Chapter 639 - ?Great Insurrection Heavenly Scripture?
Zhong Yue sat in the lotus position, the Yin and Yang lines flew out around him and formed various marvellous symbols in the sky as he started a new round of calculations.
This was his own unique art of divination. The solid Yang lines and dashed Yin lines formed a binary system that gave rise to the eight all-encompassing symbols known as the Eight Trigrams. The Eight Trigrams were an octal-numeral system that represented every element in a universe; thus allowing him to derive the end result from a permutation of known precursor facts.
It didn’t take long for the symbols around him to multiply to over billions in number.
It took nearly ten thousand years for the old Creator to come out of this seal-breaking art. It was incredibly complex and the knowledge contained within was beyond something any living being could derive without a million years of study.
However, although it would still take over ten thousand years for Zhong Yue to create a seal-breaking art of the same grade even with his calculatory art, it only required a few days for him to fully learn one.
The seal-breaking art imparted to him by the old Creator was named the?Mystic Dao Breaker?, a mystical art specialized in breaking apart any and all seals.
However, having the experience of cultivating the?Sui Sovereign Flame Order Palace Visualization Art?and with the help of the Yin Yang lines, Zhong Yue had the confidence that he could easily learn it in just three days!
Billions of symbols revolved around him and were still increasing in number; simulating countless transformations in the art every second!
The simulation occurred in four-dimensions, with time and space included. Even as its creator Zhong Yue was still just learning and getting the hang of it.
One head was far too inadequate to handle the flood of information flowing in his mind, he had to grow more heads to manage the immense workload.
Inside of the prison cell, the old Creator’s eyes brimmed with a strange light as he started to try and imitate Zhong Yue’s divination art. However, as his simulation progressed further and its complexity exponentially increased, the old Creator’s lack of knowledge in the time and space totem patterns left him unable to catch up with Zhong Yue.
Qiu Jin’er sat beside Zhong Yue, protecting the perimeter while trying to find a way to awaken her Innate True Spirit.
All of a sudden, the old Creator’s psyche billowed over and turned into voice in her head, “Little girl, are you an Innate Wood Spirit Body?”
Qiu Jin’er opened her eyes and nodded.
“Dull cultivation won’t awaken your Innate Wood True Spirit.” The old Creator coldly said, “Are the two of you a couple? But frankly speaking, you are far too weak when compared to him. Even though you are still here by his side, at your current pace, you will fall too far behind sooner or later. One day, you will realize that he is already worlds apart from you, and that no matter how hard you try, or how much effort you put in, the distance between you two will only increase. Soon enough, he will only exist as a memory to you.”
Qiu Jin’er shuddered, the old Creator’s words dug at one of her deepest fears, bringing it up and laying it bare before her eyes.
The fear of falling behind Zhong Yue had stayed with her since back in the Ancestral Star. She was afraid that one day, she would be left behind due to her incompetence to follow up to Zhong Yue’s incredible rate of improvement. That’s why she had been seizing every chance to improve herself, pouring in every ounce of effort every day.
“Your foundation is fine, but the lack of certain elements limits your future achievements. For example, you didn’t reverse open the secret realms nor did you cultivate the Six Paths Wheel. The lack of these two extreme states alone is already posing a ceiling to your cultivation. You are already a scrap metal that can only be returned back to the furnace—to reincarnate and start all over again.”
The old Creator’s eyes were filled with excitement while his tone remained ruthless, every word he spoke was like an arrow that pierced right through her heart, breaking every piece of her mind and soul, “But you are just a helpless girl in this Six Paths World, do you really think you will be reincarnated as an innate spirit body again in your next life? If you don’t even have an innate spirit body, how do you think you can even catch up to him? Also, are you sure you can awaken your memories of this life? If you can’t, then you won’t even remember him. Not to mention, after you’ve reincarnated, you will have a whole new identity, a new body, and a new face that he won’t even recognize! Let’s say you somewhat manage to overcome all of this, what if you are reincarnated as a male? Now I’m not one to judge, but do you think he will accept a male as his lover? That being said, you and him do not share any destiny!”
Qiu Jin’er’s countenance turned pale as a mouthful of blood that combusted ghostly fire in front of her whose light reflected in her teary eyes.
Whereas the old Creator laughed happily, “Little girl, am I right? Are you feeling despondent? Suddenly realizing that everything you’ve worked hard for is just simply impossible. Do you feel like dying now?”
The usual smile on Qiu Jin’er’s face disappeared as she turned emotionless.
On the other hand, Zhong Yue was fully immersed in learning the seal-breaking art and oblivious to their exchange just now.
Suddenly, the old Creator said with a smile, “But nothing is impossible. Hell can be cleansed and the Heaven can also be corrupted. Your lack of foundation can be turned into an advantage if you know the way. And sometimes, it might even be stronger! Honestly, what is the point of reincarnating if you can’t even make yourself useful in your current life? Once garbage, always garbage! Reincarnating will not change that fact!”
“Cultivation is like sailing against the tides of sea, the life of a Qi Practitioner has always been about struggling against hardship and overcoming tribulations. That’s why we cultivate, that’s the one and only purpose to cultivate—so that we can live our lives however we want!”
