Chapter 187 Drink The Potion
Chapter 187 Drink The Potion
After giving the order, Amanda walked into the shop, which had a dark glass door.
Arthur followed her while Lin and Kaiya ordered the employees who were already prepared to manage the shop.
The inside of the shop was quite luxurious, the floor was made of white marble with black lines that looked like paintings.
There were rows of long wooden tables with little glass cases on them.
"What do you think?" Amanda asked Arthur. "We'll put the agarwood in these glass cases!"
"This is great!" Arthur nodded as he looked around.
Currently, three men were carrying the wooden chest into the shop. They looked a bit confused as to where to put it.
Currently, it did not emit a fragrant scent inside as Arthur used his power to seal it. The fragrant scent would only appear if the wooden chest was opened.
Amanda then signaled for them to place it beside her.
"Boss, what's in this chest?" Lin couldn't contain her curiosity anymore so she asked.
"Let's see," Amanda replied with a faint smile.
She then opened the wooden chest, revealing rows of agarwood branches inside.
"Mm!" Lin and the others were immediately surprised, not because they saw a row of strange wood, but because of the fragrant scent that instantly filled the store room.
It was as if the place had become a garden of paradise.
"Wh-what is this?" Kaiya looked around in confusion, as she searched for the source of the fragrance.
She certainly wasn't thinking because of those small wooden branches. However, she wasn't stupid either. The scent had only appeared since the wooden crate was opened, so she quickly became suspicious.
"A-are these woods the source of this scent?" Lin asked first.
Amanda smiled slightly, looking pleased as she watched their reactions.
"A new type of agarwood branch, emitting a fragrant aroma without burning, this is what we're going to sell. First, put each of them into each of those glass cases!" Amanda explained and gave orders.
"Right!" She then looked at Kaiya. "I sent a file to your email, make it a book similar to a magazine."
The file actually contained ways of taking care of the aloes, something written by Arthur.
After giving orders to Kaiya, Amanda pulled Arthur's hand into a corner.
"How much do you think we should sell each agarwood for?" she asked.
This was something they discussed often, but until now no decision had been made.
Of course, the main purpose of this wasn't just money. Arthur had thought about it many times.
He replied, "the important thing is that the price is premium, showing that it's an item that not everyone can have. However, the main goal is still for these agarwoods to spread as quickly as possible. I also don't want one person to have too many because if there are two aloes in the same place, it will slow down their development because they have to share the spiritual energy around them."
"I see, the point is for all rich people to have them," said Amanda.
"Yeah, I'm sure you can organize everything, something I can't do," Arthur replied. He was indeed a Great Magus, but he was not a merchant.

After all the shop business was done, Arthur went back to his aunt's house.
It wasn't empty of course. The woman, Isabel was relaxing in the living room watching TV.
Seeing Arthur, she immediately showed a cynical expression.
"You're getting disobedient, aren't you? I told you to come home at night, but you only came home at noon," she said in a sarcastic tone.
It was something Arthur expected. He didn't respond to that or make excuses. Instead, he placed the potion bottles in front of her.
"What are these?" She asked with a furrowed brow.
As a magus, she could sense the strong spirituality within the bottles.
"Try drinking one bottle, it can help you to the next stage," Arthur told her.
"Seriously? Did you make it with those mushrooms?"
"Yeah, it's a really good potion, give one to Carla too," Arthur replied.
Isabel picked up one of the bottles and opened it. The aroma quickly entered her nose and it caused a lightning bolt to flash in her eyes.
"Good, I'll drink it now," she said, looking excited.
She stood up and went to the stairs.
Arthur shook his head. He looked around but didn't find Carla, he wasn't sure where she was.
In the end, he took the bottles to his room, planning to hand one to Carla later.
He himself planned to consume one bottle.
It might still not be enough to turn him into an Official Magus, but his strength would still increase drastically.
Sitting on the mattress, he opened the bottle. Without waiting a moment, he drank the potion inside. This one had a less than pleasant taste, but he finished it in one gulp.
"Mm!" He dropped the bottle and immediately closed his eyes.
He might not need to understand the spell anymore, but integrating the potion's energy with his Spiritual Core still required a great deal of focus.
At this moment, the potion's energy flowed into every cell in his body, not just his Spiritual Core.
It fused with his entire body, increasing his physical strength significantly.
Even as his body shook, the air around him shook as well.
Of course, most of the energy still went to his Spiritual Core whose color was constantly changing.
It took many hours. When he finished, he found it was already late afternoon, around 5 PM.
Phew!
The first thing he did was sigh. He was a bit sweaty, but the sweat was rather fragrant, as if it blended with the perfume.
Then, he looked down at his palms and smiled contentedly.
With his current level of strength, even shooting him would be something very, very difficult. Only high-velocity bullets can hit his body and that's only if he's off guard.
"Arthur, are you inside?" Suddenly he heard Carla's voice outside his bedroom door.
She had indeed just come home, Arthur could sense her presence from the moment she entered the courtyard. It seemed she was working out today, probably at a GYM.
