Chapter 634 A Tactic Not To Be Used Against Hal.
Chapter 634 A Tactic Not To Be Used Against Hal.
While the fight between Melinda and Cornelia went on, Hal had been engaged in a battle with Atricia Evgeny who was the leader of the Sensual Guild.
It did not take long and more than the first serious second-hand force for Hal to know exactly what her rod was capable of and he began to avoid getting hit by it.
After the moment he had been smacked away by the force before he could really process the fact that Atricia was a member of Elsa's clan, Hal decided to table all thoughts and all processing of information and strictly focus on delivering an ass-kicking.
Atricia was confident and she kinda had a right to be confident just by her strength and her wielding of the large rod but she was only about to learn that, as a lady who was a realm above Hal's cultivation, she was in the worst possible matchup.
When Hal had been hit back by the rod's second-hand force, Atricia had quickly followed up with a thrust of the blunt end against Hal but who was not about to let that happen and he practically vanished from the spot.
Atricia was mildly surprised when he was able to get out of the way of her attack so fast that she could not see him move but the keyword was 'mildly' as she was quick to react and spread her Cosmic Pagoda senses about the room to know exactly where Hal appeared.
The fact that he appeared suddenly behind her was not a matter she focused on as she spun and swung her rod at Hal who leaped up just as he had done before.
Atricia sneered as Hal had tried this before and had been unsuccessful and then she let out the second-hand force of her rod against Hal whose eyes were closed as he had leaped up.
The force had no impact whatsoever and went through Hal as though he were a mirage and confusing as that was, Atricia was even more confused when a kick connected with the side of her face while the mirage smiled wickedly as it vanished.
*Bam!*
The kick she received was from Hal's real body whose eyes had been closed to hide the darkness and the shift into the shadow demon bloodline.
When used sparingly, the shadow demon bloodline proved to be the part of Hal's devil bloodline that he could afford to use in public in front of Haronians and still very well keep its nature secret.
While Atricia was getting sent away by his kick, Hal followed up with quick movement and he reached Atricia before she even stopped moving to deliver a second hit that smacked her even harder into the ground.
Before he was able to follow up with another blow though, Atricia was able to roll away and all the while, she had kept a hold of her rod.
She returned to her feet and looked around at the battle going on between the small members of the Sapphirine Guild that had followed Hal here and her lieutenants and it was not going well.
Hal agreed in the opposite sense and was quite glad to see the Sapphirine Guild doing well with Suri and Nicole being the most actively destructive duo among everyone on the scene.
Sassy was with Melinda's group, not without persuasion from Hal and Hal could see through their telepathic connection that however wild the Suri-Nicole Duo was, Sassy was being wilder.
She was doing everything and anything short of using her toxins or taking on her serpent form.
Atricia hated the state of her Guild and she hated the presence of the Dome keeping the vast majority of her Guild members out of the fight.
But what she hated the most was how good Hal's hits felt on her body.
The blow and kick he had struck her with had her flushing and feeling warm all over while her inner thighs were tingling and being a dual cultivator from one of the most dominant clans in the Doxon Duchy, she was not about to start asking for Hal to 'stop it'.
She hated the feeling and how it was causing her judgments to fall short little by little but she shook it off and mostly considered it all a part, and a necessary part in fact, of a fight.
As an Evgeny, Atricia just like Elsa could use her bloodline energy to cast sexually dominating spells on both males and females and the only reason she had hot used it on Hal so far was that she felt that she could very easily defeat him without it.
After all, she was still a whole realm stronger than him.
The Evgeny family spells were meant for battles against equals or to bring those a tad stronger than them down a peg and have them do their bidding until the spell wore off.
Anyway, feeling Hal's strikes making her feel good, Atricia knew, or at least she thought she knew what Hal was making use of and decided that she was going to avoid direct contact between him and her body from then on.
That plan... Was not entirely successful though.
To keep Hal away from her, Atricia began using Cosmic attacks and skills but Hal just punched and tanker them all with a mix of his incredibly sturdy physique and his Sovereign Dao.
Attacks at the Cosmic Pagoda range were useless against him and he was not even going all out yet.
For him to actually be in danger, Hal would have to face a cultivator at the Semi-saint realm and even then, his defeat was not entirely sure especially if he was allowed to go all out with his bloodline and total abilities.
As for him as a mere human not using his bloodline and still 'only' at the Cosmic Aurora realm, as long as there was no counter to his Dao, and there was realistically none at the Cosmic Pagoda realm, then he will just keep swatting attacks aside like he was doing right now.
Watching Hal smacking and meeting her attacks and unleashed skills with such ease and no worry coupled with no injury, something did not feel right to the Sensual Guild leader.
Hal was displaying way too much power and prowess for someone with his cultivation and as she studied his stride, she realizes there was a sense of self-knowing confidence about him.
Hal Doxon knew who he was.
"He has discovered his Dao" Atricia mumbled at the realization that Hal has not only discovered his Dao but had comprehended it to a point where he could implement it in battle.
That was what him apart from an average Cosmic Aurora realm expert.
That was what set him apart from herself, as while she was cultivationally capable, she still did not know who set was exactly and what her Dao was.
She decided to table the thoughts when Hal was in front of her though and swung her rod at him but Hal did not move away from the rod and rather stopped it from hitting him with his fist.
*Bang!*
After stopping the rod in place, he spread his fingers to grab it and pull it aside so that he could slam his palm against Atricia's shoulder and send her flying back.
He did it all before she could fire her rod's second-hand force and as a further revelation of the fact that he had never really been in danger of her in the first place.
But Atricia was smiling...
Not because feeling Hal's palm on her skin had felt good (too good in fact) but because she believed she understood Hal even better now.
She believed she knew what made him better and it was his Dao.
If there was something her Evgeny bloodline spells were more than capable of, it was the muddling up of ideal and scrambling of who/what someone thought they were with what the spell-caster wanted them to feel.
In other words, she was sure she could disorient Hal's established mindset on who he was, and what his Dao was, with a strong enough spell.
Fortunately for her, the Evgeny spells were powered by sexual energy and Hal's constant pleasure-inducing hits had surely riled her up enough to provide her with enough sexual energy to power the spell and Atricia wasted no time casting it.
It barely took a second and she added Hal's distinct energy (which she extracted from his pleasure-inducing hits) so that it would seek him out and never miss.
The spell came in form of a pink pentagram that then formed into an arrow and went in haphazard directions and took two seconds to hit Hal and corrupt his entire system.
Turning him into a puppet that Atricia ordered to remain still for just enough time for her to put the battle to rest.
Alas, before she could implement any of her attacks, Hal took control of her spell she used it to form a mental link between them so that Atricia could see who/what she was really facing
"A spell to control me? Hahaha, You really have no idea who you're messing with, do you?"
