Chapter 46 Business Plan
Chapter 46 Business Plan
?Arthur agreed to Amanda's offer of lunch since he was quite hungry as well.
While they were having lunch, the people in the office were quite excited because Amanda, who as far as they knew, had never had a special relationship with a man, had actually welcomed a man, even invited him to lunch.
This might not have been enough to get them into a prolonged discussion, but Arthur's age was something else. He's too young, plus, he even calls Amanda girl.
People couldn't help but wonder if he had some background, but considering Amanda's own, even men her age from super elite families shouldn't have the qualifications to call her a girl.
"Or maybe he doesn't really have the background so he can act freely enough?" Some of Amanda's employees thought differently and many others agreed.
"However, without any background, how could he be in contact with the boss?" Some still have a question that makes them confused.
"Well, maybe he's the lucky kind, getting the boss' affection, really unexpected ah, the boss seems to like younger ones."
"Nonsense!"

After lunch, Amanda and Arthur entered the executive's special elevator, going up to the top floor.
"Is there something you'd like to discuss?" Arthur asked Amanda as the elevator moved upwards.
During lunch, they hadn't chatted about why she had invited him here, so he was asking now.
Ding!
The elevator stopped a moment later and the door opened, revealing a room with a reception desk.
Kaiya sat behind the desk, reading documents.
She looked into the elevator and was surprised to see Amanda with Arthur.
As Amanda exited the lift she answered Arthur's question. "I want us to talk about our business, how we are going to run it, whether we are going to set up a new company in your name or through mine where you will give us a few percent commission."
"Not that I've never thought of this," Arthur replied.
The two of them passed Kaiya without greeting her and then entered the flower-carved door beside the reception desk.
Behind that door, there is a room that is quite spacious, divided into several areas from the workplace, a place to welcome guests, a place to relax while enjoying city views, and two doors which may be the bathroom and bedroom doors.
Amanda directed Arthur to the couch while she went to the desk, picking up what looked like a magazine before following him to the couch.
She placed the magazine she was carrying in front of him and said, "This is my company profile."
Arthur only glanced at the magazine, did not pick it up. Even though he didn't know much, he still knew the basics of this company because it was one of the biggest local companies in the city.
It is called Aura Company, a publicly listed company which has a market capitalization of around 20 Billion Euros. The Nelson family owns 95% of the shares, increasing a lot since Amanda took the helm, the rest is owned by the public through the capital market.
This is no different from the family's private company. Selling a bit of stock to the public is basically just to increase its value.
Its main business is fashion, from clothing, bags, to jewelry.
They also started to make various beauty products, but have not really developed.
"So what's your choice?" Amanda asked.
"If everything is left to your company, are you prepared for the various problems that will come?" Arthur asked back.
Setting up a new company in his name was too flashy, and it was also out of place since his aunt was a congresswomen. When the business becomes big, she will get a lot of criticism.
Plus, what he wanted was nothing more than money and carrying out his plans, not reputation and such. As long as those two things were met, the other would no longer matter.
The problem is; Can Amanda bear it all alone?
The woman smiled and replied, "if you weren't a magus with mysterious powers, I would have thought a thousand times about running a business like this. However, you are a magus, why should I worry? I'm sure you won't be quiet when some people come to mess around."
"Of course I'll help you if something like that happens, but what if it's done by another magus?"
Arthur studied her expression after asking that question. However, she was apparently still able to calm down.
"I naturally thought of that, even discussing it with my sister yesterday," she replied.
"Oh..." Arthur showed an interested expression while she continued. "There's certainly a lot to worry about, but seeing as you can share spells so easily, I believe you're greatly superior compared to the others. If others were like you, there might be many elites who possess magical powers, but the fact is they don't. Plus, your methods are also quite unfathomable, something that I'm sure no other magus is capable of."
"So you believe that I'm on the superior side? You've never even seen any other magus."
"I think they are not as capable as you, even if they are stronger, their knowledge is not as much as yours. You yourself say your knowledge of magic is more than all that on earth."
"Your mind and courage are commendable." Arthur smiled while leaning back on the sofa after hearing all of Amanda's words.
"However," he continued. "The magi aren't the only ones you need to worry about, you might not know, but science on earth can already create superhumans, some must be quite troublesome."
"Are you serious?" This information so clearly shocked Amanda that she gave Arthur a serious look.
"Three people from the military yesterday, they are superhuman," Arthur replied. "Don't look that I could take one of them down easily at that time, but the strength I used at that time was enough to crush an ordinary human's shoulder."
Amanda seemed to be recalling yesterday's scene and she took a deep breath.
"This is something that is not good for the order of life, fortunately I met you first," she said.
The reason why it's not good is obviously because the controller can end up dominating everything else.
"However, are they able to turn everyone into a superhuman?" Amanda asked with narrowed eyes.
Arthur shook his head. "It's not that easy, of course, their numbers are limited enough to change the order of life. But of course, their controllers can practically claim to be the unofficial king."
