Chapter 480 - The Truth Is Out?
Chapter 480 - The Truth Is Out?
"Tsk, tsk, you are in for a good surprise, hehe," Luna suddenly giggled, making Damien quite confused but at the same time relieved to see that she was no longer moody.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know. You should find that out yourself. But just to make things fair, I bet I can tell you something which you might have suspicions about already," Luna said in a veiled tone.
"What is it? Is it about Reva?" Damien asked with a thoughtful expression.
"Oh, yes...she is…" Luna said something to him, and as moments passed, Damien's eyes slowly widened before relaxing as if he suddenly made sense of things.
'No wonder…What is really going on with her?' Damien felt that Reva was going through a lot more things than he thought and felt that he had to clarify things with her.
"You really knew about this the whole time? Why didn't you tell me this before?" Damien asked in an indignant tone.
"Who knows...anyway, even if I knew what fun it would be if I told you everything? Besides, it's not like your life depended on it," Luna said with a shrug.
"Haa…" Damien took in a deep breath to not let a nerve explode on accident because of his frustration, but he felt that Luna was always like this. How else would a goddess like her keep herself entertained?
Since Damien knew that simply following her would make her easily sense and catch him, he decided to take advantage of his ethereal lightning art, especially Mirage of Myriad Phantasm, to sneak around the corridors and get into her quarters first before she could.
He knew she would anyway have to come here, and since she was walking at a normal pace, he didn't have to worry about her reaching there first.
All he had to worry about was that no one else would see him sneaking in. But after coming near the corridor where Reva's room was located, he noticed how there were only a few disciples standing here and there in the hall without any teachers in sight, fortunately.
Since his cultivation was far ahead of even the most powerful disciple in this school, he didn't have to worry about any of them seeing him zooming towards Reva's room.
Meanwhile, inside his soul plane, Kalypso, who had woken up after her rest, was confused to see her Master sneaking around like this. She wanted to ask him what he was doing and if he needed her help but decided not to disturb him, seeing how focused and serious he was.
She then looked over to the other side and saw that Luna was surprisingly floating right outside her Shard of Essence.
"You finally came out?" Kalypso asked in a surprised tone as if she expected Luna to stay upset for a longer time.
"Hmph, why wouldn't I?" Luna casually said without even glancing in her direction while looking through Damien's eyes as if she was watching a movie.
She had a slight smile on her face seeing how tensed Damien was, and was feeling quite the anticipation for what was about to happen.
'Serves you right, hmph,' Luna inwardly smirked.
Kalypso squinted her eyes as she obviously took notice of Luna's expression that seemed a bit off and moved towards her to ask, "What are you smiling about?"
"Why? Can I not smile as I wish?" Luna casually shrugged, making Kalypso feel piqued, thinking that she was definitely up to something.
"You should keep looking...Your Master is in for a surprise, hehe," Luna said with an amused glint in her eyes.
Kalypso pressed her lips together as she felt that she couldn't miss this.
Meanwhile, Reva was walking back to her quarters, spellbinding everyone on the way, though her expression seemed glazed as if her mind was elsewhere.
Her brows were slightly creased as well, making one wonder if she was angry or sad or disappointed with something.
With a blank expression, she entered her room and turned around, only to have her eyes flutter for a moment as she got startled by the presence of the man standing before her with a smile.
If it was any other time, she would have easily sensed the presence of somebody else in her room. But right now, her mind was quite distracted and only realized his presence too late.
But her expression turned into a frown as she asked coldly, "You...what are you doing here? Do you know the imperial punishment for breaking into my room?"
Damien was surprised by her tone, and it did seem like she was genuinely angry with him, making him ask, "Reva...I came to see you, but you have been ignoring me....Why?"
He wondered if it was because he was absent for a while without notifying her beforehand.
Still, it shouldn't be this bad, right? He wasn't really away for such a long time.
Hearing his words, Reva clutched the ends of the fabric of her dress, but she then remembered something and said while maintaining the same tone as before, "Why you ask? How could you....How could you lie to me all this time? You were never really my friend, were you? You just wanted to use me while I, like a fool, got played by you. But not anymore…"
Damien inwardly gulped since it was indeed true he approached her to use her and gain information. But over time, he wanted to befriend her with sincerity and had decided to not meet her with ulterior motives.
Still, he couldn't understand how she suddenly came up with these conclusions unless someone ratted him out to her. But who could possibly rat him out since only he and his women knew about this whole thing?
His women wouldn't surely betray him, but then he remembered what Luna told him, and suddenly he felt that it made sense.
Still, Damien asked to see how much Reva knew, "What do you mean? I don't understand what you are trying to say…"
Reva slowly shook her head as her lips visibly quivered, "You are Alchemist Azrael....aren't you?"
