Chapter 184: A Teacher And A Father
After a lot of convincing, Yale finally calmed down and agreed with Albert's arrangement. Since they had time, they could do it this way.
"I understand, Teacher. I shall focus on getting stronger" Yale nodded before looking down with a sad expression. His heart was torn because this happened to Renee because of him.
Albert could also understand his thought and assured him again.
"If possible, I would like to take this chance to set on my journey, Teacher." Even though he had agreed with Albert's proposal, he was still adamant in rescuing Renee.
"Renee's current situation shouldn't be a problem right now and if you actually kidnap them, the Gluttony Kingdom will be able to have you accountable. Hence, it's better to win the bet."
"But who likes to see his woman being a merchandise?" Yale gritted his teeth.
Albert fell silent for a moment and realized his mistake. "I see It seems I've a bit of a distorted perspective"
"Eh? No, no. It's not like I'm denying Teacher's opinion. It's true that Teacher's way is the best one, but I still don't like it to see Renee being a merchandise." Yale gritted his teeth.
Albert thought for a moment and turned to Luna. "There is something I want to ask Lilith Can you tell her to prepare at least thrice the amount for this auction?"
"Mhm?" Luna raised her eyebrows, not understanding Albert's intention.
"Teacher?" Even Yale couldn't follow him. He just shared how he hated to see Renee as a merchandise, but his teacher actually wanted to increase the price.
"We can simply pay an absurd amount so that it doesn't look like he's buying Renee. Instead, we will make it look like he will propose to her in the auction with the gold coins being the bride price. The auction is the third party that mediates the proposal." Albert smiled.
"Huh?" Yale dropped his jaw in shock. If the price was five thousand, he would buy her with fifteen thousand That kind of money would surely change the meaning. After all, he wasn't competing against anyone. He destroyed all his competitors.
Still, it wasn't easy to take out so many gold coins at once.
Albert ignored Yale's reaction and simply said to Luna. "Just tell Lilith I need that money and send the money to the town where the auction is being held. Yale will take that amount to propose to Renee and immediately go back here before the Gluttony Kingdom can do any political moves Ah, I hate that.
"Just tell them that if my achievement is not enough, she can consider it a loan." Albert sighed.
"Y-yes." Luna didn't understand the reason Albert did it, but taking those many Gold Coins out wasn't easy. However, Lilith already told her she needed to fulfill all his wishes and consulted to her if the wish was too big. In the end, she could only agree to this and plan to tell the queen.
After getting an agreement, Albert turned around and patted Yale's head. "Listen here. Since you want to go on a journey, I will find a few spells that suit you first. I'll teach you all those spells so that you can grow even stronger in this journey.
"I'm sure two months are enough for you to master these spells as well as consolidating your fighting skill because of the absurd power up.
"After that, you shall go to the auction and propose to her. Of course, you need to bring her to me right after so that I can see what kind of woman can make my Yale fall in love this badly.
"I am not good at politics like you because I'm just a simple man. And because I'm like this that I know one thing for certain I want you to be happy too, Yale. I'm your teacher, so let me do my part first." Albert made a big smile, brightening the atmosphere.
This smile stunned everyone in the meeting room. Even Yale's mouth opened without him realizing it as he looked at Albert in awe.
The memories they shared in the past few months flashed in his mind.
At first, Albert felt like a servant that he took in simply because he was curious of him. However, that soon changed into a friend figure.
Despite becoming his teacher, Albert acted like a friend that they could share fun experiences with. From bonking people to learning spells, such memories wouldn't disappear from his mind.
After Albert became stronger than him, he started seeing Albert as an older brother figure who protected him from his enemies.
But at this time, the word 'teacher' stuck in his mind, reminding him of another figure. It was a father figure.
Not only Albert protected him from any dangers, but he was also supportive in his every action.
This was the first time Albert felt so reliable and mature in his eyes. Yale didn't know why, but tears started to come out of the corner of his eyes.
Without hesitation, Yale suddenly jumped to him and gave him a big hug, letting out all his emotion. "Teacher Teacher"
Albert was stunned at first but seeing Yale's cry melted his heart. He started gently patting his back and stroking his hair to calm him. A gentle smile appeared on his face.
Silently, Albert turned his head around while winking his right eye to Luna, signaling her to leave.
Of course, Luna understood Albert's intention. He never wanted to throw her out of the house.
Luna bowed her head with a smile, excusing herself. Since she had gotten Albert's answer in this matter, she should relay his message to Lilith.
Still, she could see how caring and loving Albert was to his disciple. This was also worth reporting.
On the contrary, Bepe left without even Albert's request. In fact, he already went to the kitchen to prepare some drinks to calm Yale down. As expected from Butler Bepe, he was so reliable.
"Teacher I'm glad to have you as my teacher," said Yale while burying his face in Albert's chest. After all, Yale was still ten years old.
"Haha, I'm honored to hear that. I'm also grateful to have you as my student." Albert smiled.
"Un." Yale gently nodded and continued, "Thank you for doing everything for me I'd said this before, but I'll say it again.
"Even if the world betrays Teacher, I'll stand by your side. Even if no one helps me, my mind and heart won't waver. If the world kills Teacher, then I'll destroy the world to avenge you. Even if I need to go to the deepest part of hell, I won't hesitate." Yale tightened his hug, showing his determination and feeling.
Albert never expected to hear these words from a ten years old kid. If it was on Earth, a kid like Yale would still be playing with his friends outside.
Albert patted his head a few times and said, "All I want is just to see you happy. That's all."
Yale smiled.
After Yale calmed down, Albert let him prepare for his next journey as he immediately headed to the Magic Shop to find a few spells to aid Yale on his journey.
With the overwhelming Bonk Bites he had received when dealing with the soldiers, Albert started his shopping spree.
He bought five 5-Star Spells, three 6-Star Spells, and one 7-Star Spell since he needed to save some Bonk Bites to learn the runes that Lilith planned to give him.
The five 5-Star Spells were Bonk Wind Blast (Wind), Anger of Bonk (Dark), Anti-Horny Blink (Space), Bonk Dragon (Lightning), and Anti-Horny Step (Light).
As for his 6-Star Spells, they were Magic Bat Missile (Fire), Bonkquake (Earth), and Bonknado (Wind). But the most terrifying would be his 7-Star Spell, it was called Bonk Intent Release (Neutral).
After understanding all these spells, he taught Yale four spells. The first one was Anger of Bonk since it was the upgraded version of his Bonk Blessing. Then, he also taught him Raging Bonk Release since he was worried he would meet someone too strong. At the very least, this spell should be able to increase his chance to escape or defeat his opponent.
As for the last two, they were Anti-Horny Step and Bonk Dragon. The Anti-Horny Step was to improve Yale's movement ability while the Bonk Dragon increased his overall offensive ability. With the addition of Bonk Restrain (Dark) and Bonk Sacrament (Light), Yale was good to go.
He planned to teach the others, but since Yale was more important for the time being, he focused on him for the next four days.
After understanding a bit of the spells, Yale finally finished his study.
They were standing in front of the city's gate.
Albert waved his hand and smiled, encouraging Yale. "I'm looking forward to seeing my student's wife Make sure you come back quick, okay?"
"I know, Teacher."
"Don't forget you are going to prepare for your graduation as soon as you come back." Albert smirked.
"I know, I know."
Albert chuckled and patted his shoulder a few times. "Alright. See you in two months."
With a big smile on his face, Yale waved back while walking forward.. "See you in two months, Teacher. I won't disappoint you!"
