wasn't very good at reading just yet, and this was a foreign language on top of that.

She had to be grateful that they spoke something she could understand. Not that she knew why she could understand their language yet. This far away from the other side of the Great Reef, the language should have been completely different.

"Can you ask someone to bring us some coffee?" Ning asked the young girl. "Thank you."

"I'll do that right away," Elisa said and ran back through the door to bring Ning some coffee.

Ning arrived back in the room and watched Tony stretching a little as he exercised after waking up.

"Oh, you guys are back," Tony said. "That was quick. Why were you called?"

Ning tossed the golden bangle to Tony, who hurriedly caught it in midair. Tony looked at the bangle for a moment, not understanding what he was supposed to get from this. However, when he looked at the intricate design that was only visible at close range, he realized that this was not something that could be produced by any human.

That meant, that the bangle in his hand was a treasure.

"No way!" Tony shouted in surprise. "You got another treasure?" He looked around the treasure for half a minute before moving to hand it back to Ning. However, Ning stood there watching the outstretched hand, giving back the bangle, and did nothing.

"What's wrong? Take it," Tony said.

"No," Ning said. "It's for you."

Tony was slightly taken aback. "What am I supposed to do with this? I can't use it," she said. "You should give it to Tim if you want to. He's the only one who can—"

"This treasure's owner is dead," Ning said. "It is currently without its bond. Do you understand what that means?"

Tony stopped altogether, his eyes wide open in shock. "No…" he said, unbelieving. "Are you saying what I think you're saying?"

Ning chuckled. "I thought I spelled it out for you," he said. "That is your treasure. Wear it and see what it does."
