Vol. 5 - Chapter 273 - Brave Style Boot Camp? Best of luck, «Pri-4»!
Mock guild battle was over, and Lana and others members also looked content with the result.
Especially Rika and Karua, there seemed to be something on their mind from the interpersonal battle and had gone to the training ground, putting each other as their opponent after that.
Lana and Shizu directly went back, though I later received a text saying “Let me participate again in another similar event” that reeks of tsundere vibe in the chat. (T/N : Author didn't point out from who but most likely from Shizu)
What a contrast in reception compared to the Quartet.
After their scandalous remark in front of the F-rank guild building as they shouted “Ridiculous!", I pushed the Quartet and Mistao to the training ground and made them go through the training to correct their stances while their body still had the feel left.
Misato didn't have any reason to come but she tagged along saying “That sounds interesting, I'm also coming!”.
My first task was to stop them from only relying on strong skills all the time. We had more or less a promise between us from the guild battle so I pushed them into training saying if they broke their end of promise, I will pull Misato from their guild.
«Best of the Best, the Guild Stra» would be in danger of dissolving if their precious healer Misato was to leave the guild. It should be enough to motivate them I assume.
Because guilds aren't allowed to operate with less than five members.
Besides, they would most likely wash their hands of any chance of letting her join again if they let a talented high-ranking job holder like Misato leave from their guild.
Each member of the «Best of the Best, the Great Star» parroted back “That's tyranny” “You're a fiend” ”deed of a demon” etc, nevertheless, they desperately began with their training.
Incidentally, since they once again spouted harmful rumors, I questioned them saying “So you're going to break the promise?”, then they immediately shut their mouth as they vigorously shook their heads left and right.
I didn't let it out but it kinda felt refreshing to see them in this state.
"H, Hey Misato! You're not wondering about transferring to Eden, do you?"
"«Eden» does have some charm in it if I have to say~."
"I, I beg you Misato-chan, please don't go!"
"You're the only classmate ever who has taken our invitation!"
Everyone turned aghast at the playful words of Misato.
Also Helck-kun's final word stabbed straight through my heart. I quickly covered my mouth with one hand and averted my face.
That was so close. I would have begun to sympathize with them if I hadn't been careful.
I had known that they're calling not just the girls from our class, but also the students from other classes and from their words, it seemed like no one except Misato showed any interest in joining them, let alone checking out their guild.
Of course they would be in panic if even that Misato was pulled to another guild. I am sure I would have leaked out something explosive in my shock.
Well, straight to the point, the threat was super effective it seemed.
They're one of the high-ranking job members and also in the glorious Class-1, I really want them to have at least enough ability to not put a shame to its honor.
......... I just got an idea. Maybe I should be a bit more spartan in my dealing with them?
Following day, Friday.
Today was the day I would make my debut as a ‘Provisional Lecturer’.
‹Brave› Zephyr would take 6 periods of elective classes and will teach about ‘Job Cultivation’.
"Acquiring a job isn't the end. Instead, the time after acquiring a job is the true beginning." ?? ‘by’ the players of ‹Dungeon Activity› who love it more than anyone else in the world. (T/N : By is in english in raw)
Just as the proverb goes, job cultivation was the true beginning.
It has been around half a month since freshmen have gotten their job, and apparently the majority of them have still not reached Lv10. It wasn't too late yet and they're still in the range where they could still raise their job well with the ‹Training manual›.
Because Rabbit-eared Misato had said she also has not yet reached Lv20.
There were still students in ‹Combat Department Year-1 Class-1› who have yet to reach lv20. There's still time.
I will just have to put my lessons into fast forward.
This time, Dean gave me what seemed like advice to not cause anymore disturbance but a little bit should be allowable. Should be.
Let's not forget no matter what route students take to raise their job, they would still need to level up first and changes weren't also not so dramatic that they would cause an imminent change so there's no problem either way.
Now, I wonder how many applicants there are?
After all, while I did apply for the provisional lecturer requesting the procedure to the academy, I had barely made it in the deadline for the selection of elective classes.
Freshmen who wished to transfer to my class could extend the deadline and be able to accept it but there should be a lot of students who have already decided on their elective classes. Heck, I think a majority of them should have already decided on their elective classes.
I regretted that I should have thought of it a bit earlier but that's life for you. ‘Inspiration’ never arrives too late, nor too early, it comes when it's due. (*A proverb someone said <---- this line is author's remark)
Well, I wish there could be at least 20 people in my class. Otherwise my dream to spread the training manual would remain a dream. Bless me~.
"Everything is ready, Zephyr-sama."
"Thanks, Celestine. But are you really fine with working as the assistant of a lecturer? I would rather hope you decide on the class you find interesting."
"There's no such thing like that. It's just my guess but I feel that Zephyr-sama class would be more beneficial than any other class."
My, I think that's a bit too of a statement. All I knew was the knowledge of ‹Dungeon Activity›. I know my knowledge about the practicality of this world wasn't even comparable to a child.
Especially so when I used to skip all the class scenes. It's something even my knowledge bank has to prostrate against.
"Besides, you know. Because I'm Zephyr-sama's attendant. If Zephyr-sama is going to be the lecturer, then I would like to assist you in it."
...... I'm really grateful for his help.
"I see. Thank you, Celestine. Well, let's go now."
"Yes."
I put the teaching materials prepared into the ‹Item Bag (Capacity: Small)› and headed for the class I was in charge of with Celestine.
