Royal Dragon and Phoenix transmigrate to Earth

Chapter 486: Cannon Fodder & Sacrifice

Chapter 486: Cannon Fodder & Sacrifice

Chapter 486: Cannon Fodder & Sacrifice

As they saw precisely the man who had just encouraged them, breaking through of the trap first, and then all the other powerhouses behind him.

It was just unbelievable! These guys had just pumped them up, and now they were running without even turning their heads back.

What kind of fucking situation was this!? Just what had happened with that, fight until the end we will be victorious phrase.

They all felt so betrayed right now, but none of them could do anything about it. They had just made their first attack, winning them the anger of their opponents.

Those trees certainly didn't seem like any pushover either, as even their first attack hadn't caused them too much damage.

One had to know that most of the people in the crowd were mostly Golden Core Realm or below cultivators, and a minority of Nascent Soul Realm cultivators.

So, while their numbers were high, their quality and strength were kind of low, so their combined attacks caused some damage but not too much.

At the best they had reached the trunks of some trees, leaving their marks there, and at the worst, they had only broken down a few branches.

If Tianlong Yun was watching this, he would most certainly think that they were not bad, as their opponents were level 2 and above trees.

But considering their numbers, it was more than expected! Even after the chaotic battle and self-destruction, they still had more than 40 or 50 thousand left.

Which made one wonder how many were they at first, and just what kind of massacre did they perform on each other, and their selves.

Anyway, that didn't matter right now, as they were all left with a dumbfounded look, and betrayed by their morale leaders.

Dumbfounded as they were there was no way they could block the attacks coming their way at the moment.

In almost the same moment more than 10.000 of them were pierced by a branch somewhere in their bodies.

Some were pierced through their arms, some through their legs, some through their head, and the majority of them through their hearts, having an instantaneous death.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, no one could see, or sense this whole bloody spectacle happening, but even the pressure of that place wasn't able to totally block that iron blood smell from spreading.

With that smell piercing their noses, they all awakened from the stupor of being betrayed, as they now forgot victory, and had only one goal in mind, survival.

It would certainly be extremely difficult, but their survival instinct was kicking into most of them, as they were ready to explode with all their potential in order to find a way out of this.

Well, not all of them were feeling that instinct of survival kick in like that, as more than a quarter of them got frightened to death, and just started running once again, creating chaos once again.

Once chaos broke amidst them, it was bound to be a lost battle, as more and more of them were encroached by the chaos, and started running like headless chickens.

Since they were even unable to see where they were, and what position they had, most of them ran into their own death.

They run directly in the direction of the enemy, only to be pierced through their hearts by a branch, or more, just adding to the dead.

Like this, all the scaredy cats ran towards their own death meeting a more than deserved end, but the ruckus they created just got bigger and bigger.

More and more cultivators of different realms started running behind them, seeking their own death, completely ignoring the necessity of having a calm head in these dangerous moments.

But no one could remind them of that, as the chaos just grew bigger, and the same happened to their disadvantage against their opponents.

Probably even their opponent, the mother tree itself didn't think that it would be so easy to clean them out, it was certainly an unexpected result.

In the meantime, the group of the powerhouses, and their followers who had just escaped the initial surrounding, were in a truly complicated situation right now.

They had thought that once they made their breakthrough through the surrounding they would have more space to run towards the main area, but apparently, they were mistaken.

As soon as they took out the level 2 trees and one level 3 tree, on the surrounding, and gotten out of it, the level 2 trees were immediately replaced, as they were now blocked by the level 3 and a level 4 trees.

One had to say these trees positioning, and cooperating seemed to be perfect, it was something out of this world.

In fact, they could clean these trees out, even though not that easy, but they had something else to consider right now.

They weren't the only ones to have thought of this strategy, as their local counterparts had done exactly the same.

No one wanted to lose in this competition, as they knew that since it was so difficult the prize waiting at the end would certainly be stunning.

Different from the Qi cultivators of Earth, the locals knew what awaited them as the prize at the end, but that was an even bigger push for them in order to secure that prize no matter what.

For centuries, and millennia they had tried all they could in order to enter the Nightmare Forest and try to take the inheritance out of here, but they had never been able to succeed.

Who would have ever thought that there weren't monsters in the forest, but that the entire forest was a monster?

It was only now that they were finally able to understand why they had always failed. But that didn't matter right now, what it mattered was that they had to do everything, absolutely everything to get the inheritance.

Even if it meant sacrificing their own people, or their own descendants, they had to be the ones who got their hands on the inheritance.

So, it wasn't weird for them to be cruel and ruthless just like the cultivators from Earth, and in fact a tad bit more than them.

Since their selection was the same for both sides, certainly even the results would be the same, as they were also facing a line up of level 3 and level 4 trees.

Even though the locals' cannon fodder was able to resist for long, the mother tree didn't seem to think of them as a threat, as it had pulled all the level 3 and level 4 trees to face the 10 powerhouses.

Once again, all the three sides had been brought to a stalemate, and only the trees dared to take the initiative to attack and try their best to take their enemies down.

The trees weren't holding back in the least, they were attacking with their full strength as if trying to benefit from these guys' stalemate.

The first to clear their side would most certainly lose in the future, as they would not only have to clean their side, but they were going to most probably be blocked by the other side's trees as well.

So, they would have to fight a battle and a half or two before they could escape the surroundings. While that wasn't impossible, it consumed a lot of energy.

Taking into consideration that both sides would have to face each other after they took down their enemy, made things much more difficult than they looked.

Not to mention that those fu*king locals had an endless amount of cultivator's puppets, that would fight until they were completely obliterated.

No matter how one looked at it the cultivators from Earth were at a deep disadvantage right now, and they had to find a way to turn the tables.

But they didn't have a lot of time either, as most probably the Locals had already asked for reinforcements.

No one knew what stretched beyond the Rock Fortress but one thing was for sure, this wasn't their full strength.

So, the more time passed, the trickier did this whole situation become for them, as they were trying their best to take a break.

The locals seemed to be relatively calmer though, as they only needed to keep the stalemate for some more time, and they would be able to have their win.

The people that were participating at the moment were only representatives of their King, for such an important matter, surely their King would come himself to have a look.

As long as they waited enough for their King to reach their place, they would have the complete advantage over their counterparts, kill them, and then take the inheritance.

Even though it was impossible for them to keep the inheritance for themselves, they would still be able to drink some juice from the soup of bones, right?

Their King would certainly reward them for their efforts, and achievements. Perhaps they would even be allowed to cultivate their Souls Higher.

New positions, new standings, new territories, new bodies, new puppets, new slaves, everything was there for the taking.

In fact, even though they had a really sharp and fast processing brain, they couldn't help but dream with their eyes open about what the future held for them.

As for Tianlong Yun!?

None of them seemed to care about him, as he didn't have the ability to thwart their plans, he already had too much on his hands by facing that level 4 tree.

If they weren't mistaken he would be dead in less than 5 more moves. It was a pity that they wouldn't be the ones to torture him for trapping and using them, but it didn't matter much.

As they were thinking like that though, Tianlong Yun took out his saber, cut the branches blocking his way, and reached the mother tree's core, while lightning lighted the sky
