Chapter 236: Devil's Hand (Part-4)

After delivering the message of the king to Antonio, Carlos quickly took his leave with him standing alone in the hallway for a moment to make some plans for tonight's dinner and how to handle if something went wrong.

Looking at the couples sitting beside the bed taking care of Leo who lies unconsciously and chooses not to disturb them and leaves after informing the maids to get some brand new clothes for the family and inform them later about the king's invitation.

As Antonio walks down the hallway with the moonlight of the moon falling on his face and his hair blown by the gentle and cold breeze. He returned back to his office to have a look and organise the work which he had left out this morning and adjust his schedule planned for tomorrow to make up for today.

On the other hand, Ava and Alice and Kai were going through an awkward moment of silence. Not knowing how to continue their talks as they walk side by side. Walking towards the direction of Royal garden where Ava lives and have already made arrangements for Kai and Alice in empty rooms beside her.

Ava residential locations in the central section were only the members of the royal family and occasionally visitors of high status reside. It was already against the rule of royal palaces to allow outsiders with unclear backgrounds to be allowed to enter the central section. It was only due to Ava's status as Princess that an exception was made.

Reaching their destination, Ava didn't stay with them for long and left to get ready. They have already been notified on their way that the king has invited them for dinner.

Looking at the figure of Ava going away, Kai stayed silent and looked at Alice.

"It seems like many things are going on in her mind. Are you not going to talk with her?"

"I can deal with that later, it's not like I am going anywhere soon. Let me first take care of the urgent matters. Anyway are you leave it's already getting dark I don't think you can stay for long."

"Hmm..I will be going now; if you need me feel free to summon me.''replied Alice while a shadowing figure entered their room and merged with Kai's shadow while her body suddenly turned into a ray of light and dispersed.

Waiting for some moments with him standing alone in the room and turned around and looked at his shadow and used rune magic to seal the room.

"Reveal"said Kai with dark magic concentrating on his palm and five mens emerging out of the dark with their bodies tied up with black chain's and a look of confusion and fear in their eyes.

Among them, one man recognised Kai with a look of horror in his eyes. It was him who had made eye contact with Kai when he was assigned to observe the Royal Palace and finally understood that the man who captured them was released to the man before their eyes.

Kai also recognised him and smiled,"Who among them is the leader?"

Hearing Kai, they subconsciously looked towards Milikh, causing his face to lose its colour.

Knowing how easily all of them were captured. He can already understand that there is no hope of escaping. The difference between their cultivation is two large.

Kai remained expressionless as he spoke in a deep voice,"Will you speak up or I have to force it out."

Sometimes later, sounds of crying and sorrowful voices of grief spread in the room with Milikh looking around himself with his fellow mates lying on the floor with broken legs and dark red blood flowing from their mouths as he looked at the person whose hands were covered in blood. He looked more like a devil to him with his golden eyes bringing fear from the depth of his soul.

He has only faced this kind of fear when he has first met his master to whom he currently holds his allegiance to and he's a well known founder of a cult called devil hand who are part of a major power among dark alliances.

Kai first wanted to extract information from there mouth but he soon found that, they are all infected with curse which stop them from revealing anything to related to there plan and purpose whomever he was able to know all about their life experience real with the help of book of life in Arya possession and felt a title pity knowing about there sad past in the start but reading the later part of there life all of that vanish into thin air and beat them up to get rid of his anger.

Looking at Milikh for a moment he left the room while ordering Arya to trap them back in the shadow prison for the time being and decided to wait till the end of the dinner to report to the king directly about this matter and adjusted his mind and got ready to attend the dinner.josei

With the clock striking 9'O O'clock at night. Kai was standing patiently outside the quarter of Ava wearing formal aa he waits for Ava to come out while he heard the whispers and laughter of the maid's and smiled gently.

Waiting for ten minutes, Kai finally heard the door opening with Ava stepping outside wearing a neat and clean light green of piece dress embroidered with a golden ring like design at the edges with matching shoes, her princess crown and her free flowing glossy green hair.

Stared by Kai, Ava gently smiled,"What do you think? Do I look pretty?"

Kai nodded and gave her a thumbs up.

"Let's go or we will be late."

Ava nodded but also noticed the absence of Alice.

"Where did Miss Alice go? Did she not come with you?"

"She is a little tired after a full day of running around and when to take some rest."

Kai was not lying. Different from Arya whose body is made up of elements essence not having any physical limitations. Alice possesses a physical body which is currently in the Zeon continent while she can project herself soul by creating a temporary body made of elements essence but it still affects her and tires her up.

Hearings that Ava silently nodded as she with Kai walked towards the royal palace.
