Chapter 529: Soulania Kingdom, Count Riva Da Sal

Chapter 529: Soulania Kingdom, Count Riva Da Sal

A loud and powerful voice sounded through all the place,

"You damn alien humans, come here and die for this daddy!"

It was impossible to not hear that voice, as it was more of a sound attack than just a loud shouting in their direction.

But even hearing that everyone felt like it was just a momentary nightmare, there was no way this was real.

After all, this place was supposed to be deep into the enemy territory, and also a really safe place. Only the people in there, and the top brass knew where this place was, no one else.

The logical idea would be that they had a mole in their side, but all the people in this place were handpicked after serious testing.

There was no way one of them would suddenly turn into a mole for the enemy. But the fact remained that they had heard that shout.

As if trying to assure them that they weren't just hearing things, a big explosion took place the next moment, as the whole structure seemed to shake.

In fact, the 'secret hideout' they were using was the mansion of a count they had managed to win on their side, by offering him help in becoming the King of Soulania Kingdom.

Soulania Kingdom was classified as the 5th in the ranking of Soul Lands 13 Kingdoms, and they had quite the resources.

Just like Earth though even Soul Land was a land where the strong ruled over the weak, and the weak tried to outsmart the strong, and take them down.

Count Riva Da Sal was someone who thought highly of himself, and someone with the greed and ambition to become a king.

It was precisely that ambition and greed that their organization was using, as they were in a symbiotic relationship with each other.

The Russian Mafia organization gained their protection, and credentials, while the Count Riva Da Sal gained their strength, and help in sabotage, and human resources.

It was more than clear that each side was just keeping the status quo until they managed to gain what they needed, but until then they were like the best of friends, or even brothers.

Going by that logic it should have been impossible for the Count himself to have betrayed them too, as it was something that guaranteed his death.

It was impossible for the King to not have understood the greed of his vassal, otherwise, he wouldn't be worthy of being a king.

It was useless to try and find the culprit or the traitor at that moment, as they first would have to find a way to deal with the situation at hand.

Master Yedlin Andros was in turmoil, and in a very bad mood as well, when that voice sounded earlier he had been able to understand the shouting guy's cultivation, and it wasn't anything good.

That guy was almost the same as him, perhaps a bit weaker at level 6 Boundary Ascension Realm, but his battle prowess seemed to be almost the same or even bigger than his.

That meant that if he dared to go outside and have a fight with that guy the best scenario would be that they would end up in a tie, and that wasn't any good news about him.

Right now, the only thing that they could hope was that Count Riva Da Sal would be able to push those guys back, as they escaped.

Damn!

He was furious! Just as he was about to taste these two delicacies that he had loved, at first sight, something like this had to happen.

He wanted to go out there and kill those motherfu*ckers that spoiled his good time, but the fear for his life stopped him from doing that.

His background might work on cultivators and organizations from Earth, but in front of these Soul Land barbarians, it was useless.

Not to mention that if he got out it would be the same as proving those guys outside right. At the moment they might have knowledge of them being there, but they didn't have proof.

The situation was still not the worst, as long as Count Riva Da Sal made his appearance and haggled with them they could still escape the premises.

But damn was he mad!

Looking at the old fogie that had tried to oppose him earlier, he said in a really bad mood,

"You will pay for this latter old man! Now someone go and wake that fu*cker up to buy us some time!"

The old fogie's body shivered upon hearing those words, and who wouldn't after all, everyone knew this Master of theirs. Whoever that phrase was directed to would be faced with sure tragedy.

At that moment, the old fogie was just like a lamp being suddenly turned off, as he was broken. He would never believe that all his life, all his contributions to the organization would be rewarded by that.

He knew better than anyone else that the Head of the organization loved this brother of his too much, as he was the reason he was able to keep the other brothers in check.

He even gave him his own mistresses to keep him happy, and in his side. He was worthless in his eyes compared to that animal, and for the first time in his life, he felt defeated.

All his life he had lived like a sly snake, uprooting his opponents and settling his position, but in face of this, his slyness was useless.

Just like expected, the moment that they heard that, even the other people he had personally handpicked for this mission, started staying away from him.

Like he had some kind of virus, that would spread to them even if they just stood by his side. He was a terribly unfortunate man.

But the people outside didn't care about him, or his Master, as thousands of experts had surrounded the big mansion, and they were ready to attack.

Normally the mansion where they were now was on the inner side of the big city-castle of Count Riva Da Sal.

This place was supposed to be a bastion for him, where not everyone could enter, or get out easily.

The structure of the place was just as the Fortress Cities that were used to trap the Earthling cultivators, but of course more bendy, and more modern.

Just like those places he had powerful protection barriers, that cost a lot to keep active but almost had the same protecting power.

Even if the King himself decided to attack his barrier he wouldn't be able to easily break through it, and this was something that he took pride in, and invested a lot of his resources.

So, such a night attack shouldn't have happened, these guys should have been stopped at the outer gate of his City-Castle.

One could imagine his surprise when he heard that powerful shouting awakened him from his peaceful sleep as he was hugging an Earthling woman. It was just unbelievable to him.

It couldn't have happened in a worse time, as right now there was also an important guest from his partner's side visiting his place.

If there were only those underlings he could just capture them, or kill them and pretend as if nothing happened.

But that guy was special, if he killed that one, then his partnership with the aliens would be crumbled to dust, and he didn't want to lose that.

Still, this made the situation worse, as he was trapped between a hard place, and a rock, and he couldn't afford to kick either, otherwise his leg would break.

Even though he had just woken up his brain was working at an amazing speed, as he was trying to calculate every possible scenario.

He was in a truly hopeless situation when suddenly a voice startled him from across the bed,

"Well now that you are awake, perhaps we can have a small talk Count Riva Da Sal!"

The voice took him by surprise, and even the last dregs of sleep that were hovering over him immediately got cleared as he looked with shock towards the direction and said,

"Who are you? What are you doing here?"

The fact was that he couldn't see who was talking there, and what was worse he couldn't even feel him there.

For someone like him, who was a Count in the Soulania Kingdom, and a Soul Grandmaster at that, there shouldn't be many beings he couldn't sense being so close to him.

Otherwise, wouldn't the whole Soulania be just a joke? These kinds of existences were most definitely people who were higher in the food chain.

So, while he asked those questions with a bit of strength, and heaviness mixed in his shock, the truth was that he was shaking inside.

His ambitions and greed were high, but his heart wasn't that strong. In fact, it took a lot of effort for him to not get out of his bed, kneel on his knees and ask for forgiveness.

At this moment, the existence that had just spoken out to him undid its stealth and appeared in front of him, it was a cultivator of Boundary Ascension Realm wearing a black mask.

Most importantly that thing was a puppet, he was able to notice that in just one glance, but he wasn't able to recognize its signature soul.

The next moment, the puppet disappeared once again from his senses and his eyes, as it started to speak,

"It's a pity that we had to meet like this Mister Count, but you didn't have any other choice, as you will surely die without my help!"