His deafening voice rumbled in her ears as he laughed loudly, “Your foundation is sh*t, but mine was even sh*ttier than yours. Yet, here I am, standing as a Creator while all my other peers became a pile of bones and ash. I am here because I never conceded to hardship, I never gave up no matter how pathetic I seemed. Fight, fight, and fight! The greater the suffering, the harder you should fight against it! All I said were merely words, but even that was enough to cause you to break down. Haha… truly pitiable.”
Qiu Jin’er grew even more depressed while the old Creator continued, “Hehe, you see yourself as a good-for-nothing trash, but I see otherwise. I see a jewel covered in the dust of her own insecurities, a girl with immeasurable potential. Now, learn and cultivate the art I am about to impart to you. Break apart the clouds of negativity in your heart, and let your confidence grow like a towering tree! See through the darkness that shrouds your pride and stand at the peak of your mind where the light shines brightly upon your soul!”
His psyche billowed through the prison cell as he imparted a mysterious art into Qiu Jin’er’s mind.
“The celestials and demons, gods or cultivators, we are all Qi Practitioners. Even the Realm Monarchs, the Creators, or even the Imperial Emperors, we are all cultivating against the law of heaven! There were no Qi Practitioners when the universe was born, but we exist because we refused to acquiese to the laws of nature. We wanted more, we wanted have a better life, we wanted control over our existence and to dictate our own destinies. And some… want to replace the law of heaven itself! That is the meaning of being a Qi Practitioner!”
“Thus, I named this art the?Great Insurrection Heavenly Scripture?!” The old Creator’s face became contorted by a hideous laugh, “Slaughter the unjust gods! Kill the unfair Realm Monarchs! Crush the ruthless earth! Break the merciless heaven! Exterminate anything, and all those that spurn me!”
He raised his voice as he spoke and eventually began shouting at the top of his lungs, “Who said I couldn’t cultivate?”
“Who said I shall remain a mortal and suffer the pain and agony of mediocrity?”
“Who said I should be born a member of a low and petty race?”
“Who decided that I can never be a god?”
“Who thought they could decide what I am and what I could become?”
“Who decided my fate and when it was my life to die?”
“If the heaven is unjust, then let it crumble!”
“If the earth is unfair, then let it be crushed!”
Qiu Jin’er was shocked, she shook her head and declined, “This art is too vicious, I don’t want to learn…”
“It’s not violence, it’s the anger that brims within from the injustice of life.” The old Creator laughed, “There are too many injustices out there, far too much to witness in a lifetime. It upsets me so much and the anger grows beyond control. It needs to be released! Little girl, I’ve already stimulated the negativity in you, you can decide to not cultivate it for now. But sooner or later, that demon within you will metastasize until it grows out of control, turning you into a wicked, mentally-twisted lady filled with endless anguish!”
Qiu Jin’er looked at the old Creator and thought, You’ve also cultivated the art and you look pretty much just like a wicked fiend yourself.…
However, this was someone she only dared to say to herself.
The old Creator smiled, “My?Great Insurrection Heavenly Scripture?will turn the negativity into a fuel to your cultivation progress. Should you cultivate it, not only that you will be liberated from your demons, but you will also retain your sense of self instead of becoming someone like me. After all, every Qi Practitioner is unique.”
Qiu Jin’er was doubtful, she glanced at Zhong Yue, and after a round of careful deliberation, she nodded heavily and decided to cultivate the?Great Insurrection Heavenly Scripture?.
The?Great Insurrection Heavenly Scripture?was an extreme art created by an extremist. The word ‘Insurrection’ alone clearly portrayed their belligerence toward the natural order of the universe.
As such, the?Great Insurrection Heavenly Scripture?was created to turn one’s anguish into a catalyst for cultivation so that the cultivator would be able to grow strong enough to be able to dictate their own future!
Even though Qiu Jin’er seemed calm and tender most fo the time, her early childhood experience had actually led to part of her isolating herself. She grew up with no one by her side other than Granny Lu, an eccentric old monster lady.
She had been living in seclusion from the outside world, with no opportunity to interact with her own peers, no one to share her joy or sadness. It had always been that way until the day she met Zhong Yue.
In comparison, although Jun Sixie was also in love with Zhong Yue, she had her own things to take care of; but all Qiu Jin’er had was Zhong Yue. That was the sole reason why the old Creator could topple her frame of mind so easily. She was in love with Zhong Yue so much that the mere thought of losing him was enough to almost send her over the edge.
As the negativities in her was stimulated by the old Creator, he had artificially created the perfect conditions for her to cultivate the?Great Insurrection Heavenly Scripture?. However, turning into a madman like the old Creator was something she would like to avoid at all costs.
Two days later, Qiu Jin’er suddenly heard the sounds of worship ringing in her ears. The chants were directed to the Wood Celestial Star, they were the prayers of the living beings for lifelong harmony.
At this point in time, her soul was cleansed and her mind went blank.
Then, a wave of verdant green light rays brimmed around her, indicating that her Innate Wood True Spirit had finally awakened!
As Bi and An once said, she was just a hair’s breadth away from awakening, it was a stimulant that she lacked. And her encounter with the old Creator and the?Great Insurrection Heavenly Scripture?was the exact impetus that pushed her through the boundary.
Finally, she had awakened the Innate Wood True Spirit!
Her Innate Wood True Spirit now shared a certain resemblance to the Celestial Wood Star, being able to employ the energy within from the prayers of living creatures.
