Chapter 591 The Largest Gathering In The Continent
The Annual Rising Sun Convention was held every year at the center of the continent, and this place was named the Heavenly Square since the entire place was a square piece of land where an impressive grand and ancient building still stands to this day, named the Rising Sun Palace.
However, the Heavenly Square had more than just this building but was like an entirely separate town except for the fact that nobody was allowed to enter the Heavenly Square except during the time of the convention.
This place was considered to be sacred since the history books said that it was the place where the ancestors of all four empires were born, and so even places of worship were constructed in their names to let people pray and revere them whenever they get the chance to come here.
There was also a large closed arena right beside the grand central building, connected to the building, though it had never been used, at least for thousands of years.
And surprisingly, people were already hearing rumors that the tournament to win the Celestial Princess' hand was going to take place in this arena which also meant that everyone would get to revisit Heavenly Square within a few months.
By now, grand processions from all four empires were already here in the Heavenly Square as people revered the grand figures, especially the imperial family members and the powerful Elders that accompanied them.
The crowd was in millions, and if it was not for the imperial guards from all four empires keeping them in control, the whole place would have gotten flooded with them.
From the Lancaster Empire, the Lancaster Emperor was seen coming out. He had a gentle yet sharp aura surrounding him, and his gaze seemed to be quite piercing, just like a sword. Despite being 900 years old, he maintained a handsome young and clean-shaven appearance, looking no more than 30 years old. In fact, he had the youngest appearance compared to the other two emperors.
cO,m Following him was his son, Maxim Lancaster, who smiled at the people calling out to him and maintained a gentle smile till he reached the Rising Sun Palace.
Soon the Gale Empire's procession reached the palace, and from the grand carriage, the Gale Emperor stepped out with a stern inexpressive look as if he was still pissed about a certain something or someone.
Following him behind was Kale Gale, the first prince of the Gale Empire, who had a reserved expression as if his mind was somewhere else.
A lot of people from his empire were calling out to him with love and worship, and Kale Gale did greet them back as well. The Gale Emperor squinted his eyes, noticing that his son seemed to have gained a lot of favorability from their people within the past few months.
Even though he told Kale that Tristen was going to be the crown prince, Kale accepted his loss and said he would work for the welfare of his brother and their people and support them.
This made the Gale Emperor feel strange since he didn't expect Kale to be so mature. But then he thought that since Kale failed so many times, he just gave up to not make a fool of himself anymore. After all, reputation for people like them was not something that should be easily tarnished.
From the Rong Empire, a large procession arrived, though not as grand as the other two empires.
Olivia Rong stepped out with an intimidating expression, though only the people from her empire felt a bit of fear for their empress, while the people from other empires only saw her as a puppet ruler that was being controlled mainly by the Xeton Empire.
However, she had a slight nasty look on her face because Tristen was following right behind her with a wide smile. Since he was the guest of the Rong Empire, for now, nobody found it odd he came with her.
However, what most people wanted to see was not her nor the other rulers but the otherworldly beauty…the Celestial Princess…daughter of the Rong Empire.
And so when Lily stepped out in a grand yet elegant golden embroidered gown, all the people forgot to breathe for a second as they saw her lovely angelic features, her pure starry eyes, and her stunning figure, especially her glowing rosy skin.
Her long silky black hair was overflowing over her back, extending even beyond her buttocks, making it quite an attractive sight.
Lily smiled at the people, especially ones from her empire, with a sincere expression since these were her people, after all, the ones her parents once looked after, and they were the reason she never ran away from the empire.
However, now, after thinking about what the Rong Ancestor said, Lily couldn't help but feel sad that she might have to escape from the palace and go into hiding since the tournament was approaching and with suspicions of her having a relationship with Damien was already being discussed by the other emperors, it would only be more dangerous the longer she stayed in her home.
She also didn't want Damien to come to visit her recklessly despite wanting to see him badly. However, she had no idea how to escape and go into hiding all on her own. There was really no safe place for her to hide, and all she could think about to keep her heart calm was by thinking about Damien.
And finally, the grandest procession arrived, which was from the Xeton Empire, of course. The procession descended from the air and landed near the Rising Sun Palace as everybody looked on with reverence, especially since the strongest man on the continent was sitting atop the large winged ethereal beast…The Xeton Emperor.
Just feeling his gaze scanning over them briefly made the people feel as if even their darkest secrets were pulled out into the open and that they could never hide anything from this man.
However, Ruthren had an amiable smile as he got down and was escorted by the Grand Elders into the Rising Sun Palace.
But another important imperial family member stepped out from a carriage, and it was none other than Arthur Xeton, who had a dull and pale expression. Apparently, the last few months had been like a nightmare to him.
