Returning From The Magic World

Chapter 150 Isla's Decision

Chapter 150 Isla's Decision

"I knew you were ready..." Arthur was not taken aback by her words.

When the Anderson Family discovered Luke's death, they would definitely be suspicious and investigate people Luke had just met like Isla.

This doesn't mean they can do everything, but an individual will have a hard time dealing with them.

Arthur could help with this, but it wasn't the choice because he wanted her to help him in America, not here.

Then, he stood up, walked over to the desk where there were piles of books.

Under Isla's confused gaze, he picked up a notebook, tore off a piece of paper before picking up a pen.

He started writing, pretty quickly.

A curious Isla finally stood up and approached him.

When she saw what he wrote, she frowned because she really didn't understand what was written even though she could read it.

"What's that?" she asked.

"Look!" Arthur threw the paper in the air.

However, instead of falling, it suddenly floated up.

Isla had originally thought it was because the paper was being pushed by the wind or something, but apparently, even after a minute, it still hadn't fallen off.

"T-this is, what did you do to that paper?" Her confusion increased drastically, something that very rarely appeared on her face.

Of course, Arthur used his spiritual energy to envelop the paper.

Right after Isla asked, something suddenly appeared on the paper. It was a shadow, possessing a human-like figure. At first it was small but grew large with time and eventually became human-sized.

Whoosh!

It moved on the wall, circling the room before disappearing completely.

What happened was that Arthur purposely displayed the power of the spell, an example of the power that the one who mastered the spell would have.

"You?" Isla's face froze at that

"That's what I rely on, magic," said Arthur without changing his expression at all.

To him, magic was a very ordinary thing, showing it was no different from showing his own face.

"There's my cell phone number on the paper, call me if you agree," he added before taking a step out of the room.

Silently, he placed his spiritual bird into the woman's body.

Isla's friends who were still in the living room seemed to heave a sigh of relief when they saw Arthur coming out of Isla's bedroom in neat clothes, at least it showed that there was nothing strange there.

Not that they minded seeing Arthur have a special relationship with Isla. However, going too fast also made them uncomfortable. They had known Isla for a very long time, some from elementary school and had no shortage of crushes on her despite the fact that she had been spying on them.

Since Isla was such a preeminent woman in their community, there was a kind of adoration towards her, perhaps out of awe.

If they weren't liberal westerners, they would probably be angry to see Isla choosing a man as a partner. Such is the case in Asian countries where famous celebrities are prohibited from starting romantic relationships by their own agencies because it can cause their popularity to drop dramatically.

"Wait!" Suddenly Isla's voice echoed from within the room, startling the people in the living room.

Arthur who had not yet passed through the door stopped and looked back.

"Please wait a little longer," Isla told him.

"Have you made up your mind yet?" asked Arthur.

In the end, he closed the door again so Isla's friends who just breathed a sigh of relief opened their mouths again.

"Arthur, is this for real?" asked Isla.

"Isn't that obvious?" Arthur responded with a smile.

Isla who opened her lips was unable to speak. She looked at the paper again and then sat down on the bed.

"I'm confused, how can you share this so easily?" she said.

"Well, if you have 1 Million Euros, do you mind the 1 Euro variety?" Arthur replied with an easy simile.

"So this is only worth 1 Euro in your eyes?" Isla seemed not to know whether to laugh or cry.

"Everyone who followed me got one method that suited them each," Arthur replied.

"Including your aunt?"

Arthur didn't expect her to immediately mention his aunt when making a comparison.

However, he nodded. "My aunt has even become a magus, she is strong enough to defeat dozens of strong men."

"It's shadow magic, right? Why do you think it suits me? I mean, can't you give me something strong, like fire or a sword? — The shadow is more like the identity of the dark figure."

"Haha, no kidding." Arthur couldn't help but laugh.

"You're not rejecting your true identity, are you?" he asked.

"Ehnmm…" Isla cleared her throat, slightly embarrassed. "Then what do you want me to do?"

"Considering you could do things like spy on your friends and neighbors when you were so young, you should be doing a lot more than that in America, right? Well, I want you to keep doing it so that a new power awakens there."

Isla's eyes dropped when she heard that. She seems to think.

"Right, you must be very skilled, is there something in my body right now, something that can make me speechless about this?" She wondered, looking down at her hands.

Arthur didn't argue, showing a smile that said it was true.

"Okay, I'll help you!" Isla finally nodded.

"Good luck to you, your opponent in America is more difficult than here," said Arthur.

"I hope you can cheer me up on a regular basis." Isla laughed lightly.

"So you also need something like that?"

"It's natural, we women want support from someone," Isla replied.

"You look like Amanda now."

Isla, "..."

"Arthur!" After a few minutes of silence, Isla suddenly called out Arthur's name.

The latter found her gaze a bit odd.

And right after that, she suddenly closed in on him to the point where her feet brushed against his.

"I want to hug you for a while, can that be?" she asked.

What was going on and why wasn't something Arthur could confirm. However, a hug from a beautiful woman wouldn't be a bad thing, so he nodded.

Seeing that he didn't mind, Isla immediately moved. Each of her hands slipped through his waist before embracing it and then she rested her head on his shoulder while her hair was facing his face. It gave off the sweet fragrance of jasmine, soft and subtle so that Arthur felt comfortable when he breathed.

"It's comforting when you're feeling down," Isla said, still with her head resting on Arthur's shoulder. It seemed she was feeling an uncomfortable sensation after plotting an assassination.

Arthur didn't feel the slightest bit of sexual desire from her either, only a desire for warmth and serenity.
