Rise of The Anti God

Chapter 486 - Why Work For Both Sides?

Chapter 486 - Why Work For Both Sides?

Hearing his words, Reva felt her heart becoming lighter and warm, even if it sounded selfish, coming from him.

Anyway, it was too late now that certain feelings had already taken root in her heart and were only developing more and more as time passed.

Reva cleared her throat as she took a step back, "Let's...talk later. Someone must have seen you come inside. Even if they don't know what is going on inside, it will be troublesome if they become suspicious of you staying here too long."

Reva felt as if she might lose control of her thoughts the longer she was in the presence of this man and needed some time to pull herself together.

Damien let out an amused chuckle as he continued to hold onto her wrist and said, "Stop giving excuses. Even if somebody saw me, it's just a dedicated student and a devoted teacher having an 'extra class'."

"Dedicated?" Reva looked at him with a look of disbelief, wondering what part of him was dedicated to learning anything from her at all.

"Come...sit with me. I have a lot of things to ask you, just like how you asked me some things. It's your turn to satisfy my curiosity," Damien didn't wait for her to answer as he pulled her along towards the balcony where he and she usually had extra classes together.

"Wait! Haa…" Reva only feebly protested before she let out a helpless sigh, seeing how adamant like a child he was yet the most dashing man she had ever met.

His characteristics like his boldness and calculative recklessness were some things that made her attracted to him. He helped her become freer instead of worrying about her burdens all the time.

The cage that had restricted her for all these years finally didn't feel indestructible anymore, all because of this man.

She felt that as long as she let him hold her hand just like now, she would be able to come out of this cage and become free at last, no matter how distant that dream seems.

Damien pulled up a chair and gestured to her to take a seat while he sat on the other chair. The reason he decided to sit on the balcony with her like always was that he didn't want anyone to get suspicious just in case some expert did see him going into her room.

At least he could say that he entered her room too early, and since her door was not locked, he took the liberty to wait.

Even if she was an imperial princess, there was no need for her to lock her door since who would be bold and daring enough to sneak into her room in the middle of the day?

He was only taking these extra measures out of concern for her safety and to not make her worry.

No matter how much he wanted to be with Reva, he knew that right now was not the time to act too reckless and seal their own fates.

Even what happened before was something he had to gamble, hoping that he didn't read her wrong.

Still, this was reckless enough, but strangely enough, in Reva's case, he felt that he could not go wrong.

"So teacher about this…" Damien suddenly began to talk about alchemy which confused Reva, especially after what happened a minute ago.

How could he pretend as if nothing happened? Did that...kiss mean nothing to him?

However, before her thoughts could go out of hand, she saw Damien slipping a piece of paper to her with some letters written on it. But the surprising fact was that the language Damien had used was not something this world was familiar with but something Damien came up with on his own...or so he claimed.

But she knew how to read this language since Damien taught her after she made a subtle request, feeling curious about it since the moment Damien gifted her the friendship bracelet with some foreign and unfamiliar letters inscribed on it.

Since she was a studious woman who loved to learn things that didn't seem ordinary, this easily piqued her interest.

As Damien had spent months of extra classes with her, he had the time to teach her his mother tongue from his past life's world gradually.

Since Reva possessed not only powerful cultivation but a powerful soul as well, she was able to easily pick up even if Damien only spent a few minutes teaching it to her during those days.

At first, Reva was impressed that Damien was able to come up with such a beautiful yet complex language on his own. Damien felt a bit guilty about letting her think like that, but he felt that it didn't really matter as she would one day know everything.

And now, as she read the letters on the piece of paper Damien wrote, her brows furrowed since it read, 'Can you tell me who you are...other than being the imperial princess of this empire...Why are you the young leader of the Forsaken?"

Reva bit her lip slightly as she knew Damien would obviously ask this question, and it was not something she could hide forever from him.

Damien knew that this was the only safest way for him to ask the important questions that had been bothering him all this time. Even if someone snatched this paper from him right now, they wouldn't be able to understand a single word written on it.

Damien wanted to know why an imperial princess like her would bother working for her empire's enemy organization.

Reva slowly dragged the piece of paper towards her as she used her ethereal energy to write down her answer.

She then looked at Damien briefly before slowly pushing the piece of paper towards him.

Damien eagerly looked at the piece of paper and had his brows raised when he read what she had written,

"Because I am half Zirian…"
