Chapter 295: Plans & Assassin
Normally Jake Long wouldn't even spend a single neuron to think about trash like him, but there was something that had surprised him a bit.
Young Master of the Bao family had sent him a letter, with a 1$ note inside, saying,
'Let us bet who will stand high at the end!'
This was a clear challenge and bet from Young Master Bao Hu, what made Jake Long wonder most though, where did this guy found his guts to do this.
So he wasn't really concerned about the trash in front of him, he was more concerned about the person hiding behind him.
This letter surprised a bit even Tianlong Yun because he knew Bao Hu better than Jake Long, and there was no way that he had the balls to do this.
But this would just make things more interesting in this city that was under rapid development. They would just help him grow wealthier and bigger.
While they were fighting on the light, everything was in his hands in the dark. At the same time, they helped him by taking the front scene.
But of course, the one who would have to deal with this entire situation was Tianlong Xia, because Tianlong Yun was totally concentrated on his training and cultivation.
He could only send this information to her, how she dealt with it was her problem. But he had blind faith in her, she was the only one person who would never think of betraying him.
At this moment, Tianlong Xia was having a look at the latest reports and information sent to her. It was a lot, to handle this entire burden she had even appointed 2 assistants.
They were disciples that were being trained and cultivated but besides the brawn's these two had also the brains. Those two girls were both of the same age, 15, and were being trained by her.
There was a lot of new information coming, especially since their spying network structure was still lacking since they were still in the process of being built.
Nonetheless, though, the fact that all this information was coming was already a good thing, they had reached so far that their spies had entered Shanghai and Beijing.
Not only the spies but even their scouts were also now selecting new disciples from those two big cities. This increased their recruitment numbers.
Tianlong Xia was thinking that after the return of the shadows, she would appoint a few of them in important centers around the country to train and cultivate these disciples.
At the same time, they would be in charge of creating a foundation for the Clan and also try to take control of these cities.
These branches would start slowly growing in the dark, while the Shadow Clan started taking the attention, and made a name for themselves.
The idea was simple, only the name of the Shadow Clan would start getting attention, but no one would be able to find its roots.
It was like a smoke show, they would start placing their name there, so when they surfaced the opponents didn't get startled and direct everything on them.
With this line of thought, Tianlong Xia gave her instructions on how to proceed from now on. Her instructions were strict and precise.
She wasn't the only one thinking of the future though, all the leaders of the big organizations were thinking about what to do from now on.
The balances seemed to have changed a lot, while the trio alliance between the Royals, Orientalists, and EITS was a big pretender, so were the Masons, and the Justice Sect.
Especially the 'Justice Sect' with the manual they were able to get from the 'Inheritance Cave', and the trio alliance with the manual found at the new canyon.
At this moment only the Masons seemed to be losing ground, but the control over the Earth and the history they had was enough to keep them on the race.
Nobody dared to underestimate anyone. And everyone could feel that soon a big storm would be rising that would involve the whole planet.
Everyone was trying to develop as much as they could while staying low as much as possible. They were trying to hide their hands before the show.
The only good thing out of this situation was the fact that this was the calm before the storm and the time where the little ones had the best moment to grow.
But while the big whales were getting ready for the war approaching, there were even little individual fishes that were trying to survive this upcoming storm.
In one of the dark allies of Tianchang city, there were two shadows confronting each other. One of them was wearing a cape, to hide its identity.
While he appeared to be just like an ordinary human at the moment, the air itself seemed to be stagnant around him.
Under the cape, his eyes were small and black, were looking with complete coldness at the person in front of him.
It looked like he wanted to measure or evaluate the biggest assassin in these parts of the world. While it was a woman, by looking at her curves, no one dared to take her lightly.
In his eyes seemed to be hidden a deep desire of battling this assassin, but his assignment was different right now. He was here to hire her.
For a moment only silence was ruling this alley, as the two shadows seemed to be assessing each other, without moving even a step from their spot.
After a short period of silence, he suddenly took out, a few photos from under his cape. The lady assassin in front of him didn't seem to be disturbed by his quick move.
She just stayed there watching towards him calmly. She seemed like a big lake that wouldn't be disturbed by the throw of a small rock.
The guy in front of her seemed to be a bit surprised, but this just made him evaluate the assassin in front of him even more.
The lady assassin was wearing a black ninja suit that was only revealing her calm and cool eyes. There didn't seem to be any emotion shown on them.
Nothing, they were like a deep abyss where every emotion or feeling would just enter and disappear like it was nothing.
With the same coolness and calmness, she elongated her hand and took the photos from the person across her.
Looking at the photos one by one she seemed just like she was going through the photos of some dead people, but when she saw the last one, her eyes seemed to tremble for a moment.
It was just a fleeting moment, that nobody could notice, but her eyes in that fleeting moment showed a sign of emotion.
After looking and remembering all the faces shown in the photos she took a lighter and burned them to ashes.
Then looking one last time at the person across her she throws a little smoke bomb on the ground and disappeared from her place.
Her disappearance didn't seem to startle the cape guy, and he just looked towards a direction when three shadows started running in that direction.
While he hired her from her reputation this didn't mean he totally believed her skills totally, he had to give her a little test.
Only if she passed his little test, could she really be capable of doing this job? With that thought in mind, he left the place towards his home.
When he reached his home though, he found three bodies at the front door. It was the little test he sent to his hired assassin.
While normally you would expect for him to get angry at this scene, quite on the contrary he started laughing out loud.
Immediately hearing his laughter, guards of the mansion, and other people working there came towards the door, only to see the dead bodies and their Young Master laughing.
He seemed like he was a mental person, a madman. But nobody even dared to say or do anything that might upset him.
They were all just looking at him worriedly. Seeing the people around him, the guy stopped his laughter, and turning towards the guards he ordered with a dominating voice,
Guy:" You guys take the bodies away, and bury them. Also, clean the place, or else it would start stinking around here. We can't have that in such a respected mansion can we?"
He seemed to not care in the least about the death of those three people, quite the opposite he was happy to have found the right person for the job.
If it was needed he had a lot of these guys who could die for him without saying any single word. So losing these three to find out he had the right person, was just normal for him.
Then entering inside the mansion he went immediately for his office. There he was alone and the room was safe from any form of spying.
This was the safest place in this mansion, and probably in the entire city. There were two special guards guarding this place against any kind of interference.
He entered the office easily, the guards even bowed as he was passing. Inside there was someone waiting for him, it was Master Ming Tong.
He was relaxing on the armchair behind the desk, drinking some expensive and rare wine, while he seemed to be contemplating something.
Seeing the new entrance to the office, Master Ming Tong was awakened from his reverie, and with a calm and monotone voice asked,
Ming Tong:" So how did your assignment go, dear disciple of mine?"
The newcomer showed a demonic smile on his face, as he said with an excited tone,
Guy:" Even better than I expected Master, she was able to send all the three bodies to our front door."
Master Ming Tong seemed a bit surprised but not much, as he said,
Ming Tong:" Apparently her reputation doesn't make justice to her. Even I wasn't able to notice her. We should be careful of her, either she is on our side, or we kill her.
Tell me, disciple of mine, how confident are you of having a chance to kill her?"
