Chapter 1593: The Situation of the World

?

The humans of this world had no issue that Spark couldn't solve.

Want air to breathe? Use Spark. Want to eat and drink? Use Spark. Want to create clothes? Use Spark. Want to fly in Space? Use Spark.

There was nothing in this world that they couldn't do with Spark.

And that brought on a severe lack of growth to the entire human race. There was nothing they had to do to continue to improve. They could just use Spark.

The things that they used in their everyday life, the things that they were very useful to them were actually something that they kept around from a time in the past.

The things they used could be called copies of relics from the past. All they were were a crude imitation of the real stuff, made real by the use of Conversion.

Hell, these people had copied entire Spaceships and made it real using Conversion. They went the extra length to not have to do anything to make it work in some other way.

The DODS system was also something left behind from history, that they didn't understand. They copied it and could make it work, but these people never understood why it worked.

They could never understand as no one had bothered to.

And no one could even begin to learn anything, they needed to get to Spark first. No matter what, Spark was very crucial for life in this world.

Such a stagnating community would sooner or later fall apart if the correct measures were not taken early enough.

The moment Spark disappeared, all of the humans in this world would die, and they never even thought about it.

The problem wasn't that the people didn't think about it, but that the people who did think didn't have any authority in this world. The scholars were under the heels of the soldiers whose leaders governed everything about this tiny world.

This was such a harsh system, and Ning was only beginning to see all of its flaws. There were no doubt many more.

Ning looked at the sky, seeing barely any color on it. The moon had not much of an atmosphere, so there was nothing for the light to scatter on.

'How large is the sun actually?' Ning wondered. Given how large Krimanax was, there was no doubt in his mind that it was large. Could it be one of the largest ones he had seen before?

'No, that one still has to go to that other sun,' he thought as he remembered the time when he spent hundreds of thousands of years staying around that sun doing nothing but improving his body.

It had been so effective.

He looked at his body and gave a sigh. He still had the technique that converted radiations from suns and other large masses in the galaxy, but the improvement they gave him now was far from what he wanted.

The rate was still the same now as it was before. However, what was previously a 20% improvement was now nothing more than a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of his total strength.

He wished there was something better, but unless he used his own energy, it appeared that this was the most he could do.

"It's enough to beat up Constellations. Is it enough to beat up Galaxy wills?" Ning wondered to himself. At the end of the day, no matter how many Constellations he could kill, a Galactic Will was a major deal for him.

Just the fact that they could hide their presence alone was something absolutely terrifying to Ning. Not to mention how very useful he was against the Galactic Will stole him away from Earth for millions of years.

Ning shook his head. He was doing a bit too much thinking on matters that didn't require a lot of thinking. He was just wasting time.

"I should be leaving now," he said to himself and disappeared, arriving back in his room. The current time was early in the morning, just 3 hours before he needed to get to his work as a Lieutenant. Today, however, there was something else he needed to do first.

Ning walked to the under-construction city and found the old man very quickly. It appeared that he got very little sleep during his nighttime as he worked from early to end for a lot of days.

"You have come again?" the old man said in surprise.

"Of course, I am," Ning said. 'I did mention, didn't I?"

"You did," the man said. "But I thought..."

"What did you think?" Ning asked, curious.

"Never mind," the old man said. "So, what is it that you're here for? Please tell me you didn't tell your superiors about this. Am I going to jail?"

"Old man, relax," Ning said. "No one is going to prison. Can you take me to that other place real quick?"

The old man looked around and sighed. "Alright, come with me."

They walked through the city, making their way to the other side where the hidden room was.

"Oh, I sent the report to my higher up, you should be receiving a new supply either today or tomorrow. Whenever they can manage to gather all 1 ton of Spark from their repositories." "Oh, that is excellent news," the old man said, truly happy about the information.

Ning nodded toward the man in understanding. He could see how happy he was.

"Did you take back the Spark?" Ning asked the man.

"I mean, technically yes?" he said. "It's always kept in the same place where we store it. We used it from the same supply, so there is no taking back, exactly."

"Ah! I see," Ning said.

They arrived at the place and the door was opened. After they walked in, Ning looked through the first room and was surprised to see it empty.

"Are the scholars asleep?" he asked.

"No, they should be awake," he said. "They are getting ready to leave now that their work

here has come to an unfortunate end."

"End?" Ning asked, stopping to look at the man. "Who said it was ending?"
