Chapter 126: Erica

Albert was sitting in front of Erica, who seemed to have anticipated his arrival. She had even prepared him tea before he even came.

Albert took a sip of the tea and looked into her eyes. "I'm preparing to leave this place."

"I understand." Erica nodded in understanding before raising two fingers. "A few days ago, Her Majesty had informed me about your situation. She gave me two choices. I can either stay here or follow you.

"If I choose the latter, I'll replace the manager there and can continue to help you," Erica explained her circumstances with a smile.

"And your choice?" Albert asked. He didn't know whether he should be happy if Erica chose that option or not.

On the one hand, it was good to have someone familiar to help you in a new town. On the other hand, he felt he had destroyed Erica's freedom.

It was clear that their relationship was a business partner. There shouldn't be any deep meaning to it.

Erica smiled and gave her answer. "I'll give those choices to you, Sir. At the end of the day, you're my primary reason whether I should go with you or not."

"You're not sad that you're going to leave this place?"

"After adventuring for so long, I've gotten used to moving from one place to another. Though, I would be lying if I said I wasn't sad. I need to leave the people here after all.

"Still, this doesn't change the fact that you're the priority. If you are bored with me dealing with you, I shouldn't displease you by forcing myself to go there. If you like me to go there because it's easier for you to talk to me, then we should move together.

"That's why I believe Sir Albert's opinion matters the most," Erica explained her reasoning.

"I have completely destroyed your freedom."

She shook her head. "Please don't think of it that way."

He stared at her face for two minutes, realizing that Erica had no plan to change her opinion.

"Well, you should stay here then."

"May I know the reason? Have I displeased you in any way?"

"No. You sound like you love this town, so I shouldn't take it away from you. Instead, I would like you to help me in watching over my place. Of course, I've dealt with this problem, so you don't need to look over it every day or so." Albert scratched the back of his head. "How should I say this…"

"Haha." Erica chuckled. "Don't worry. I'll just make sure that your building is not torn apart or robbed by others. Isn't that what you want?"

"Yeah, that!" Albert pointed his finger with a nod.

"It's fine. That's not much of a work for me. I usually take a walk once a week. So, I might as well go around your house to make sure everything is right."

"Thank you so much. If you need my help, please come to me. I'll help as long as I can do it." josei

Erica had been helping him this whole time, so he thought it was right for him to repay her. That was why he made this promise.

"Haha, without you knowing it, you've helped me this whole time. Because I'm the one who has been dealing with you, I've received a promotion from the kingdom, so you shouldn't feel guilty." Erica chuckled.

Albert couldn't help but smile. He then rose from his seat and said, "I guess it's time for me to return."

"Yes." Erica also rose from her seat before bowing her head. "Sir Albert. It's my pleasure to be working with you this whole time. I'll also forward your information to the manager in Seika Town."

"How do you know I'm going to Seika Town?" Albert widened his eyes.

"We know that Prince Yale is hunting around that place and your butler is moving around to find some information."

"Ahaha…" Albert nodded. "I guess nothing can be hidden from the Lust Kingdom."

"We take pride in our information network. So, if you need some information, just go to the manager and ask for it. Depending on the severity of that information, she'll surely help you. Well, Her Majesty should have instructed her."

"I see." Albert thought for a moment and took out ten Magic Essence from his bag, handing it to Erica. "This is not much, but you should take this. I'm going to deliver the first one hundred potions through you within three days. After that, I'll leave this town."

"I understand. I'll be looking forward to the delivery day."

"Alright. Goodbye." Albert walked toward the door.

When his hand reached the handle, Erica called his name again. "Sir Albert."

Albert halted and glanced at her.

Erica offered her best smile and said, "I wish you the best of luck and hope that fortune blesses you with its presence."

Albert smiled and opened the door.

Before leaving, he uttered, "Thank you for everything, Erica."

Clack.

Albert left the room and returned to the Horny Jail.

After so long, he was finally alone again. No one was waiting for him in the Horny Jail other than the pixies. Hence, he just holed himself inside his room.

To his surprise, he heard someone opening the door when no one was supposed to come back.

He took a peek and saw Irena coming back from her mission.

"Master?" Irena seemed to have noticed him as well and changed her direction. As soon as she stood before him, she respectfully bowed her head. "I've finished my mission, Master."

This was a kind of test for Albert. What was the extent of trust he could give to Irena? There was no way for him to know whether Irena finished the job or not. Even Bonkey confirmed that such a function wasn't opened for him yet.

So, Albert took a deep breath and came out. "Well, let's talk in the waiting room. I'm going to give you your reward there as well."

"Understood, Master.." She nodded with a serious expression as the two walked to the waiting room.
