Chapter 892 It Could Go Either Of Two Ways.
Melinda sighed once the girls were gone and then she rolled her eyes aggressively at the room.
"You know, it's pretty irresponsible for you to just hide away while I discipline YOUR kids," she said.
Hal kept stroking Sassy's serpentine head while she let out hisses of contentment and did not react to his wife's words because he knew they were not directed at him.
A chuckle sounded to Melinda's side.
"Come on, you're better at it than we are." the voice said and with a shimmer, a woman in regal imperial robes, with a plunging enticing neckline, appeared.
Rita was as beautiful and sexy as ever. Her looks had not changed in seven hundred years and now had the glow of divinity to heighten what was already believed to be at its peak.
Other shimmers appeared in the Throne room, and soon, the core members of Hal's harem were present.
Every single one of them was as graceful as ever but of course, there were changes to their overall looks to better express their ascent to divinity and their total embrace of either their Ordinances or the creation of unique bloodlines.
Marla's black hair was thicker and fuller than ever and floated behind her head like a cloud of darkness.
When she moved, it moved with her but in a slow, creepy dark way. Her Imperial robes were black and even shimmered with every movement she made while also being flecked with gold that was reminiscent of the household she belonged to; The household of Hal, the Infinite Sovereign.
After the war seven hundred years ago, when Marla let herself go into the darkness, she had only sunk deeper. Not only becoming a Paragon of Darkness but also using it as a stepping stone to reach heights no one else could have ever imagined reaching.
Transforming her entire being to be the epitome of the Elemental Ordinance of Darkness.
Amelia stood close to Marla.
As the two closest in age to each other among the core members of the Harem, the two had always been close.
Speaking of Amelia, having a child had not hindered Marla's development so why should it hinder Amelia's?
Amelia had become the Paragon of Perception and had also made it a part of herself to the point where her very existence seemed like an illusion. She became a fickle creature whose very existence was unpredictable and this matched the fairy-like beauty she had gained upon becoming a goddess.
Even as she moved, her imperial robe appeared to be shifting between states of matter. One minute it was solid and then it appeared to be flowing like divine rain and then, she looked like she was shrouded by divine clouds.
She was always toying with the perception of all who saw her Giving teases to her delectable beauty that only Hal had the universal right to behold.
"That's right. You're comfortable being the bad 'guy'. Being harsh just comes easy to you" Amelia said with a smile and refused to be reproached even after Melinda shot her a glare.
Malinda rounded on Emily who had appeared by her side.
"You're a grandmother, you should have a hand in enacting discipline," she said.
Emily rolled her grey eyes.
"Oh please, it's been over five hundred years, Melinda, you should understand by now that a grandmother's job is to be fun. You indulge all their naughtiness and leave the headache of discipline to the parents.
I've put my Parental disciplining days behind me." she said with a chuckle.
Despite her Cultivational and Ordinant progress over hundreds of years, Emily had kept her grey eyes as a constant sign that she was part of the Antonov family who had only grown in strength and prestige since after the war Seven hundred years ago.
The Antonovs were now one of the Imperial Pillars, a level of prestige that was only beneath the Imperial Family and was above the power of a Duchy in order of Heirachy.
Emily was dressed as she had always dressed, in a sexy gown, except the designs etched into the fabric as well as the material used in making it, gave it the Imperial feel she deserved as a Sapphirine Princess.
Of course, among the Sapphirine Princesses- The title used for the five core Harem members who were closest to Hal's heart- only Emily had chosen not to have a child.
"I've had my fun as a mother, now I just want to spend my existence in my Man's arms," she said which was funny as she was one of the front runners who pressured Hal to have a child.
After taking control of the Nexus world and creating Nirvana, Hal was ready to settle into the start of his rule as Cosmic Emperor but his Legion of women, tens of thousands of them, came together to state he had to sire children.
"How can the almighty Emperor not have children to continue his bloodline?" they said.
Hal countered.
"You only require continuation of the bloodline when death is in your future. I will never die and never relinquish my seat as Emperor so I need no heir."
The Legion retorted immediately.
"It has nothing to do with death or inheritance. We just want to dote on your children. It's the natural next step"
At this point, Hal had started paying closer attention to Loretta's cultivation development after he set her on the path years before so he brought her into his household.
He took her in as his daughter.
He gave Loretta his bloodline and granted her the potential and foundation required to reach the very pinnacle of cultivation success.
That shut the Legion up for a while and for a century, they were happy to dote on Loretta.
Rita even took her under her wing and thought her the use of the bow as well as arrow spell casting which she had gotten ever better at ever since creating her own bloodline with her Reality Ordinance as a baseline.
Anyway, after a century, the conversation came back up and Hal was finally coerced to have a child of his own.
With Melinda, his first- his Empress, he had Sylvie. Named by Melinda's grandmother and Sylvie's great-grandmother, Isabella Dane.
From the moment he held his Divine offspring in his arms, Hal felt a kind of affection he had never known before; Parental affection.
He was hooked and he wanted more.
With Rita, he had Appoline. Rita let Svetlana name her daughter.
With Amelia, he had Nellie. Emily picked the name as the doting grandmother she was.
With Marla, he had Thereze. Since he was Marla's everything and she had no snooping family members to lay stake to the naming, Hal was happy to finally get to name one of his daughters.
Alas, he was blindsided when Marla gave Karmen that right.
Apparently, they had gotten close enough for that to be a thing.
As she grew, Thereze spent a lot of time in Karmen's care which was where she not only picked up aggression and a love for battle but also a fondness for broad swords.
Anyway, the Legion was appeased, and Hal could go back to plotting the end of his Primordial adversaries.
Speaking of Primordial adversaries,
"Three days..." Hal said suddenly with his hand still casually stroking Sassy's head.
The two words called order into the throne room. At least it stopped the bickering that was about to break out and called the attention of the ladies to him.
"In three days, it will be time for the meeting of Primevals. I have waited Seven hundred years for this moment and I believe, so have they.
I have trained and prepared for this moment and again, I believe, so have they.
That meeting will signal the start of the final stretch. The final war during which we shall cement our eternal rule over the three realms and the very concepts of existence.
In three days, it all either goes our way...
... Or it all goes to shit."
