Nelly’s POV.

“Come with me,” Aisha said, tugging at my arm. “You need to see it by yourself.”

My heart was in my throat as | followed her, my mind spinning with a million thoughts. What could she possibly want to tell me? But as | turned back to face Aisha, | noticed something out of the corner of my eye. Astel was standing a few feet away, his hands clenched into fists and his eyes downcast. | couldn’t help but feel a twinge of satisfaction. He had hurt me, and now he was getting a taste of his own medicine.

“Can | steal my mate?” Kex asked, grinning.
