Chapter 259 Japan
Chapter 259 Japan
Arthur and the others took Samuel and Anton out of the park through a difficult path.
It led to a pristine river where there were trees all around.
Preparation could be said to be lacking, but Arthur didn't run out of ways.
Arriving in front of the river, he chanted in a low voice.
Rumble!
The river rumbled and a water passage appeared there, surprising Carla and the others, not to mention Anton.
"This can't be wrong, right?" Bella wondered, remembering about the ancient legend where the sea split.
Although what she saw was slightly different, there were some similarities.
Arthur didn't respond, he stepped into the water passage while signaling the others to follow.
It leads to the bottom of the river which is actually very deep, probably about eight meters deep.
"We're not out of breath, are we?" Bella wondered once again while looking up.
After she and the others entered the water passage, the top was immediately covered.
Of course, there was air under the river because it was open before, but Bella wasn't sure about the quality of the air after the river was closed.
"Have you forgotten your own magic?" Carla suddenly said.
She was still quite calm.
Hearing her words, Bella tapped her forehead.
"Damn, my brain is not working," she said.
It wasn't really her brain that was malfunctioning, she just hadn't fully adapted to a life full of wonders and nonsense.
She chanted her wind spell, then pointed her hand forward.
Whoosh!
Instantly, a cold wind filled the space below the river, making the air cool and fresh.
Nova observed Bella's magic, occasionally looking into her eyes with her lips pressed together.
Now that she had calmed down, there was a feeling of resentment that Bella had previously played her with words so that her secret with Arthur was revealed.
Meanwhile, Arthur placed Samuel and Anton on the ground in a sitting position.
Anton looked around curiously, seemingly intrigued by this world under the river, he seemed desperate to deal with Arthur and left everything that would happen to fate.
Only Samuel was still looking at Arthur. The man's lips were open and pressed together, it was obvious that he was still in a state of shock.
"What do you want to say?" Arthur asked.
"I admit defeat," Samuel replied.
"Are you still insisting on choosing not to answer my questions?" Arthur reminded him of his earlier words that even if he lost, it didn't mean he could be forced to speak.
Despite having such thoughts, Samuel found he was not prepared.
It wasn't that he was afraid of dying, but that feeling of intimidation had more or less made him view Arthur as a lofty existence, an existence that his instincts told him to obey.
"If I answer all your questions, what will you do to me then?" In the end, he asked the result after all.
This showed that he was starting to compromise.
"I haven't thought about it yet, depending on the situation. Maybe I'll let you go." Arthur replied.
Samuel's mouth opened suddenly after he heard Arthur's answer.
What he said gave the impression as if he didn't really care about him.
As a proud man, who once thought that if the world was in a state of chaos, he would be the one to take on an important role, this kind of treatment was enough to make him uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, that feeling of intimidation was still in his heart so he didn't dare say anything to protest.
"First, I'd like to know where you got the knight training method from?" Arthur, on the other hand, started asking questions.
From Samuel's expression, he thought the old man had given up completely.
"It's a family legacy, from ancient times," he replied.
"I see!"
Arthur grabbed his chin and picked up a large stone at the bottom of the river.
He placed it behind him before sitting on it.
"How much do you know about this world?" He asked again.
The question this time made Carla, Bella, and Nova including Anton stare at Samuel, waiting for his answer.
The latter, on the other hand, glanced left and right before sighing.
"I think I know a lot of things, but there are also a lot of things that confuse me," he replied.
"Oh!" Arthur looked into his eyes so deeply that they trembled.
"I know about the Werewolves and their war with those who want to enter the earth. However, I don't know any more details than that." Samuel said.
Unfortunately, he got a waving response from Arthur.
"I already know about that, there's no need to discuss it."
He glanced at Nova, reminding him that the woman was a werewolf, so she knew more things about them than he did.
Samuel looked at Nova and smiled wryly.
"Well, I'm sure the next information is very useful. About Japan, there were many spiritual power users during the second world war, that's why they were so dominating at the time. However, what happened to them after the war is still unknown today. They suddenly disappeared and the western world was able to control Japan."
"Wait, what?" Bella and the others were stunned when Samuel talked about Japan.
"It's real, I've faced them, they consist of Samurai and Ninja," Samuel added.
"Then you ran away?" Bella guessed the next outcome.
"Uhmm!" Samuel smiled in embarrassment when that was reminded.
"There are many of them, after all," he said.
"No other information about them?" asked Arthur.
Samuel shook his head. "Until now I've heard nothing. But that's also because it's been a long time since I went to Asia, so I can't confirm anything. However, the rumor is that their disappearance is related to the God Eye Organization."
"They?" Arthur narrowed his eyes.
This was a bit hard to come by, how would that mortal organization scheme against a group of people with spiritual power. Plus, in that era, they shouldn't have had Evolvers yet.
'That organization is very deep. On the surface, they don't seem to have any spiritual power users, but maybe in the depths, who knows.' Arthur thought.
"Well, how much do you know about the Organization?" Arthur asked.
This old man had lived a long time, involved with many events, he thought he should know some things.
