Chapter 1470 Stephen

Chapter 1470  Stephen

Not just Tim and Jasmine, but even Tony was surprised to hear Ning say he didn't know how to defeat the person who had stolen their treasure.

"You… you can't help us?" Jasmine asked, unable to comprehend the situation. How could it be possible that Ning could not deal with something?

"Yeah," Ning said, his eyes lost in thought.

"How are we going to get our treasures back then?" Tim asked. "We have to get it back right?"

"Hmm? Oh yeah, I can get it back for you. There is no worry about that," Ning said. "It's just… I don't know if I can do it normally enough. The treasure this person owns, its a one of a one-of-a-kind treasure."

"He had a good treasure?" Tony asked.

"Extremely good," Ning said. "So much so that I've never had to deal with a power like this before. He's making me question if I even know how to deal with him normally."

Ning had a wide smile on his face as he finally came across something he hadn't had to go against in ever. He had known such a thing was possible, but the possibility of such a thing was mind-numbingly minute.

"This is a very powerful treasure, I tell you," Ning said. "Perhaps the most powerful treasure we have come across yet."

"Stronger than his box?" Jasmine asked.

"It's a very different type of treasure, so you can't judge," Ning said. "But the power that went into making this treasure is nothing sort of miraculous."

He stood up from where he was sitting suddenly. "I believe I must apologize to you two right now. I had only known that man had owned a treasure before we came here, and not what sort of treasure he owned. That was supposed to be a surprise to me as it was to be for you three as well. Never did I think I would be this surprised."

Ning could not hide his smile. "What do we do now?" Tim asked.

"Give me a second. I'm trying to think of a way to deal with him," he said and remained silent for a while before speaking.

"What treasure do you have on you?" Ning asked Tim.

Tim quickly brought out the horn and the eyepatch. "These two," he said.

"Take the horn and hang it on the outside of your body. Let the world see it hang there," Ning said.

Tim frowned. "You want me to freely show people my horn?" he asked.

"Yes," Ning said. "I want it to be stolen. Do not try to stop it from being stolen. It must be stolen."

Tim didn't understand. "What are you saying?" he asked. "Why would you want—"

"Don't question me," Ning cut him off. "This is the only way I can catch your enemy without doing something so outlandish that Zurinus might see me."

Tim was very curious now.

"Go," Ning said. "Do as I say and go to the Pinehouse bar at the end of the street to the right. There are many pirates enjoying their early morning rum. You do that as well."

"Okay," Tim said and did as he was told.

The horn hung on the outside of his waist, freely showing for anyone who wanted to see it.

"You two go with him as well," Ning said. "Act like you are searching for this person. Actually, no. Search for him."

Jasmine nodded and Tony stood up to join them. Then, they left.

Ning sat on the couch after they left, smiling as he thought of other ways he could defeat this person. The easiest way was to just steal away his treasure, but where was the fun in that?

He also needed to see if his plan would work against someone with this sort of power if the power wasn't in a treasure but the person themselves. He needed to practice for that and this was a good practice.

Ning chuckled a little as he thought more about it. "Had the treasure been weaker, I would have had to steal his treasure to win against him. Somehow, it becoming stronger ruins his chances of victory here."

He waited for a while, wondering when Tim and the rest would be done with their things. He had to wait for them to get there and then have their treasures stolen.

He waited and waited and waited, and finally, it happened.

Tim's treasure was stolen and it was by the person he wanted to steal it.

"Here we go."

Ning teleported away.

He arrived in a back alley, standing next to a dumpster, next to which was a man in his late 20s, with a muscular build, wearing dark clothes.

He stepped out from behind the dumpster and paused, surprised to see Ning standing there.

"Hello, Stephen," he greeted the man with a gentle smile.

The man named Stephen looked at Ning with narrowed eyes. "Do I know you?" he asked.

"No, but you have seen me before, haven't you?" he asked. "And I just know who you are because I know who you are."

The man frowned. "I don't know what you want, I'm leaving."

"Sure," Ning said. "As soon as you hand over all the treasures you have. All 4 of them."

"Yeah! Like hell," Stephen said and stared at Ning.

Ning did nothing but just stand there. He didn't even more but just stood still. He wasn't even menacing.

But to Stephen, he was a monster.

"No!" Stephen said. His eyes moved all around, trying to look for any direction he could move to. His eyes flashed rapidly, the expressions on his face changing just as quickly.

He was angry one moment, then scared the next. Then he was frustrated and back to angry.

His emotions were flickering through as quickly as though he was a flashlight being turned on and off rapidly. The face changed quickly and so much that in the end Stephen just fell to the ground, weak to his knees.

He looked at Ning. "Who… who are you?"
